View 5 RepliesWhen my Droid2 auto locks (after 10 minutes) I can receive but not place any calls with my bluetooth. Not handy while driving ... have to press the un-sleep button, then swipe the screen lock, then draw the pattern lock, then I can give a voice command.

I notice the following behavior: if the screen is on the notifications are shown ok (even if the app is in background). if the screen is off (by power button or by itself) the notifications won't show. if the screen is off but I have the debugging running the notifications appear. How can I make the service run with the screen off. (The actual app only checks if a notification should be checked every 30 seconds, but for testing purposes, the above scenario is ok)

I saw a thread where someone belived it happened at the Verizon Store when they synced the phone for the end user. Just like they did for me with no explanations.Could this be why contacts created on my phone seem to be invisible to all kinds of syncing?

I've tried turning off and taking the battery out. But still remains unresponsive to touch.
I did a quick search and found a couple headsets mentioned but i was wondering if anyone could tell me the best ones for working out. I want Bluetooth cause i hate wires hanging in the way all the time.
correct me if i am wrong but you can use the skip song feature if the headphones have it right? I know the iphone doesn't allow you to use the skip track because it doesn't support it.
Is the framerate locked on the droid even after root? Can it go higher than 30 fps? May be a dumb question im just curious if anybody knows.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen the phone is locked, but the screen is on, if you hold down the search button for a couple of seconds and then say something, the voice search will run. when you unlock the phone, you will see the results. when the screen is off however, it doesn't work. it only happens with the screen on and the phone locked. i thought that none of the buttons should work when the phone is locked?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was curious why at home when I'm connect all the time with wireless that the wireless status would not display immediately when I unlock my phone.
So today I left my wireless settings page up. Then let the phone lock and sit idle. When I opened it sure enough the wireless had diconnected and as soon as it was unlocked began obtaining an IP from my network.
THIS IS NOT THE BEHAVIOR I'M LOOKING FOR!!
I like to have various apps running while at home and I want them to go through my home wireless not 3G.
This seems like something Verizon would probably prefer as well.
Is there some setting I'm missing?
It's not immediate when the phone locks it's after some amount of time .
Anyone else notices this?
I've noticed a lot of bugs but I can work around them, but this one now tops my list. What can I do to try to resolve this problem?
since installing petes bugless beast, the only problem im having is that the phone will ring, but the screen stays blank, or locked. anyone else having this issue? i cant tell who is calling.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've seen discussions on how to use your android phone as several different things, ranging from a wireless hot spot to a keyboard/mouse. There are instructions all over on how to tether your phone to use it as a wireless modem, but I've never seen mention on whether or not it was possible to use an android phone as a USB blue tooth adapter. My Android phone is blue tooth enabled, but neither of my laptops are. Is there any way to use the phone as a blue tooth adapter when connected to the laptop via the USB cable (giving the laptop blue tooth capabilities)? I know I can always just buy an adapter from the store, but I wanted to see if this was a possibility first.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo when I get an incoming call, my droid-X rings instead of my car stereo. I have the car stereo set to ring, but it does not. So I constantly miss calls in my car to the point where I may as well not even have a bluetooth stereo. In California, we can't talk on the phone and drive so it's killing me that this does not work after investing money into the system.
Never had a problem on my blackberry. Basically if I have the stereo on, I'm not going to hear my phone ringing, I guess I could set it to auto answer (not sure if that works yet either) but I like to see the number from who is calling first on my CD Player's face.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that could make an Android phone act as as a bluetooth receiver. The phone being a deactivated Droid ERIS I have laying around that I'm not using. What I want to be able to do is connect my laptop to the ERIS with bluetooth (laptop has bluetooth connectivity) and have my laptops audio go to the ERIS (ERIS would be plugged into a set of speakers through it's 3.5mm headphone jack). In essence, the opposite of what people usually use a phones bluetooth connectivity for. Anyone know of an app that can do this?

When I turn the car on, I want to transfer from the phone to the bluetooth in the car/nav. unit.If I'm in my car, I can call/receive phone calls fine, but I can't figure out how to transfer a call to my car bluetooth, when I get in and I'm ready to drive off. Instead, I have to tell the person, I'll call them right back, as I have to make the call from the bluetooth setup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the reception to all my blue tooth headsets with this phone. I can get phone to connect to a plantronics bluetooth headset (I have a couple of other headsets but pairing with them is iffier on the x) and it will start playting music or a phone call - but if I move the phone to my pocket or just in my hand but drop it below my waist, the sound stops. It is not the headset because it works fine on my evo with the phone in my pocket.

View 27 Replies View RelatedI have a cheap old bluetooth headset that worked great with my Q9c. Now I want to use it with the DX for podcast. It paired and connected just fine. And I can make phone call with it. However, it won't play any media audio (Google Listen, Pandora, etc.).
In bluetooth setting the device is connected to phone audio. Does it need to be connected to something like "media audio"? Is it just the limitation of my BT headset or I can work around it by tweaking a setting on the phone?
Does anyone know where I can get the bluetooth peripheral device driver for the X?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.1 OTA update, my Droid Eris has been a little slower and little buggy. Which I'm not that concerned about. But today, I cannot drag down to unlock my screen. When I hit menu, it does nothing. Is there another way to shut down the phone when you cannot unlock the screen?
'Sorry if this is an utter newb question, but I think if I can power down an restart the phone, I may be able to unlock my screen.
I just go the Droid and it sync's great with my car's blue tooth (2009 BMW) but I cannot seem to get the phone book transferred. It says transferring but nothing ever happens, just seems to show the revolving circle on my BT showing it is working but that is all. Battery seems to drain pretty fast in the car now too like this. Is there something I am doing wrong here causing the phone book to not transfer?
