View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently I've noticed that the volume on my Droid is super loud even when I have it at the lowest setting. I'm can hold the phone inches away from my ear and still hear what the other party is saying. This happens with my wired earpiece as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone know why they changed the functionality of this? You used to be able to press volume down all the way from loud, to vibrate, to silent (which would not vibrate). Now it either bottoms out at vibrate with certain settings, or skips vibrate and goes to silent. This annoys me because I have to actually go into settings now to put it in silent mode (since I have it set on always vibrate). I've yet to find a combination in the new sound settings to restore the functionality to what it was previously in 2.1. Anyone else running into this "issue", or know a combination that is the same as before?
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust picked this up yesterday and I'm very impressed. This is my first droid phone and it blows away the other phones I've owned in the past. Not really a fan of the iPhone and have been on AT&T forever..it's time for a change. My last phone was a Nokia E72 which is a great phone, but wanted more! Gonna put that on E-bay soon hah.
The only complaints I have so far are the notification sounds are quiet even at the max volume setting. The Nokia E72 is a lot louder both in ringtone and sms tones. Also, the four buttons on the bottom sometimes don't respond. I find I have to occasionally hit the same button a couple times to get it to work. Very minor tho imo. It's not too frequent.
I am trying to make ringtones on my Incredible for my GF. Everything is fine, but the MP3 are almost inaudible.
View 3 Replies View RelatedStill debating on which phone to buy. With the droid x the major concern is soft volume (some phones seem softer than others); rumors of over heating and wifi issues.
Is there a known hack to fix the volume issue; or has Motorola ack the issue and have publically indicated a fix is in the works? Next weekend is no-tax weekend (in Ma) so I might try to pick a phone up then...
I'm pretty sure the wifi issue is a firmware problem (shame on moto for using an encrypted boot loader and having bugs like this one); not sure if overheating is limited to a few phones or is a design issue.
Anyways please add comments (negative and positive) relative to alternatives (samsung s and evo are major contenders). With the samsung the major negative is it pauses now and then and also have soft volume (there is a fix for the gps issue); for evo the major negative is +$10 and poor battery life (this phone is nice and loud) also the display is a bit dimmer than the droid x (an issue for outdoor usage).
It seems so basic but I can't seem to increase call volume without turning up ringtone volume as well. am I missing something here?
View 7 Replies View Relatedthere will be an update that will increase the poor volume of the X10. Was that one of the famous SE lies too? The R2BA02X didn't change anything for me. Still cannot hear the phone ringing, still cannote understand my partner on crowded places. So what is this?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI can't find it in Ringdroid, and haven't found any other music editing apps.
View 7 Replies View RelatedNot sure if ne one knows about this, or even cares but I was excited so im sharing.I Froyo'd my droid using the instructions from droid-life found here: Download: Newer Motorola Droid Froyo Leak FRF57 | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog. When I did so, my Missed Call app stopped working. However, Missed Call LED found in the market works great on my Froyo 2.2 Droid.Happy rooting everyone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble hearing the beeps that are heard for incoming calls when I am listening to music. Is there anyway to change this to something more obvious?
Either making it louder and the music playing quieter, or even pausing the music and notifcation sounds or ringtone playing would be good. I cant seem to find a fix. I am missing many calls like this.
Is the speakerphone on the bar in the back have only one speaker or is it dual speakers. Because I ask this, one one side of the bar it sounds louder than the other side.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to disable the volume control button as it works on the ringer volume? I use locale, but I bump those buttons often enough and turn the ringer off completely.
View 27 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a used Eris and love it. It's my first Android phone, and it works flawlessly--most of the time. My main issue is the volume settings. None of them actually adjust; my ringer and notifications ring at full volume all the time and my In-call volume is absurdly loud. I have searched this forum and have found many have issues with low volume. My problem is the opposite. I have tried adjusting the volume in the settings screen and while on the phone talking to somebody. Neither works. While adjusting the ringer volume, it just rings at the loudest volume all the time. My firmware version is 2.1.
View 3 Replies View Relatedscoured "call volume" threads and not sure if this is experienced by anyone else. Intermittently when I answer a call I can barely hear the other person. Call volume is at the highest setting. I try making it lower then higher and nothing changes. If I end the call and call the same person back I will get normal call volume behavior. This happens every 5-10 phone calls.
sound like an issue with the hardware?
1.) Model Number ? Droid
2.) Firmware Version ? 2.0.1
3.) Baseband Version ? C_01.3E.01P

5.) Build Number ? ESD56
I have a BlueAnt ST3 and the volume is great when you hear the callers voice or it says "connected to phone", etc. But the volume coming from the voice of the Evo bluetooth asking me to speak now or verifying my caller choice is very low. I have looked in the bluetooth settings but don't see anything related to volume. Is this just the way it is? If not, has someone figured how to increase the phone volume without increasing the overall volume of the phone (media vol, ringer vol, etc).

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make the sounds on the Eris louder? I have put in music from my computer using MP3 gain at 93 db. and it seems really quiet most of the time. I can try and raise the db some more, but does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere that is curbing the volume? My wife has the Eris too and her phone is louder playing the same song.
Mine seems to have quieted for some reason and it is not a speaker blown or anything. Just quieter than hers is and a bit hard to hear if in the car with the window down. I noticed it is really low in volume if I am listening to Last FM, Pandora, or Stitcher Radio. They are hard to hear at all if the window is slightly down.
every time I make a call, receive a call, turn the phone off, turn the phone on, loose service or gain service, a voice says "Verizon Wireless". This is very annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. Changing ring tones and such does not work, still says "Verizon Wireless". Is there anyway to turn this off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing. Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my captivate 3 weeks ago from Amazon. It works well overall and I do enjoy a lot. Besides the GPS issue, low in-call volume bothers me all the time. Calls can only be heard clearly in a very quiet place, otherwise I need to keep saying sorry to people on the other end of line. I did search around the forum, no useful information on this subject can be found. So I am curious whether this issue only happens randomly on some handsets or it is a already solved issue which no one even bothers now?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've noticed many threads on the volume levels of the HTC Desire, all to do with the speaker volume for music, notifications and alarms. I have no problems with these, they're perfectly acceptable to me. However, the in call volume on this phone is ridiculously low, if there is any noise in the room at all I can't hear a thing and this is with the volume maxed. Using headphones or the speakerphone it is fine. Is there a fix to increase the in call volume beyond the current maximum?
