Not sure what I did, but on powering up, I had trouble getting it to turn on. Maybe I double pressed the powere button after the power on had started, but as soon as the droid eyeball screen came up, all images on the screen were in negative. This continued through the home screen loading until I turned the phone off and restarted, getting normal colors.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid on Friday, the day it came out. Was working fine. Today, about an hour ago, my droid reset itself. Then started back up. when I got to my home screen, it reset itself. When I got to the home screen again, very shortly (less than 10 seconds) it reset itself again! And repeated this over and over. It never stopped! I can not even use my Droid!
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wifes Incredible started shifting the home screen to the right without any touching. When its centered the screen begins swiping to the right as if a finger was there. In "all programs" it starts highlighting apps as if I was touching them but I am not. I have tried G-sensor calibration, keyboard calibration, restarts and the closing of apps but cant find where the trouble lies. Is it possible the touchscreen is now defective?

I have the Hero and when people brought up negative things about the phone i agreed with some and disagreed with others. There is no perfect phone out there and when people are shopping for new phones it is good to hear the good and bad then they can make their decision on which one to buy. I would like to see some "real" likes and dislikes on this phone to make an educated decision. Then i can decide if i should pull the trigger on the powerfull EVO wait to possibly get a 2Ghz phone released sometime this year by motorola?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI had Swype, all was good. Then it started freezing my screen, or misguiding the touch to the point that removing the battery was the only option. It was not a phone issue, because I factory reset and it works now. I had to because disabling Swype did not solve the problem. Is there any beta or anything out there?I CAN'T GO BACK TO TOUCH INPUT!

My gmail password is right and it still won't sign me in.it take a whole minute to call anyone on my phone list, I miss calls, when I go to answer my phone after two rings it ends call. And last but not least, my assigned ring tones don't play for my contacts, it only plays the default. I have tried everything. I'm wondering if i should take it to Verizon and get a new one.

The kicker is that i havent even been using it as much! I picked up the phone today, open the web browser to google homepage, and the phone crashes. Yesterday it was nearly the same thing. I am not running any apps in the background other than what is already from the OS.

After hearing about the crap Motorola pulled with the bootloader, I decided to wait on the ota update to Froyo until someone either figures a workaround, or they don't...to which I will update via the latest leak.
PROBLEM: After twice saying NOT to download this ota, I look down at my status bar and it shows something downloading at 10%...It's the syatem update!!!! I immediately pulled the battery, only to have the download continue upon restarting the phone. I am currently in Airplane mode waiting to hear if there is a way to KILL, CANCEL or STOP this download from installing!
First of all I love the phone, but recently the screen started blinking so bad it became unusable. I restarted but the problem keeps coming back. Anyone else having this same problem?

I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI was using the camera this morning and after a few seconds the screen started flickering, it then turned a shade of purple and the view split so the bottom of the picture appeared at the top. I rebooted the phone and it was fine for about 30 seconds and then did the same. Second reboot and it appears to be ok. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? All software is as standard the phone has not been rooted (yet).

View 4 Replies View RelatedA few days ago the GPS notification icon started popping up at the top of my screen at random without me even running an app that requires GPS. I have tried to kill any app that potentially uses GPS with taskiller, disabling GPS all-together, and rebooting my phone to get it to go away. The only temporary solution I have found is to enter and then exit google maps. That works for a little while but then, bam, out of nowhere the little satellite icon appears again. I don't mind if it is just a little glitch and my GPS isn't actually being accessed, but if it is, that is a serious hit to my battery life. I haven't noticed a dramatic change in battery life since it started happening but I do seem to get less time out of the phone. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is it a big deal and how do you fix it?

I dropped my Note 2 yesterday and the screen started slowly turning blue. This morning, the screen completely got filled with blue/white/messed up color, and then went completely black. Touchscreen still worked though because I was able to maneuver around the phone right after it was dropped. Screen was not cracked. does the screen has to be replaced as well or i can replace it with smaller parts?

I'm beginning to think it's not the screen and actually the phone itself (since WaveSecure doesn't seem to be able to remotely lock / alarm the phone), in which case this post is moot. In either case, there is no way to unroot the phone without being able to mount the phone, correct? Since I can't see anything on the screen I obviously can't mount it. I'd rather not try to have them replace a rooted phone though. If the phone is fried, will they be able to detect that it was rooted?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI am just looking for opinions, which phone do you think has the better screen (display), the nexus one or the Droid? I guess 2 things to consider are
1. The Droid is 480 x 854 while the nexus one is only 480 x 800 and
2. The nexus one has an AMOLED display.
Now I am not the most tech savvy person so I am not 100% sure what these mean lol all I know is that from what ive heard, #1 goes to the Droid and #2 goes to the nexus. So idk, is it really just a matter of opinion? I own a nexus one and it has a great screen but from what I've seen from the Droid, the droids screen looked a tad better. However that could be due to my limited experience and if I had the Droid for a while, my opinion might change.
My friend has a droid 1 and when passing your finger over the screen the phone does not react to anything . does this mean the sensor went bad ? is there a fix for this ? he went to verizon and they wouldnt do anything for him. any ideas ?

The only aspect that I do not love about this phone is the phone screen. I'm not a big fan of the whole interface/appearance of the phone screen with dialpad. Anybody else think this?
And is there an app or skin or something that can change the appearance of this? The Incredible really has the best looking and functioning phone screen/setup.
Just loaded up CyanogenMod6 RC3 last night and since then my phone has frozen twice. I'm on the 2.xx radio not the 2.15. Should I up the radio? Or is the freezing a known issue with CM6?

I noticed this before loading the ROM, but thought it had stopped since, anyone have the same problems and is there anything that I can do? Would loading the new official ROM make it any better than the Madaco ROM?
