This is annoying me- When i try to turn off the pin lock i can't choose none. i see "Disabled by remote phone administrator"
I don't want a pin lock i just want the slide- is this a bug on my phone or is this a new thing that Verizon is enforcing?

I am going crazy here... I've had this thing since it launched and everything is great except I keep hitting buttons with my face during calls! I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.

Is there a way to get rid of the HTC slide down lock screen and use the default android lock screen that you slide to the side. View 45 Replies View RelatedSo I was going to update to Froyo manually when I noticed that my 'check for system updates' is disabled in the about phone menu. I can only think of two reasons:
1. I'm rooted (doesn't seem likely)
2. I'm roaming but still on 3g (This would be annoying as I have to drive 20 miles to verizon towers)Any ideas? On a separate note maybe this is an advantage.I'm new to the Android platform and have heard of issues upgrading to 2.2. Maybe I should just wait until Moto puts out the patch?

In onCreate method of Activity, it binds to a remote service and makes use of AIDL intefaces. Is it required to unbind from the remote service when onDestroy is called on screen orientation change.?
If the activity un-bounded from the remote service in onDestroy and if no other contexts are bound to remote service, is remote service likely to get stopped losing the state that it maintains.?
I'm having an issue with my phone. Most of the time my lock screen is focused on screen 4 (I use 5 screens) instead of on whatever screen I go to when unlocked. Does anybody else have this problem? I'm using Launcherpro if that makes a difference.

He told me the password and I can use it to wake the phone up just fine but I use the slide screen, but now there is both password unlock and the slide screens. I cant figure how to remove the password one

It does when I open the keyboard though. I could swear sometimes it did flip on its own, so I'm not sure if it was just my imagination or what. Any advise?I'm able to play abduction without any problems, so I'm sure it isn't a hardware thing.
