When I am wearing my bluetooth earpiece (Plantronics Explorer 640) it only works for phone calls and notification tones. If I play a game or play some music it comes out of the speaker on the phone, any idea if this is a glitch or is my earpiece lacking something?

I have the car dock and love how the charging cable plugs into the dock so your not always plugging and unplugging it into the phone itself. You can just set it in the dock and go. Now the perfect scenario to me would be to be able to stream Slacker or MOG music from the X to the car stereo using Bluetooth. I currently have factory Bluetooth in the car, but is only for calls. I would like to get a new stereo with Bluetooth that would allow me to stream music to it in addition to using the X for Navigation. What I would like to know is how the sound quality will be? Is there anyone here currently doing this that can comment on the sound quality and let me know what deck you are using? I am REALLY hoping for success here so I can just drop the X into the car dock and go, without messing with any cables and still have very good sound quality.

Right now I use the application streamfurious to stream internet radio from shoutcast.com's website, an excellent source of thousands of radio links, to the droid. Now it would be sweet to be able to relay this again to another audio device. I have an auxiliary 3.5mm jack on my head unit in my car and I was wondering if anyone knew of any other device to convert that so it could stream through bluetooth. Theoretically I could just plug that into the phone but I hate wires. One other question... I know they say the data plan is unlimited but streaming music 24/7 would have a ridiculous amount of data usage. I think the cap is 5gb is this true??
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo when I bought my Droid, the offered me a "Bluetooth Package" which included the LG HBM-210 headset, a case, and a car charger (I can't remember if the screen covers were included or seperate). Is it possible to play music on that headset? Right now, after I pair it with my Droid, it only starts receiving sound when I receive or place a call. When I play music on the build-in player or with Pandora/Last.fm/Imeem nothing happens. It just plays from the speaker. If I can't listen to music through it at all I think I'll probably return it along with the case/cover I got.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a kenwood dnx6140 headunit that has a handful of features(bluetooth, navigation, yada yada....I have a handsfree voice system aswell which i use regularly with my droid which runs on bluetooth with no problems.....Heres the good stuff...When i try to play pandora or slacker via bluetooth it works but its very bumpy or skippy so i cant clearly hear the music....I dnt know why.?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola S10 bluetooth headset for listening to music. It's really nice not having to deal with cords and having controls for play/pause and track forward/back right on the headset.
However recently the controls have stopped working when my screen is off. I can't pause my music or advance track. I hear the 'beep' in my headset indicating that a button has been pressed, but my phone isn't getting or ignoring the command.
To make matters more complicated, it isn't a consistent thing. Occasionally the controls will still work with the phone off. This has been happening for a couple of weeks now and I'm having a very hard time finding any regularity to when it will or won't work. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I also can't seem to trace it to an specific program that I recently installed.
In settings, when i check the the box where the green check mark is suppose to appear it acts like it is trying to connect the bluetooth, but then nothing happens and it again says connect bluetooth.like it did before...im trying to just use my droid as a router for my Macbook via bluetooth. any help? why isn't my bluetooth not only not connecting, but not turning on as well?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've searched hi and low, so I apologize if this has been answered before.I have a stock Droid-X. I have my blue-tooth paired to Motorola HT820 stereo/phone headsets. SIDE NOTE: I also use wired stereo ear-buds that are music and phone capable as well.Here's the problem.I can be listening to Pandora with my HT820's all is fine, I am grooving.. then I receive a phone call. I carry on the phone call for 5+ minutes (or whatever) through the HT's and when I disconnect from the call, I have nothing but silence! Music does not come back. I check to make sure Pandora is running and the music is playing yep, still no sound though.So I try and test what is happening.I then go back and call, say voice mail. The call goes over the HT's fine. But when I disconnect from the call, my music is not there. I try turning off, then back on the blue-tooth (I double check in settings I am connected and it is) but it still won't play my music, it will come over the regular speaker, when I turn of the blue tooth. The only way to bring it back is to power off the X. My music will then play again until I receive another call or notification like a text message.The weird thing is this happens when I use the wired ear buds plugged into the jack. These are designed not only for stereo, but handling phone calls too. No sound, I unplug and the music plays out the speaker. Again only powering off and on the X will get the music back into the wired ear buds. Like I said, this is a stock phone, not rooted. Paired and connected, Media and phone checked.

I had my Droid connected to my car's AUX via typical cable/jack. Various songs were skipping. They weren't skipping the day before, just since yesterday.
It only skips when it is connected via jack or Bluetooth to another player.
If i just listen to the Droid without connecting to anything else, it doesn't skip.
I have a eciplse 2 an440 something like that. When I do a bluetooth scan it finds my phone and sets up profiles for car calls but that's it. It does not find bluetooth stereo. Do I need to download a bluetooth audio player or should I check to make sure my stereo supports it.

I'm running Sapphire 1.1.1 and like it so far. Coming from Cyanogen, I'm mostly interested in the music volume rocker controls for skipping through songs when the screen is off. I know the problem with Sapphire has typically been that the volume rocker controls sometimes continually skip through songs when the button is pressed, but mine seems to only start the current song over. Anyone else have this problem? The lock screen controls work fine, but I'd like to get the volume rocker working correctly so I can keep my eyes on the road when driving.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBrowsing around the net at work today for Bluetooth Game Controllers, I came across a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard HERE - it's also selling on Ebay. It claims to be compatible with Android, but as we're all learning Android on one phone isn't the same as Android on another.
I'm wondering two things really: 1) Anyone know if it is actually compatible with Android and moreso if it's compatible with HTC Incredible
and 2) If it is compatible, once connected, can you use it in conjunction with Game Emulators (I have the popular one for GBA) so that I could use the buttons on there to play the games.
It's the perfect size for a game controller (too bad they don't also make one for that purpose) and would be much better than the touch screen controls which impede on the game.
Well the problems started 3 weeks ago when i noticed whenever i move around the headphones inside the jack, the music stops or one of the ear buds stop working. so i thought it was the headphones since skullcandies don't last long. i got a new pair and listened again but it STILL HAPPENED . (btw, the phone is not rooted)
The Phone still plays media fine without the headphones, so i thought no big deal. NEW PROBLEMS started to occur. The phone would NOT PLAY Media files whatsoever. (games, music, notifications, APPS ) every time it happens i have to restart the phone.
I've searched around and cant find anything. I was wondering if anybody has found a bluetooth style controller that can be used for gaming/NES emulators. After I stop the music and and put the stereo into another mode it works fine. If I later get a call it acts normally, but after I end the call it starts to stream music again! Any ideas on what the problem might be? My stereo worked fine with my behold I and nokia 5310.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOk non-rooted droid. Using the stock media player it will not let me play a certain folder that I downloaded. I can not figure out why it will not play any of the songs on in that certain folder. I downloaded the whole disc set of a certain artist and this is the only folder that does it. I checked and every song is 317 kbps MP3 format. I have some music that I downloaded using iMusic and it is 320 kbps MP3 format, so I have deducted the bitrate as being the issue.
