Can anyone recommend a widget that shows the number of missed calls / text messages / emails? I would prefer something that is text only.If not, does anyone know a widget that can display text from a file on the SD card? I could probably figure out how to use Tasker to generate the text file if needed.

View 34 Replies View RelatedGot my android yesterday havent really played with it other than installing app killer, and checking to see if i could root(i cant :sadface and noticed on my mothers phone(same droid eris) that her notification light was blinking Green. i Checked the manual from the verizon website and all it mentions is green solid, red solid, and red blinking, nothing about Green blinking. It was not plugged in, it was not being used. I thought it was perhaps saying "hey you have a new message/email/missed call" but she had no notifications. anyone know what Blinking green means?

When getting a text/missed call, The phone lock screen pops up. And it will stay on until I press the power button. Is there a way for it to turn off after a few seconds??

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got a Droid today and am enjoying it so far, but one issue I've been having is I want to be able to know when I have an unread message without having to unlock the phone.My last phone had a setting that allowed me to set a tone or alert that would go off every 2, 5 or 10 minutes while I had an unread or un-listened-to message on my phone, so even if I missed the first alert I would still notice when I had something new.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy phone will freeze for 10-15 seconds, then I'll get MAYBE 1 second of phone call, then it'll go to missed call. What's happening here? A similar issue that's also been happening is that I may get the call to ring normally, but then I can't push Answer on the screen so I can't pick up the call. I've updated to Froyo through the OTA update. This wasn't happening after the upgrade, just recently. I've disabled ATK to rule that out, and it's still happening after a reboot.

But, when on the home screen, if i click the "+" sign and "add widget" it's listed there.Is there a reason I can't see it unless I want to add it to my home page or is this a problem with my phone? Also, is there a place to see a complete list of my WIDGETS being that they're not listed in the "all programs" list?Lastly, I see alot of people post a white box picture with black stuff in it, as if to scan it somehow. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, this is a minor but VERY annoying problem on my Eris. I have a notification that is ALWAYS SHOWING!! It is a little black and white envelope. It is labeled "New Message(s)". It has the subtext, "You have an unread message".If I slide my Notifications down, and click the notification, it brings me to the HTC Message list. All of my messages are marked as read, so I dont know why the icon is still there.If I get a text, a totally separate icon, which is also a black and white envelope, but has a green circle with a number inside it showing how many unread messages I have. If I bring the Notifications down, and click the problematic Notification, "the first one I mentioned", the second said icon will go away, and the original will NOT go away. I can click "Clear Notifications" and it will go away till I get a new message, and then the problem is back.

I've battery pulled, deleted all threads and it is still there. I am using stock messaging app.

That aside however, the dedicated Google Gmail app is much better (it looks nicer imho and also has the "Archive" button - in the imap client I have to "Move to..."/"[Gmail]/All mail"). And the question: is there an way to have an unread email counter while using the Google gmail app? I would like something that will update as soon as the email is synced to my device, and decrement as soon as I archive an email in the google app.

My question is, when I get a message pop up it will only show the first unread message no matter how many subsequent messages were received after the first one. I seem to be missing text messages unless I look at my conversation list and see that I have unread messages. Is there anyway to make all the messages popup like the Iphone does?

Is there an app that will send a text to the caller if you miss their call? For example, I am expecting a call from my wife but am in the shower when she calls. I need something to send her(only her) a text if I miss her call. Other calls missed can go to voicemail.
