View 12 Replies View RelatedI've got a little problem with my HTC Hero. I got it yesterday and plugged it in to PC at home and charging was fine. At work today when I took my phone out of a pocket I noticed that red light is flashing. I've connected it to my Mac at work and it doesn't seem to charge it what so ever. It has been connected to Mac's USB for about 30 minutes and red light is still flashing. Tried to turn it on but ON/OFF button doesn't work. How long it needs to be plugged in to start again? Is it a Mac issue?

View 18 Replies View RelatedWith the Samsung Vibrant there is the USB cable and the charger that you plug the USB cable into (to charge it from the wall). I was wondering if charging the battery from a PC was any different the plugging the USB cable into the wall charger? I would like to just keep the USB cable plugged into my PC and charge it that way but I want to know if it will get the same charge as it would with the wall outlet.

I was looking at changing Roms and did not have my cable with me. So a quick search of "ftp" brought up swiftp which turns your phone into a Ftp site. Wifi or 3g. I can now just pull up my sd card and everything on it from my pc without plugging anything in. I was able to push a 78mb file straight to my phone from my pc. View everything on my card. I know this might be old news to everyone else but new to me so i thought i would share the info.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs of this afternoon my phone is no longer recognizing when i plug it in to my pc via the usb cable. The pc itself will recognize that a device has been connected and begins the add new device wizard. The phone however will fail to prompt the mounting options in the notification bar. Im not really sure what could have caused this since i havent made any changes to my phone since manually installing 2.2 last week and grabbing a few new apps. BUT, I did drop my phone earlier today onto my garage floor. Any chance these mounting troubles may be a result of the fall?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I charge the Droid via the USB cable it seems to me that the plug that goes into the Droid appears to not want to come out. Like it should be a button or something that would release the plug from the Droid itself.
So my question is, is there a button or something that I am suppose to be pressing to release the plug from the droid or is just that hard to remove?
All I'm looking for is a duplicate of the wall charger/usb cable that came with the Droid. That and the ability to buy it online.
The Verizon website doesn't seem to carry it - has anyone had any luck anywhere else? A retailer they can recommend? I've mucked about on NewEgg and Amazon but have not found it.
Anyone know where i can get a data cable compatible with the droid that is 8-10 feet long?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas any1 else had any problems using an auxiliary audio cable to connect their droid to their radio in their car? I have been trying it out the last few days and have noticed "crackling" in the left speakers. If i fiddle with the Aux cable that plugs into the phone it clears up. But as soon as I let go its back. Has any1 else had this problem? Is the only fix to return the phone? I have a 39/09 btw.

View 5 Replies View RelatedCharges fine with wall charger. Just plugged it into computer and 'no charging'. It did go thru 'usb connect', did NOT load driver, and is 'not charging'?USB symbol at top of screen(Launcher Pro), screen stays on but no moving charger symbol.Am I actually charging?Does the battery icon just not move with USB connect with Launcher Pro?Will find out one way or the other EDIT: OK. I changed the 'USB connection' setting from "PC Mode" to "Charge Only" and the battery symbol now shows charging. That is weird.
View 9 Replies View RelatedCan't the Droid X be used while charging? View 14 Replies View RelatedI've got a Motorola Droid, and a cd player in my car that has a USB drive (which I usually use to plug in my thumbdrive to play MP3 music right off the thumb drive). Does anyone know if I can safely charge my Droid via the USB port in my car's stereo? It's an aftermarket stereo, Pioneer I belive it is. Will this harm either my phone or the stereo? Will it work? Or will it simply do nothing at all?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid, the original.I got this phone back in May or June, my battery life has always been normal, i.e. 12+ hours on normal use throughout the day.I have a non-OEM charger, I have since I got the phone, and it has never affected the phone or the battery life. Recently in the past few weeks I've noticed that my phone's battery has been draining much more frequently, i'm now getting 8+ hours on normal use. Also I have noticed when I plug my phone in to the charger it says it's charging, but when I wake up it's only at 50-60% and I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to go to full 100%. I've been trying to research why it is doing this, but i'm coming up with no answers.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently my car charger has stopped working. When you plug it in the phone says charging, and the red light on the adapter goes on when plugged in, but the battery percentage only decreases over time and the little light on the left that normally goes on does not. Has this happened to anyone before? I switched out the USB cable but it's still not charging. The next obvious idea is to buy a new charger but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I did. Also, if need be, anyone know of cheap places online to buy one?

I had the original droid and now a droid X. Normally when charging either of them it takes like 2+ hours to fully charge from a low charge. Tonight I was at a friends house and I took out this new cord I bought at walmart that came with a universal usb car charger. My droid was on 20% and within 20-30 minutes it charged to full! I'm almost positive the computer was charging it via usb 2.0. Now I have usb 2.0 on my home computers but it always takes 2-3 hours to charge. I went home and went from a 70% charge to 100% in minutes via this "new" cord and not using the cord that came with the droid. Is it possible the cord with the droid only will charge at a certain rate and this new cord is charging much much faster or enabling usb 2.0 instead of 1.0 or 1.1? It would be great to not have to charge my droid all night long all the time. Also is there a way to know if your droid is charging via usb 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0 or even usb 3.0? Does this make a difference with charging times?
