So I've searched high and low and can't figure out a good (idiot proof) tutorial for setting up adb? Can someone put one together (for windows) or point me in the right direction? I currently use terminal for almost everything, but most people write their tuts for adb. If you write one, please start simple and at the bottom and work your way up.

Could someone write a tutorial for setting up free voice calling without using VZ minutes or point me to one that works with the Inc? It's kind of confusing because it's not just one app that gets it all going. Help! I'm out of minutes!

I'm back on the forums, FINALLY! I finally got fed-up with dealing with Verizon and their rediculas prices. I had 2 phones on my 700 Family Share plan and it was nearly $160 with NO extra features. Just phone. Not internet, no texts, basic NON3G phone.. Looked into other carrirers and found Sprint... What is that? It's HUGE!... It's the EVO 4G. I'M THERE! I am spending the same each month as I was with verizon, with a Smartphone plan. I love it!

I had to make a choice between my Droid Eris and purchasing a vehicle for the future. Of course, the vehicle won; so I no longer have the Eris *pout*. I hope everyone has fun with the future updates and conversations regarding the Eris and 2.x updates. I thank everyone that has helped me out and the 50+ who thanked for this Thread.
I want to set my brightness to 30 but have no way of telling what percent I'm setting it to. Can someone help me out here?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to do it? I took a picture in portrait that fits the Droid X screen size perfectly and I want to use that as my wallpaper. I have scrollable wallpaper off and don't use the landscape mode for the home screen. I have that turned off as well. So really it makes no sense and its highly annoying.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm wanting to set up another email account and when I select the new account button on the setup account screen, it takes me to a screen with a "Motorola service agreement" and I have to agree with the terms and conditions before continuing. Is this correct? Do all email accounts go through a Motorola server? The same thing happens with setting up Facebook, MySpace and other services.

His palm treo would anounce the person's name that was calling, he liked this for when he didnt have his phone near him, he would know who was calling and knew if to rush and get it or not. I'm not a android user YET, I have a Curve and waiting for the Nexus one to go on vzw to do the switch, so I have no idea if this option he's looking for is available for his Droid.

Everytime I go select it, it lets me check smart alarm, and pick the duration I want (5 mins) and then the sound I want (breeze) but it still plays the regular alarm melody everytime- even though I can physically see that smart alarm is checked. So it's a nice feature in the dialer that lets you select a specific number - home, office, mobile, etc., to dial every time you pull up the favorites tab within the dialer screen. I by mistake checked "use as default number" for one particular contact, but now I want to deactivate that selection and have no default number for that particular contact.
I know how to switch the default number from one to another; is there a way to deactivate the default number and just have the phone ask me which number to dial, e.g. home, office, mobile, etc.? I've been trying to tinker with everything I can to no avail, and I've also been shut out trying to answer this question online. Only thing I haven't done is call Verizon.
Long time lurker, please no flaming.The Droid has an awesome screen, especially when set at full brightness. However, I typically have it set at the lowest brightness to conserve battery. On my old Windows phone I was able to have the brightness adjust to full when it was plugged in. I've looked for this setting on the Droid and thus far have been unsuccessful in locating this ability.Does anyone know if this setting exists or if there is an app that would do this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedAnnoying that when I go to select a wallpaper, the "Pictures" option pulls up every single image on my SD card (icons for apps, CD art, etc.), when all I want it to do it pull images from my "Wallpaper" folder.
Is there any way to customize what images get pulled? Can folders (like CD art) be hidden from gallery view so that they don't show up in the "Pictures" list?
Is there a setting that reminds you of a missed text if you missed or didn't hear the first alert? I could set my old phone to alert me until I opened it. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

For example, my contact list.I'll be running down the list to let's say the " R's " and when I get near the person I want to contact and slide the list up or down to center their view, it seems like the slightest touch anywhere besides right on their name opens up the wrong one.
