HTC Desire :: Photo Gallery Corrupted / Some Picture Files Unreadable
Nov 17, 2010Got a bad SD on Desire and some photos corrupted unreadable, I copy the content to PC and then format the card, and then copy back everything to the card, but some photos still unreadable and shown as dark, the total photos count doubled due to corrupted FAT I guess, now I got a new SD what should I do, how do I copy things over to it and fix the FAT?

When I call up my photo gallery pictures I get a strange format where all the photo windows are showing at a tilted angle with one of the pictures showing as a wallpaper but its blurred and its driving me crazy. Feb 27, 2010I noticed that when I take a picture that the photo does not show up in the Gallery until I restart my phone? Also when I select to edit a contacts photo to select a photo to put in it the gallery comes up empty with no photos in it. I close it and open again and they all appear. I have had this issue with the original microSD card and a new 16GB card. Is this a common problem or is this just my phone?

Nov 14, 2009I just got my new Droid phone 2 days ago. Great phone! But I have many things to learn. I have a question about the saved pictures. Why is it that when I open my photo gallery there are more than just the "all photos" folder. Seems when I take a picture, or save one off the Internet or transfer the pics off my old phone,that it makes a new folder for each different set of pics and puts all the pics in the "all pictures"folder. Is there any way I can just have the "all pictures" folder as the only one?

Jul 19, 2010I'm having problems trying to use files after moving them.
Example:
I took a bunch of pictures at an event, the created a folder for that event and moved the pictures into it. I can still open the pictures one at a tiem by navigsting too them, but the galleary app still shows the thumbs, but cannot find them.
Example 2:
I downloaded an mp3 for a ring tone, and while in the downloads folder the music player found it and I was able to set it at a ring tone. But I tried to create a ringtones folder, and then music could not find it, and just playing it by opening the file would not allow me to set a ring tone.
So how does this work? I have seen references here to folders called Media and ring tones, but I see nothing like that in the file system on my phone. Where does one put music if they want to actually use the music player?
Is the DCIM folder the ONLY one that works with the photo gallery? Is the Downloads folder the ONLY one that works with the music player?
HTC Droid Eris :: Picture Won't Show Up In View Picture?
Feb 7, 2010I use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

I got saving working, and now I want to automatically refresh so they don't have to turn off their phone before it shows up in the gallery. I googled around and saw this: sendBroadcast(new Intent(Intent.ACTION_MEDIA_MOUNTED, Uri.parse(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory().getAbsolutePath() ))); I tried doing that, but it didn't refresh for me. May 19, 2010After the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?
