My home screen doesnt always rotate automatically. Sometimes I have to slide out the keyboard, slide it back, then turn the phone to vertical and sometimes that doesn't even work. I have selected auto rotate and it still does this.

It seems as if my phone doesnt saying 3G it just shows bars doesnt even show 1X. Im wondering if there is a setting im missing or do i need to reset/update something.

View 2 Replies View Relatedhere is another 2.2 problem I am having, this one is kinda bothering me.I am using a program, need it to rotate horizontally, I turn the phone, nothing happens.I shake the phone, nothing.Shake it again, finally the screen rotates.If I start some apps with the phone upright, the app opens sideways.I turn the phone sideways, turn it back upright, nothing.It takes several tries before the screen rotates properly. Im sick of having to move the phone all over the place if I need it to rotate.

View 16 Replies View Relatedis it possible to manually rotate the screen or fix the current screen orientation (with a key/button)? because it really annoys me having taken portrait pictures that cannot be viewed (with the media gallery application) in a portrait fashion on the milestone. this is because it always rotates the portrait picture back to landscape when rotating the milestone from landscape to portrait. right now there is no way of properly viewing portrait pictures on the milestone other than tilting your head (holding the milestone landscape and tilting your head along).this cannot be the way it was intended to be, right? or do I have to get a different viewing software which allows you to choose screen orientation? is there such an app?

Normally the notification LED will blink when i get a text while doing normal stuff or nothing at all. But when i am gaming the LED doesnt blink. Has any one have a problem with this? Also, when i open a message from the notification bar instead of the message box in the dock. The dock still displays the number of messages unread even after reading it.

View 19 Replies View RelatedSo as of a few weeks ago, my droid does something kind of strange and annoying. Usually happens every couple days or so..
Basically it seems like its lost service all together.. it doesnt recieve any texts, and everytime i try to send one it says "cannot send." Once i see it do this a few times i turn it off, then back on and my phone is flooded w/ texts that i hadn't recieved since it started doing the whole thing.
Its almost as if my phone loses service for an hour+ then when i turn it off/on again it gets its service back and recieves all the texts ive missed... this is starting to get really old..
My signal at work is about -100 dBm on average, funny thing is the bars go from 0 to 4, they just randomly bounce around every 10 seconds or so.
anyone have a solution to the bars moving? I thought the X was supposed to have better signal than the Dinc i just took back, but it looks like it doesnt, it just tries to say it does with the higher bars.
The incredible was getting between 97-103 dBm just like the Droid X.
Is there a Froyo ROM out there that doesnt have a 10 minute boot time?
OK it is not exactly 10 minutes but my boot times seem to have grown from 2.01 to 2.1 to rooted 2.1 and rooted Froyo. Plain Vanilla Froyo 1ghz
I'm having problems with my auto rotate. I use launcher pro, and have the homescreens set to not rotate. This always left my apps (handcent, gmail, etc) free to rotate within the app or popup now I only get one or the other if auto rotate is on, apps are stuck in landscape, and vice versa Ive deleted LP and started over, gone into recovery and wiped cache, battery pull running out of ideas?

And when i close the phone, like lock it .. the Led keeps blinking green ? It stayed like this for almost two days .. and then just then I signed up for this forum it sent me and email to my phone .. surprisingly .. my Led blinks , the phone vibrates and GMAIL shows on the status bar ..What can I do to prevent the GMAIL &continuously Led blinking .. to happen again ? I plugged the USB cable into the computer, then into the phone, and nothing happened. The phone does not show up in "My Computer."
I've tried several different USB ports, with the same result.
I loaded the Motorola Drivers (found here), rebooted, reconnected the phone, and still nothing.
I've tried opening Media Share, selected "Computer", "Copy", "USB"...and then on the step when I'm supposed to "Enable Memory Card Management," I press the button, select "PC Mode", "OK", "Next", and then I'm told that "Memory Card Management mode must be turned on to continue." (The same thing happens when I select "Windows Media Sync" or "USB Mass Storage".)
Am I missing something, here? Is there a setting that I need to enable on my phone in order to make it visible to Windows?
I just bought the Nexus One unlocked for AT&T and really like it. 1 wierd thing is that when I rotate the phone counter clockwise, the screen goes to landscape just fine; but when I rotate it clockwise it does not go to landscape "the other way". And, if I'm holding the phone 'normally' and rotate it 180 degrees ('upside down') it doesn't follow.My youngest daughter delights in telling me that her iPhone does this with no problem. What's up with that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Galaxy doesnt lock the screen anymore after i dial any number from my contact list.
The steps to reproduce the problems are:
- Turn on the phone
- Unlock the screen
- Press "Call" button
- Select "Contacts" tab
- Select some contact and make a call
- Press "End" button (dont need to wait the call to complete)
- Press the "Lock" button
- At this point, the screens turns off, but the phone doesnt lock. If i press any key the screen turns on and the phone remains unlocked
From this point, the phone doesnt lock the screen anymore, even after the lock timeout.
To workaround this problem i need to restart the phone OR use a task manager to end the process "Dialer", so i presume the dialer application is preventing the screen to lock.
Actually im using GalaxyHero v1.1, but i had the same problem since i bought the phone with the original Android version. I upgraded to IH4, IH8, II5 and others, restored to factory defaults many times, but the problem persists with all versions.
