Verizon sent me a replacement phone. Not only did the replacement phone arrive with the same 3g drop issues, the replacement phone has such a bad buzzing in the ear piece that it's hard to hear someone speaking!

View 11 Replies View RelatedHas it been determined if the issues with WiFi or 3G signal dropping a hardware issue on the device or a software issue? I have 3 days left to exchange it for a brand new one and it would defeat the purpose if it ends up being on the software side. I really love the heck out of my DX (52hr battery life with light usage!). But I'm getting sick and tired of either signal dropping randomly and not being able to connect on the Internet. I have to turn WiFi off/on, or with 3G, wait 'till it finally decides to reconnect itself again or close window and try again. When I do get a locked signal, it is fast, but within 10-15 minutes it drops. With WiFi I have tried many configuration with my router and everything is a No Go, same results.

If anyone is interested, I will provide more info on how to install the patch and where to d/l it from.My desire is rooted but S-ON and odexed. It only works on rooted phones.I love this feature that only comes on DHD & DZ as part of the new sense 2.0 ui as standard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my Droid connected to my computer via the USB that came in the box. The phone recognizes the cable, chimes, and has the USB icon on the screen. But the computer doesn't recognize the phone at all. It could be a problem with my computer, but I'm checking here in case I just can't find the option on the phone to "allow USB connection" or something.

Now with Froyo sporting its own Bluetooth voice dialer, does anyone know if there's a way to switch to it? I am running 2.2. My biggest issue with the Motorola bluetooth voice dialer is that'll take up to 30 seconds from the time I press the dial button on my bluetooth device till it'll be ready for me to say a command. Totally unacceptable! Is my only option to go to a custom ROM?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a table-top style game board consisting of 10x10 squares. Each square is a PNG image. On top of these squares I want to place tiles which can be drag and dropped on top of the squares.
What would be my best approach concerning Views?
Is it possible to have two layers where layer one is a grid of ImageView's which represents the board. Would it then be possible to let the tile be an ImageView also which could be "stacked" on top of the ImageView's which represents the board?
I am working on a MapView app in Android. I have three markers that I want to be able to use the Google Map API getlocation-function on, later on. In order to try it out I would like to move the marker with a drag and drop-function, and then check the location.
Anyone who has gotten a drag and drop to work on an android marker, or know a way to start figuring it out?
Swype on the Droid X with 2.1 originally had a black keyboard with bigger keys to swype or type on. With Froyo, it's now showing as a white keyboard with smaller keys that looks look the Swype keyboard I had originally had on my Droid 1. Is this the "new" keyboard look for Swype on the Droid X or is there a way to bring back the old look before upgrading to Froyo on the Droid X? The version that is showing on the DX now is 1.64.40.9380.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk so I've searched the forums high and low. But I haven't been able to get a clear answer or solution. But anyway I did the Froyo update on Oct 7th. Im really lovein the flash capability. But since then none of my widgets are updating. Face book, social network, Recent messages and news. When I try to update a status on my social network one it jus says, "can't send update. Message failure. " And I have the orange triangle with exclamation point on most of my messaging icons. So I just need to know if this is either a soft where fix I need to wait for. Or is their something I can do to fix this myself.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using Bugless Beast v0.4 for a week or two now. It is what I installed when I first rooted my Droid. I love it, really, but I've had a few little things I've wondered about. 1. The memory manager seems a bit excessive, it keeps killing Meebo, even when it's in the foreground. 2. No Wifi Hotspot in the Settings. 3. Could it be faster if it were from Source? So, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a ROM that was 2.2, stable, and fast. I don't care about whether it's from source, really, unless that makes it faster. I do like some of the tweaks I've read about in some of the from-source mods, but I am concerned about stability, such as working Wifi, or too-overclocked kernels. I would love to hear recommendations to make my Droid as fast and stable as possible,
