Could someone write a tutorial for setting up free voice calling without using VZ minutes or point me to one that works with the Inc? It's kind of confusing because it's not just one app that gets it all going. Help! I'm out of minutes!

Can someone put one together (for windows) or point me in the right direction? I currently use terminal for almost everything, but most people write their tuts for adb. If you write one, please start simple and at the bottom and work your way up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted 2.2 android incredible phone but my reception at my house is terrible and I would like to make calls over my wifi connection for free.I have saw there are many different ways to doing this but either I am not setting it up right or they dont work any more. Some of these guides are confusing. Can anyone help? I have a google voice number and I tried setting up through sipgate but it keeps saying it fails to register on my phone and I don't know why. Whats the best and easiest way to get free wifi calls?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this has been asked before, sorry if its a repeat questions. I'm trying to help out my co-worker, he had a palm treo and now has a Moto Droid. His palm treo would anounce the person's name that was calling, he liked this for when he didnt have his phone near him, he would know who was calling and knew if to rush and get it or not. I'm not a android user YET, I have a Curve and waiting for the Nexus one to go on vzw to do the switch, so I have no idea if this option he's looking for is available for his Droid.

Lets say activity A starts activity B by calling:
Intent myIntent = new Intent(Activity_A.this, Activity_B.class);
Activity_A.this.startActivity(myIntent);
Could I save/free up some memory by finishing Activity_A after Activity_B is begun (if thats even possible). Maybe through the following:
Intent myIntent = new Intent(Activity_A.this, Activity_B.class);
Activity_A.this.startActivity(myIntent);
Activity_A.finish();
Or would Acitivty_A call startActivity() and wait for Activity_B to finish before it called finish()?
The idea would then be that when the users end with Activity_B, it would just restart Acitivity_A (and finish itself in a similar fashion)? Would this create too much overhead? Thanks for any answers and I apologize if the formatting of this post isn't correct.

View 18 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they can look at what I'm looking at while I see them.

Most caller IDs can do this for landlines.
Been calling home on my incredible for a couple of months now and got a nasty surprise when I got my bill.I decided to download Google Voice to call internationally as I found it's rates to be cheaper than Skype.Bill came in and again to my surprise it seems I'm getting charged by Verizon and GV now.SO what is the cheapest way to call internationally from my android phone.is it Skype, do you know a fix for GV, the international plan from Verizon (f that) or another app.

Over the past week, the display on my DInc has been slowly tinting toward a redish/pink hue. It appears the greys are turning pink. Anybody having this problem with their device? Is there a setting to work out the color balance anywhere?
