Motorola Droid :: Make Screen Lock During Phone Calls / Change Call Screen Altogether?
Jan 18, 2010I am going crazy here... I've had this thing since it launched and everything is great except I keep hitting buttons with my face during calls! I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

Nov 17, 2010I have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.

Samsung Fascinate :: Remove Verizon Wireless From Pattern Lock Screen
Oct 4, 2010I rooted my Samsung Fascinate. Installed Titanium Backup and managed to uninstall some bloatware.
I would like to remove the text "Verizon Wireless" from my pattern lock screen and replace it with my name.
When I rooted my HTC Eris and loaded KoasFroyo I encountered a similar situation where that ROM made it say Team AndIRC. I was able to do what I wanted by replacing eri.xml.
When I try to use ADB to push that same eri.xml file to my Fascinate I get an access denied error. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Any guidance would be appreciated. Since the phone is locked I want my name available on the front in case it is ever lost.

Aug 10, 2010I really hate the HTC slide down lock screen, It always answers calls in my pocket. Is there a way to get rid of the HTC slide down lock screen and use the default android lock screen that you slide to the side. I'v seen apps like Lockbot and WidgetLocker, but you still have to use the HTC slide down lock screen when answering calls.

Aug 22, 2010I have a quick question. My Droid screen is nonresponsive on the right side and also it will not allow me to slide it open to receive a call. According to several posts on this forum, the phone will most likely need to be replaced. My question is, since it is rooted, do I need to revert it back to stock before taking it to the Verizon store or will they know anyway? I do not want to waste my time reverting it back if they are going to know anyway that it is rooted. I know the warranty is voided since it is a rooted phone. Thank you for any advice that you may be able to give.

Nov 10, 2009For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.

Nov 13, 2010Well if you use widget locker, and a security lock, Froyo Forces you to: Unlock widget locker lock screen, then undo the lock screen, then enter your security code. However with Android Eclair 2.1, there is an option to turn off the screen lock. From my understanding, if you had the lock-screen disabled when you do the update, it will remain disabled after the OTA. However there is no longer any way to enable it because Google removed the option. As most people would find that bad, it should allow me to use widgetlocker, and a security lock without having to unlock the screen twice. Or of course, just use widget locker, as I have no intention of going back to the stock lock screen.
