So the bottom of my x's screen flickers and flashes colors and covered like white noise but in colors. I think i got a bad lcd. I hope they have and extra x later in the day. At first i thought it was the blur launcher but it does it with launcher pro and every other program.

I recently purchased the Droid 2 today & noticed when I turn on the Wi Fi in settings. It was turning itself on & off, on & off rapidly for about a minute. Eventually it was stable. This was unusual. So I went back to the Verizon store. Got a replacement. While in the store. The rep turned on Wi Fi too see if it was an isolated incident. Same thing started happenning with the new replacement. Wi Fi going bananas. On, then off repeatly for about a minute. He placed a trouble ticket & gave me the new replacement. He also said this is an KNOWN ISSUE.

But little droidy is sick ): The screen is constantly banding and flickering, sometimes at different strengths. At points it's hard to look at the screen and hurts your eyes. I heard this happened with the Droid X's as well. Sadly, the day after I got my Droid 2, my 30-days (I got it at best buy) to exchange the phone ran up :<
Is there anything I can do so they can exchange this? They sold me a defective product for $200! D: I think they should listen and give me a working model.
My girlfriend's D2 is having trouble with the soft keys flickering or not lighting up. Then if you turn the phone off you can press the screen and they flicker.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow to get rid of the bar at the bottom of the screen while using a transparent Nav Bar. I have been messing around with the SystemUI.apk, but I feel like it's more likely the GoogleHome launcher (which seems to just put some tweaks onto the stock launcher) or even the Launcher2.apk that is formatting the wallpaper like this. I am just staring to mess with coding, so I'm not sure where the formatting is happening.
I REALLY want to use the Google Home launcher and not just switch to a third party launcher like Nova. Nova launcher does get the wallpaper full screen with transparent nav bar, but it does not have the features that the Google Home launcher has.
in some apps (such as VLC, Flash player, the stock video player, etc), there appears to be a small black bar at the bottom where the status bar usually is (even if it's hidden, there's still a black bar). I've had a research and saw a solution app called 'full!screen', however I have no way of rooting the device (It's an Android TV box with no USB output, only input). My current solution is to use MX Player, but it doesn't play 1080p videos properly, so I'd really prefer VLC at this point.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have one Map on my main activity and It works fine. Recently I added another small map view on one of my sub activities using the same google map key. Now when I press back after looking at the map on sub activity, it returns to the main view and bottom of the map on main activity turns black. See the attached image. Is there anyone who has faced this problem and know why sometimes bottom of map turns balck?

Without the thing turning into a trash can, almost every time I tried to place one there, it would vanish. I literally had to have it 2 pixels under the above row or it wouldn't take. View 2 Replies View RelatedSo despite my gut feeling I took off the film behind the screen as the other thread indicated.Now my phone slides smoother but when it is closed and using it in portrait view, the bottom and top left of the phone makes a tapping noise everytime I press there. It's really annoying specially when I'm typing something or going back and I keep hearing tap tap silent silent silent tap tap tap.As I took a closer look, it seems like the legs on the left side on the back of the screen don't quite reach the keyboard base, therefore creating a gap and tapping the keyboard base whenever i press there.Has this happened to yours too? If so, do you have the film in the back or have you taken it off?

Everything else seems to be working okay. Tried powering off/up, also tried battery pull, still the same.
I'm close to opting for "restore factory settings", but I've spent some time customizing, and that's really a last resort.
I assume that I am not the only Droid's owner who has this weird experience with the device: sometimes when I touch on a list (e.g., Apps listed on Market) or a web-page. The list or page will rapidly scroll all the way to the bottom of the list or page. Although I experience this at least a couple times every day, I am unable to reproduce this phenomenon at will.Does anyone know what cause this? Is it a bug?

It's most noticeable when typing on keyboard and trying to hit spacebar; unless I hit the spacebar right on the middle or top, it doesn't register.i.e. hitting it toward the bottom 1/3 of the spacebar. It seems noticeable when hitting the phone, app drawer, or contact icons as well. Anyone else notice this? Found this on the Motorola forums about other having similar issue.

But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? Or should I just ROM to Smoked Glass ROM? I want to give this one a chance before I move to something else

I want to go w/ a basic clean looking theme or maybe a rom. But do i have to change the rom can I run stock? View 2 Replies View RelatedA backlight used to turn on for the bottom hard press keys on my dx but ever since I downloaded and installed the live wallpaper panoplied, they don't turn on anymore. I don't know how or even why a live wallpaper would turn off backlight settings for the keys but its becoming a major inconvenience. I checked the settings but couldn't find where to tweak backlight settings. I also rebooted the phone and did a soft reset but that didn't work. Can anyone out there help a brother out?
