Jan 6, 2014I have a Galaxy 10.1 Note. how to download some images. I was then printing them via the epson print app. Some of them automatically appeared in gallery in the download folder. This however was random and in some cases they didn, t appear.

May 9, 2010I'm making an alternative camera App. As you might expect my App involves taking pictures and saving them to the sdcard. On most phones (and the Emulator) everything works fine, pictures appear in the built-in Gallery App straight away. However on the HTC incredible images only appear when the user restarts the device. (I'm talking about an HTC Incredible phone with an sdcard, I know some of them shipped with internal storage only, but this is not the issue I'm talking about) The code I'm currently trying goes like this: I've also tried MediaScannerConnection.scanFIle() with no luck. I wonder is the problem is due to the HTC incredible being originally designed to operate with internal storage only, maybe the Gallery App has issues with media stored on the sdcard. Sep 18, 2010I have never had any gallery problems that i can remember, but all of a sudden my images/folders arent showing in the gallery. I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.
Jelly Bean :: Organize Apps Into Folders?
May 15, 2014Can we organize all of our apps into folders in the app tray? I know that you can do it and have them displayed on the home page, but I want to do it on the app tray itself. Can I put all my shopping apps together, my sports apps together, etc.? I don't want to change the home pages, just the app tray.

Oct 1, 2013I have problem with my note 3. When i go to apps drawers to create folder with the apps i want, it works great until i restart my phone. After the restart, I only see empty folders while the apps are still in the apps drawer.
This is what I have tried so far.
- move apps from SD to device to SD again
- move apps to device
- unmount SD and restart
- Factory reset
Still the apps will be gone from the folders after a restart, but the folders will be there with the name i gave it. This only happens in the app drawers, but not if I created a folder in the widget page.
Jelly Bean :: Backup All Settings (especially App Folders) Without Rooting?
Feb 28, 2014app that does a complete backup of my device (Note 3) that will restore all settings including the app folders that I have created. I have used Samsung Kies, but that does not restore my app folders. I have spent a lot of time setting up my apps into folders, but there is no app that I can find that will restore app folders. Many of the apps say the restore system settings, but it doesn't appear to me that those settings include the app folders. Coming from an iPhone, this is the biggest frustration that I have so far with my device. iCloud will restore all settings so that a new device is exactly the same as the one it's replacing.

Aug 28, 2012I'm an iPhone user. Upgraded from a AT&T Samsung Fascinate to a AT&T Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
When we put her SD card from the Fasc into the Sky, all her pictures didn't transfer over, I guess only the main "Camera" album. I used the Astro app and see that the additional images that aren't showing up must be in a subfolder called ".thumbnails", since it's full of image files.
I downloaded Rescan Media and ran that but it didn't work.

Sep 30, 2013I decided to purchase a new camera bag with a section to carry around my Tablet, a Fujitsu M532 running Jelly Bean. The main reason was so that when we're on holidays, I can view the photos on the bigger screen direct from the camera - a Canon EOS 7D and them delete them if I don't like them. I've read some information on the internet and it seemed that I would need to download one of the Apps that also gives you the ability to control the camera from the Tablet; I'm not really bothered about that, but always there if I wanted it. So I downloaded DSLR Controller, and paid my $ 5.94. In theory as soon as you switch on the powered up camera the Tablet should detect it and hey presto. Well mine doesn't, and also if I select the option to search for it, no joy. I have purchased the correct cable converters to get the Tablet's Micro-USB into the Camera's Mini-USB and the cables work fine away from this set-up. I'm assuming that my Tablet is just incompatible, but surely there must be some way around this.

And the storage is getting lower every day. And I just found out that even though I store all the pictures and videos on memory card. But still size of gallery data is increasing. And right now it's 1.96gb.
how to decrease its size?
And one more thing this size 1.96gb is after deleting the thumbnails in miscellaneous tab.

Sep 30, 2013i have all my contacts and calendar in my google account. I added a birthday to one of my contacts (on the web version of my contacts google.com/contacts) and it shows up as expected in the web version of the calendar google.com/calendar (see screenshot).
However, when i view my calendar on the nexus 4 (stock calendar app), the new entry fails to show up, even though all calendars are fully synced etc (see screenshot).
I have checked the contact details on both google.com/contacts and on the phone and the added birthday shows up correctly, it's just doesn't seem to want to appear on the phone version of the calendar. I have checked that all calendars are synced on the phone (see screenshot)
I have tried clearing the app data and cache for the calendar app - no change.

Jul 19, 2012Does the built in sms app fix the receiving 1 or multiple images as a slideshow? I know it isn't really a bug and is just how the app works, but I was wondering if there were any changes to the sms app in Jelly Bean for those who may not want that feature.
I am currently using Handcent but sometimes I still get images as a slideshow. I'm also having to click on the message to download it before I can view the slideshow.

Now I am unable to do so. It worked fine with the icecreme sandwich operating system. But it hasnt adapted to the jellybean.

Dec 13, 2013I just noticed this morning that my picasaweb upload button is missing in my camera/gallery app.
There used to be a button in the upper-right corner (right next to the share button that allows you to select gmail, IM, etc) that would allow me to upload the photo to a selected album (or create a new album) in picasaweb. I'm not sure when this disappeared, but I noticed today that it is no longer there. I installed an OS update a day or two ago, so it may have been then. Now I see the share button, and a gmail button, and that's it. If I select the drop down menu from the share button, there is no picasaweb option there.
I can see all of my picasaweb albums on my phone, and am synced with google photo in my settings, but the upload button is gone.

Jan 15, 2014I haven't seen anything about the privacy implication for me as the recipient of the picture.I do not have a Google+ account. I have sync turned off for contacts because I think that Google has proven themselves too untrustworthy to have that information.
The only way I can see that the pictures get into my contacts is that on each incoming call the phone app takes the phone number in the incoming caller ID and queries Google to see if a picture is available. In the process, this gives Google a complete list of everyone calling me, an unacceptable privacy violation as far as I'm concerned.
Is there a way to disable it so that my incoming calls are not leaked to Google?

Feb 13, 2014I want to be able to pull in google plus photos when using photoshop touch and autostitch apps etc. But their import options only access local folders on my device. I can download individual photos one at a time to a generic download folder from google plus to use, not full albums. When I try to create a new folder in gallery, and move the Picasa/Google Plus photos I get a notice saying "unsupported file." I read somewhere that there should be an option in gallery that makes photos available offline, but I don't have that. Just basically trying to be able to organize and download my g+ photos for use with these apps, in a less time consuming way.

Dec 16, 2013My photos all at once disappeared from my gallery. If you look in the folders they are all still there but all of the old photo's have the same Authored Date (7/23/2003 6:36 PM) and the same Date Created (5/9/1970 11:20 PM) the Date Modified is unique as it is the actual date the pictures were taken... These files are not hidden. I do not remember exactly what day I upgraded to 4.3 but it would have been right around the time that the issue started. I tried Scan Media and Rescan Media apps with no success.
