Oct 1, 2010I downloaded Team Black Hat and downloaded the 2.3.15 deodexed and installed using rom manager i unmounted and it loaded but i am still .odex what did i do wrong?

Oct 3, 2010The Team Black Hat now has an NFL wallpaper application. If you have TBH, you can just download the NFL wallpaper app, then install with a program like Astro File Manager. It has cool wallpapers for all of the teams. Here are some pics of my Vikings wallpapers (with a purple theme to match). My apologies if this has been posted about! I just thought it was pretty cool.

In case anyone is just lazy and hasn't done it yet or your a newb and don't really know what to do or wanna learn (slacker), here is the bloat free version of 2.2 de-odexed (you need to be running 2.2 to use it. I been working on/with it for a few hours now and it seems pretty stable. If nothing else, you'll have a good back up (we know you forgot to make one). Good starting point to, for trying new things.
I know you advanced guys are prolly way ahead of this, but I struggled to get to this point so if I can help someone out, well, why not also, if anyone wants to tweak it some more, we'll make it a project. The lock screen needs some help, its a lot faster but still a lil janky (not so bad after the first one though). Quadrant score on my X (non overclock) was 1477 with false stagefright; 2017 with true stage fright

Motorola Droid X :: Download Unsuccessful In Browser - 2.2 - Just Rooted/deodexed
Sep 12, 2010Just rooted and deodexed a friends droid x on 2.2. Everything works fine, but we can't download ANY files in the browser. It instantly says "download unsuccessful". No matter what it is or where its from. We've tried doing"fix permissions"in don manager, soft reboot, no results. Does anyone have ANY idea what's causing this?and this was not an issue before rooting...

Aug 25, 2010this WILL wipe your phone. Make a backup prior to doing this and of course im not responsible, blah blah blah Don't be an idiot either, you must be on Froyo 2.2 to restore an image of 2.2. So, to the question (Can I use this to update my 2.1 and have root). I've noticed that most people that CAN'T run it (MD5 error) are people that did a factory reset. What i would suggest to anyone else reading this, is if you know you have factory reset on 2.2, this probably will not work (by all means try). BUT if you WANT to run it that bad, do a data wipe, and THEN sbf. Root 2.1, update to 2.2, install koush's bootstrapper and try again. that will probably work. Credits to krayzee1 on alldroid for posting this. Mike919 we now have a clockwork recovery backup that you can recover to your phone. What does this give me? well it gives you a way to restore your phone to its default state but it has already been rooted and deodexed.If you dont know what root or deodexed are then please search around the forums.

Aug 8, 2010After having upgraded to Smoked Glass, I had it on my phone for no longer than 30 minutes when I was hit with a new OTA notification.
I have already downloaded the file, and it is FRG01B again. The difference, though, is that, instead of patching a ton of files on the fly during the install, which is how the old one worked, this one simply formats System and then copies the entire contents of system from the .ZIP to your phone.
Be that as it may, it looks like I *somehow* got a notification for a full ROM update from VZW.
Again, like I said, it is FRG01B - but the good news is that this is a full ROM, and for those having issues with the previous one, which makes sure you have ESE81 (2.1) installed on your phone, this one does *not*.
Theoretically, I should be able to install this over any previous version of Android - which I am about to test right now.

Instead there are suggestions that you should add Views on top/below the View you want borders on and a bunch of others really messy ways to get borders.oming from the .NET-environment that is pretty brutal to have to do ugly workaround and "hacks" to get something as simple as borders.Thus, I want to suggest that feature to the Android team. Im not sure how they can have missed it, but it is surely missed, So, is there any official way to suggest a feature in the SDK/framework? I have looked around a bit, but cant comment on their blogs, no e-mail addresses as far as I can see.

But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? Or should I just ROM to Smoked Glass ROM? I want to give this one a chance before I move to something else

She got the deal from Wireless Amazon Beta, where she only paid 39.99.I wasn't able to, wasn't eligible for upgrade and got mine at the store.Anyhow, her phone a couple days in would freeze, the screen would go black, and then it reboots.Now it happens a couple times a day at least.Obviously seems like it's defective, but I'm wondering if anybody else is dealing with the same problem?If so, have you taken into Verizon. what have they told you or done for you?Wondering if she should send this back to Amazon Wireless, or head into a Verizon.And I'm wondering what kind of return/exchange/refurbishing headache were in for.
