I am using Launcher Pro, and today installed custom icons for my dock (the Minimalist Design ones from the "What do your screens look like" or whatever thread). I have the option selected in LP to show me how many new texts I have, but since I put on these new custom icons, the red bubble isn't coming up in my dock. How do I fix this?

Just noticed this within the last week or so. My unread count in the little green bubble for my email inboxes are off. It will have one number before I open my inbox and then another unread count within the app (before downloading any new emails). It then updates itself when I exit the messages app. Do you think it might have something to do with too many widgets on my homescreen? I don't have anything major...1x1 more icons, 1x4 smooth calendar, vibrate toggle, htc clock. Anyone else have this issue?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to change the color or get rid of the bubble look of the stock messaging app? don't want to use Handcent or Chomp, so what are my options? (If any). Also noticed on some but not all of the text messages I get, the CB# appears on each one. Now I saw the setting in messaging that you can disable that, but I think that is for my text messaging going out to the other person correct? Is there any way to stop this from appearing in each text I receive? The weird thing is, it does not happen for all users in my contact list, just a few.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Droid is my first smartphone. Before it I was texting with the dialpad, and the phone would count down how many letters I have left (out of 160, the text msg length). Using the "messaging" icon on the Droid it never says when I'm approaching the text message limit. So is this "messaging" icon really like an instant messenger? It's not GTalk, that's another icon. If I send a 250 character txt message through the "messaging" app, does it get broken into 2 messages for the receiver?

-all missed calls
-voicemails
-facebook msgs
-texts
-email

Since the Droid 2 Global is coming out soon. I think a Droid X Global (w/ the 1.2GHz CPU) will be the real killer here. Anyone thinks so, too? BTW, I have a Droid X and my daughter have the D2 (R2D2). I like the DX compared to the D2 and my upgrade plan is to get a global Droid phone. Hopefully, a Droid X Global is in the works.

Now, all of a sudden when I get a new email, it will say who the email is from, but when I open it, the body of the email is not from that person. It may be from someone elses email that morning or someone elses 1 week ago. But if I pull up my email on my laptop, everything is normal.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just flashed UD v8 last night and got into the LED hack and adjusted my settings so that when I dock it all LEDs turn off. Cool and the gang. Except now when I get an email or text message I don't get the blue or green flashing LED in the top right like normal. I actually love this cuz I can tell if I have an email/sms without powering up out of sleep mode. Granted, that isn't that big a deal, but I like my damn LED.
Anyone experiencing this or have any ideas on a fix?
My phone freezes up at least 6 times a day after the update. I have to do a battery pull to get it going again. I did a factory reset and formatted the sd card same thing happens. I called Verizon and they said they are having lots of calls from people with the same issue and a new software update will be coming out to fix it. She said that if they sent me a new phone it would have the same issue. Has any one else been told this?

Does anyone have factual information on the release of Adobe Flash, for if they truly are waiting for an upgrade, then we can be waiting for a long time.

It's like that part is not properly secured to the backplate.Could someone else attempt this for me. I want to know if it's how it was constructed, or if it's just my unit.Just run your fingernail with LIGHT pressure across the speaker cover. See if it pushes in in the middle.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've noticed for a couple weeks now that a few "flakes" of the chrome paint on my power button have come off, I thought at first this was due to maybe an impact since I carry mine in a holster at 90 degrees - also I ride a bike so maybe something like sand or debris did this. But further looking at it theres no mark under the missing chrome, so I ruled that out. Looking closer the rockers for the volume control have a couple specs missing.
I obviously use the power button more than the volume, and now since I've notice this I switch back and forth from the home button/P button to wake the phone in a attempt to prevent more wear and tear. Its honestly not that big a deal, I can tell the camera button is poorly painted too but due to the fact I use the on-screen shutter I rarely ever touch that one. I've contemplated just removing the chrome all together, a touch of acetone applied with a q tip would do the trick. Black wouldn't be bad, I just would rather have all the colors be consistent instead of the "chipped away" look.

I trying to help a friend with her email on her droid she currently has a (smtp) email set up on her phone. The problem is all old emails are continuously coming back to the device! she has deleted them both from the phone also from a regular pc and they come back still....I looked into the app called (k9) however it doesn't look like it supports smtp only Imap and pop3.

What is happening is I keep getting the emails over and over no matter how many times I delete them. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. It works but I delete the emails and they come again and again. I had to delete the account to stop the endless loop.
