Oct 31, 2010I'm no longer rooted but superuser won't go away so can I set the sbf to updage.zip and apply that in recovery to go back to stock and get rid of superuser

Motorola Droid :: Lost Dolphin Multi Touch Since 2.1 Update / Setting To Turn It On?

I've lost Multi Touch Zoom on the Dolphin Browser Since the 2.1 update.
The native browser will not multi touch zoom either (I thought this was supposed to be included in the update).
Any ideas? I can't find a setting to turn it on.

Aug 28, 2010So I've searched high and low and can't figure out a good (idiot proof) tutorial for setting up adb? Can someone put one together (for windows) or point me in the right direction? I currently use terminal for almost everything, but most people write their tuts for adb. If you write one, please start simple and at the bottom and work your way up.

Feb 21, 2010I could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?

Jul 17, 2010Is there a way to do it? I took a picture in portrait that fits the Droid X screen size perfectly and I want to use that as my wallpaper. I have scrollable wallpaper off and don't use the landscape mode for the home screen. I have that turned off as well. So really it makes no sense and its highly annoying.
I made a video to show what I was talking about because its kind of hard to explain...or some people just don't get it. Whatever if you don't understand let me know and I'll post the link up to youtube after its done uploading.

Sep 4, 2010I'm wanting to set up another email account and when I select the new account button on the setup account screen, it takes me to a screen with a "Motorola service agreement" and I have to agree with the terms and conditions before continuing. Is this correct? Do all email accounts go through a Motorola server? The same thing happens with setting up Facebook, MySpace and other services.

His palm treo would anounce the person's name that was calling, he liked this for when he didnt have his phone near him, he would know who was calling and knew if to rush and get it or not. I'm not a android user YET, I have a Curve and waiting for the Nexus one to go on vzw to do the switch, so I have no idea if this option he's looking for is available for his Droid.

Everytime I go select it, it lets me check smart alarm, and pick the duration I want (5 mins) and then the sound I want (breeze) but it still plays the regular alarm melody everytime- even though I can physically see that smart alarm is checked. Nov 12, 2010Lots of my contacts - especially my "favorite" contacts - have multiple phone #'s, which is pretty typical. So it's a nice feature in the dialer that lets you select a specific number - home, office, mobile, etc., to dial every time you pull up the favorites tab within the dialer screen. I by mistake checked "use as default number" for one particular contact, but now I want to deactivate that selection and have no default number for that particular contact.
I know how to switch the default number from one to another; is there a way to deactivate the default number and just have the phone ask me which number to dial, e.g. home, office, mobile, etc.? I've been trying to tinker with everything I can to no avail, and I've also been shut out trying to answer this question online. Only thing I haven't done is call Verizon.
Motorola Droid :: Auto Screen Brightness Setting?
Feb 9, 2010Long time lurker, please no flaming.The Droid has an awesome screen, especially when set at full brightness. However, I typically have it set at the lowest brightness to conserve battery. On my old Windows phone I was able to have the brightness adjust to full when it was plugged in. I've looked for this setting on the Droid and thus far have been unsuccessful in locating this ability.Does anyone know if this setting exists or if there is an app that would do this?

Jan 25, 2010Annoying that when I go to select a wallpaper, the "Pictures" option pulls up every single image on my SD card (icons for apps, CD art, etc.), when all I want it to do it pull images from my "Wallpaper" folder.
Is there any way to customize what images get pulled? Can folders (like CD art) be hidden from gallery view so that they don't show up in the "Pictures" list?

For example, my contact list.I'll be running down the list to let's say the " R's " and when I get near the person I want to contact and slide the list up or down to center their view, it seems like the slightest touch anywhere besides right on their name opens up the wrong one.

For some reason, a bunch of my contacts are showing up as their Twitter names, and I'd rather have it be their real name, which I have listed under their Google accounts (for example, GreenMike vs. Mike Green). I even unlinked my Twitter account, but the names stayed the same. Similarly, is there a way to set it so the contact pictures are Google account pictures by default?
