Anyone know of a good SMS/message widget out there. Ive been using Handcent but I didn't know if there was something better. Ive tried searching and can't find much info on it.

I use handscent for text messaging, like it a lot. I also like(ed) the htc message widget (gives you a stack of your most recent texts on your home screen). The only problem is that i can not figure out a way to have the widget take me into handcent (rather then the htc native messaging app) when i hit either the list or compose butttons at the bottom of the widget. Anyone have any ideas or will the widget just always connect with the htc app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is more of an annoyance, but whenever I reply to a message off the home screen widget, it automatically defaults to the home number for that contact, instead of replying to the same (cell) number that it was sent from. If I go into the messaging app, it works as it should (replies to the same number).

Not only is it the most laggy widget ever, but sometimes it bugs for me so that I can only go two messages down, not able to scroll further downwards to other conversations - only upwards. Anyone else tried this or know why it happens?

Mine is only about 1 inch by 1/2 inch.I can barely even get 1/2 a face in the picture.How do you get a bigger picture?I'm running LauncherPro, is that effecting it?Since I couldn't get a bigger picture, I decided to try and add the slide show widget. But when I try, it says Widget Conflict only one photo slideshow per home screen. I don't have any other slideshow widgets on my screen. Any ideas?

This seems to stop the HTC Internet widget from working. I keep replacing it but it still happens.
I have a Android with Lee Droid Froyo. Also is the standard messaging app along with Handcent SMS app. The first issue is that after I receive messages for a period of time (week or so) messages start coming in as MMS messages instead of SMS from a 5556 number, not the person who sent the SMS. I check the details and it states the incoming message is "SMS Message", however both stock message and handcent app handle and label as a MMS message from user 5556 but the message in the MMS is blank. When the messages arrive they are visible in the locked screen messages widget then disappear after entering the program to view them. I had the "delete old messages" unchecked and had a SMS message limit of 200. I have since checked the "delete old messages" and increased to 300 the SMS message limit but still have the same issue.

If I use the full screen widget on one of my screens, it will display message body for some emails, and not for others.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I set my phone to vibrate, it will only vibrate when I get a phone call, not when I get a text or email. I saw some solutions for the Droid, but not the Droid X. I am not sure if the solutions are the same. Also, when it is on ring, it rings and vibrates, not just rings. Any suggestions? My main concern it getting it to vibrate when I get messages, I am not too concerned about the ring/vibrate thing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know if its a sign I have a lot of stuff on my phone or what but it annoys me when I click the green messaging icon on the phone and it stalls for a second or two before opening or if I had been texting person A and I get another text from person B, when I tap the green icon it will open back up the Texting thread from person A instead! In that case, I have to exit out of all conversations before I can see the new text coming in from Person B!

View 6 Replies View RelatedRingdroid is great is you have the song. But if I download a ringtone - it comes as an MP3 attached to a text message. There is no media icon I can see that I can click/hold in order to have the option to save the MP3.
So, how can a save an MPS that comes in attached to a text message ?
I want to add some custom ringtones. Ringdroid and Ring Extender both do a nice job, but you need to have the song in order to make a ringtone. I have downloaded ringtones that came as MP3 attachments to a text message.But, I cannot figure out how to save those MP3's. There's no media icon I can click and hold. If I try menu while it's playing - it just backs me out of it, and if I try menu before playing it I just get the usual SMS reply options.

and my text message inbox just completely deleted everything on its own i have the text message maximum limit to 999 and i use the stock messaging app and my phone is not rooted its a bit annoying when all the messages get deleted. does this happen to anyone else?
This is my first smart phone. Very pleased with it so far. But Is there a setting Im missing somewhere. When someone calls or texts and ur not around the phone to hear it doesent the phone have a setting where it rings every 1 or 2 minutes. To alert you that you have some sort of message waiting. Other than the little tiny green light that blinks when u have a message. My env touch you could set it to alert you 1,2 5 15 30 minutes after initial message.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust the other day i did a factory reset/themed (revolution)/and added the build.prop last night. well now i am receiving the same text message twice in a row. i restarted the phone and did a back from the other day so that should not have the build prop on it but it is still doing the double text. have any of you had this problem? and is there a way to get rid of the theme othe than another factory reset?

Unlike he BB I have been using I haven't found a "SAVE" option after making changes. Only an OK option. Am I missing something?

View 26 Replies View RelatedI recently started having an issue when I try to save a picture from a picture message on handcent. I cannot see the picture in my gallery only until I reboot the phone. With the regular droid messaging program, the pictures appear right away. I am not sure if this is an issue since I am now running 2.2 on my droid. Anybody else having the same issue.
