View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make the sounds on the Eris louder? I have put in music from my computer using MP3 gain at 93 db. and it seems really quiet most of the time. I can try and raise the db some more, but does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere that is curbing the volume? My wife has the Eris too and her phone is louder playing the same song.
Mine seems to have quieted for some reason and it is not a speaker blown or anything. Just quieter than hers is and a bit hard to hear if in the car with the window down. I noticed it is really low in volume if I am listening to Last FM, Pandora, or Stitcher Radio. They are hard to hear at all if the window is slightly down.
I hate that the volume control rocker changes both ringer volume and media volume. Is there a method to make a universal volume control? When I listen to podcasts using listen, I hate to have to wait for the podcast to start before I can adjust the media volume.....any suggestions?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust picked this up yesterday and I'm very impressed. This is my first droid phone and it blows away the other phones I've owned in the past. Not really a fan of the iPhone and have been on AT&T forever..it's time for a change. My last phone was a Nokia E72 which is a great phone, but wanted more! Gonna put that on E-bay soon hah.
The only complaints I have so far are the notification sounds are quiet even at the max volume setting. The Nokia E72 is a lot louder both in ringtone and sms tones. Also, the four buttons on the bottom sometimes don't respond. I find I have to occasionally hit the same button a couple times to get it to work. Very minor tho imo. It's not too frequent.
Mine feels a little loose, and it make a rattle sound, am i the only one with this? its like the plastic isnt tight or something, but when you press it its nice and firm to "click" up or down.
also the bottom of the screen/whole left side where the KB is kind of dips down about a hundreth or tenth of an inch wen you press something on the screen on that side, im guessing thats normal for a slider.
there will be an update that will increase the poor volume of the X10. Was that one of the famous SE lies too? The R2BA02X didn't change anything for me. Still cannot hear the phone ringing, still cannote understand my partner on crowded places. So what is this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.
Is there any program that can edit a sound file to make it louder when used on the g1?

View 27 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that their "System Volume" gets increased to max by itself?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI always keep my system volume turned all the way down. I don't know why anyone would want their phone to make obnoxious sounds when turning off. When do most people turn their phones off? Church, movies, meetings, basically anytime you want it to be QUIET. Anyway, I digress.
Something keeps turning up my system volume. Often when my phone shuts down due to low battery I hear the stupid shutdown sound. I think it may also have happened a few times when powering the phone off manually. I am rooted and I know I could rename the files, but I am getting tired of working around the bugs on this thing and having to keep track of all the files I rename. I try to keep it as "stock" as possible.
Any ideas on what might be turning my system volume up?
I noticed that when i turn don't the volume with the rocker button on the side it says ringtone and only lowers the ringer volume. The system and notification volume stays loud. Is there and way to control them all at once?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a samsun galaxy s2 t989 from t mobile, and i have a aquestion, how I can adjust the volume. I enter the options menu sound system and upload volume but low volume listening. I saw on the internet a key * # 197328640 # I can get but I can not change the speaker says the value of 53, this would be the reason why I listen to low.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI live in Canada and after months of eagerly waiting, I finally got my paws on the HTC Desire from Telus (network provider). After having it for a little over 2 weeks now I've got nothing, but good things to say about the overall performance of the device except for the Call Volume!!! When I make a call or receive a call the Volume is so quiet I can almost never hear the person on the other end.
Have any of you had this issue or found a way to correct it? I've seen it commonly talked about on some other threads, but so far nothing on this site. Please tell me I'm not alone in this.
Edit: I should add that yes I have the call volume maxed and I have no issues with the Speakers when playing Music or Videos. Just Call Volume during Calls.
I am trying to increase my volume for the handset. I have the original factory codes set at:
0 = -16db
1 = -12db
2 = -8db
3 = -4db
4 = 0
5 = 4
When I go into the master settings to change the RX volume codes, I can not figure out how to make a negative number. Can someone help me get in the right direction to change the volume settings? My volume is so low, I can barely hear when on the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Cyanogenmod 10.1 (self-built) on my Samsung I9300 Int., but I assume the question applies to every android version (I'm new to android development and flashing custom firmwares to my phone, but I have thorough experience with other embedded devices and gnu/linux):
I'm currently modifying a system apk (specifically LockClock.apk), which comes with CM10.1. From time to time, I "adb push" a modified version of the apk to my /system/app. (When the app works), it works without problems until the phone is restartet. After the reboot, the application does no longer appear to be installed (though the modified apk is still present in /system/app). I have to "adb push" the apk again, to make it work again. Is there a way to make the app permanently installed after an "adb push"?
