Motorola Droid : Way To Led Color Change For Different Type Messages?
Jan 17, 2010
Is there a way to have the led on the phone show different colors for different types of messages? This was a feature on my old BlackBerry, via an app called Berry Buzz. Didn't know if there was an app like this or a setting to change this?

I have found this forum very helpful, but can't find my issue anywhere. I just recently switched to the Droid X from an Omnia i910 (verizon) and love it! I used SMS Exporter (WM) and SMSBackup (android) to copy all of my SMS over. It worked perfectly; however, when i view a conversation my text box displays "A valid address is required to send this message". I am unable to type anything to text. If I open a new message and send it to the same contact, it updates in the conversation. When I open the conversation the error is still there.
I used the method from: here to do the SMS transfer.
I have also verified that all my contact names match up, and this issue effects all of my messages.

I saw someone elses Droid Notification LED flash blue today and i thought that was pretty cool, soooo I was wondering how I could do that without having to use a 3rd party texting app(handcent, chomp, etc.) I'm just fine with the stock and was hoping some root or normal app was available to change colors.

Is there a way to change the color of the battery icon? I know you can change the fonts, status bar, clock color, etc. It would be pretty cool to have a variety of colors to change to instead of the blue, green, etc.

Is there a way to change the color scheme in the phone app, which also looks like the system default color scheme of white text on black background?Walking outside in bright sunlight looking at white text on black background is nearly impossible to see. Black text on white would be much better.

I noticed if I unlock my Droid and tap an icon, the background will change color, like the app was selected but it won't launch unless I tap it again. This only happens after I unlock the Droid.
Cannot figure out if I am doing something wrong.

Is there any way to change the color or get rid of the bubble look of the stock messaging app? don't want to use Handcent or Chomp, so what are my options? (If any). Also noticed on some but not all of the text messages I get, the CB# appears on each one. Now I saw the setting in messaging that you can disable that, but I think that is for my text messaging going out to the other person correct? Is there any way to stop this from appearing in each text I receive? The weird thing is, it does not happen for all users in my contact list, just a few.

How do you animate the change of background color of a view in Android?
For example:
I have a view with a red background color. The background color of the view changes to blue. How can I do a smooth transition between colors?
If this can't be done with views, an alternative will be welcome.

I've a border set around a drawable using LinearLayout (bg: rounded rectangle).
The drawable and the border is used as a tab view. I'd like to change the border color of the tab when it is selected.
How can I do this?
Color state list doesn't seem to work as the view being selected is not the shape (i.e border) but the tab. Drawable state list doesn't seem to work either as I'm trying to swivel between views, not drawables. Moreover, I can't find any "onSelectedListener" of the sort...
