My Samsung Instinct does not connect for them to transfer my info to my EVO. Can I take the memory card out and install in the EVO to transfer info? If so how do I capture the info into the new phone?

Not had my desire long but down loaded a few apps for it they all seem to be stored on phone memory not the sd card. what is stored to the sd card seems to be unused so far. do you have to set it up to use sd card or does it know one is fitted. does it switch to sd card when phone memory full. will run out of space soon if can't get things to store to card instead of phone mem.

The problem I have is that there is an 8GB memory card with 2.2 gb free and yet it keeps telling me the memory is low (17.31mb on the internal phone storage) and yet it is only giving me the option to uninstall things,. How do I move apps or anything else onto the sd card as I can't find a menu for this.

I already bought a 8gig card. Should I return it? Will the 2gig be enough plus the phone memory? I know I'm being a little cheap but the extra cash wouldn't hurt.

Are there any specific types that help the hero run faster? I remember seeing a certain thread saying how a certain type of memory card doesn't save the cache (or something along them lines!). View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 10.000+ text messages (sms) om my old phone that I would like to get into my gmail account using the SMS Backup app. So far I have managed - with superb assistance from Boni2K - to get them exported from the old software i had them in (MyPhoneExplorer) as an xml-file that the SMS Backup and Restore app can read.
Problem now is that the SMS Backup and Restore will restore them to the SD-card (it is indicated with a small SD-icon next to the restored messages), and the SMS Backup app only backs up messages from phone memory to GMail. Can I move the restored messages from the SD card memory to the Phone memory?.............

Unsuccessful workaround I thought I could navigate to the 8GB drive via ASTRO, and then play the avi files, but Rockplayer show as a player option!
