Motorola Droid X :: 2.2 Makes Phone Laggy
Aug 20, 2010ever since I installed Froyo my phone has been so laggy it's almost unresponsive. I'm rooted so that may be a cause but it might be a bad app. Anyone else have similar problems?

Apr 9, 2010Manual 2.1, helix, 5 screens, no live WP, and only a few widgets.Seems like the phone needs 3 or 4 seconds to process everything.. whether its a text message reply, or a new calendar event or loading an app. VERY annoying. Wasn't this way when I first got it. Switching from portrait to landscape or back again takes a good 5 seconds.. scrolling through the apps is jumpy.. etc.Yes, I run Advanced Task Killer (use the widget) and i run it like its going out of style to keep everything clean. I'm very OCD in this sense.

Oct 29, 2010I've never really used the video-recording until today. After maybe 3-5 seconds of recording, my phone will automatically restart. It's happened 3 out of 3 times, and one of those times it was stuck on the big M [battery pull fixed it]. I am rooted, but not running any ROMs or Themes. I am overclocked to 1.45ghz [if this makes a difference].

Apr 19, 2010Has anyone downloaded the swype and seem like your phone runs extremely slow when it is running. When i have the swype app running then my phone is very slow, meaning when i just hit the home bottom takes five seconds to get there with all icons showing. I return to using the stock keyboard and the lag is gone. Anyone else getting this?

Sep 16, 2010I don't know if its coincidence but i just bought the motorola extended battery and my phone seems to be lagging alot with google voice and just seems a little unstable overall. Been loving my x but has been letting me down since the new battery, though i love the battery life with it. Guess i need to try the old battery again and see if it improves.

Feb 12, 2010I used the Droid/Google GPS over Christmas to get from Tx to Fla... smooth as butter. Satellite view of the route was amazing.Since then I've rooted with SMUpdater and installed the newest Google Maps, as well as SetCPU, running at 800,000.I used the GPS yesterday and though it worked great, it was a bit laggy, took a while to fill in with satellite view from time to time, especially if I tried to zoom in at any point.Is the rendering of the map reliant more upon the speed of the processor or upon the speed of the internet -- and could any of the updates or mods affected this/

Nov 18, 2009This is driving me nuts! Ive had my phone for a week and all of a sudden today it makes the worst clicking sounds when I type anything. It literally sounds like a typewriter.
I have Settings>Sound & Display>Audible selection "unchecked" and I still get this.
Can anyone help me figure out how to turn this off?
Ok I found it and boy did I have to do some digging. settings>applications>running services>android keyboard>Sound on Keypress = Uncheck.
Motorola Droid X :: Camera Still Makes Focusing Sound When In Vibrate Mode
Jul 19, 2010Anyone know how to disable this sound? When you are focusing it, it makes the little ding! sound, even when it is in vibrate mode. I was playing around with the camera at work this morning and found this out. kinda scared me cause i thought that since i have it in vibrate mode, it shouldn't make any sounds, right?

Oct 12, 2010It seems that sometimes when I turn on 4g my evo starts to lag. Opening apps, typing, receiving messages...etc. but when I turn it off its still laggy and i have to restart to make it go back to normal. This appears to be completely random as it doesn't do it all the time, only sometimes. It doesn't matter whether I have good reception or not. Does this happen to anyone else? Nov 8, 2009So far my Hero is pretty good, and I LOVE Sprint's service (I had AT&T and regularly dropped calls. I have not had a single dropped call since I switched to Sprint) and prices. However, my biggest complaint about the phone is the lag. It's such a slow phone.I mean, for most usage it's fine. But often when I'm trying to bang out a text or email, the keyboard lags a lot. Sometimes it thinks I'm still holding down the delete key and ends up deleting everything I wrote unless I stop it. The thing takes forever to switch to landscape. And using the music player makes the phone even worse (not to mention the music player just kinda sucks... I think I'm gonna get a Zune HD). So will 2.0 address these issues? Or is this a limitation of the comparatively old hardware in the phone? I want to love this phone, but when I can get a more mature Blackberry that's not as laggy and has a hardware keyboard, it's hard to do so. Droid looks nice but VZW is expensive, AT&T sucks, and T-Mo is cheap but has very little 3G coverage.

Oct 14, 2010My sister recently got the Droid 2 mainly because of the physical keyboard. As far as the camera and the ability to use the internet goes she loves the phone. However, its really,really laggy. I have a Droid Incredible and I am amazed at the lag between switching home screens and the launching of apps on the 2. She also said that she has a problem with the phone sending texts to the wrong person. Does anyone else experience these sort of problems?
So my question is are there and Droid 2 users that got rid of their phone and found another Android Verizon phone that they like a lot?

Aug 10, 2010i wonder if anyone have had this problem? very choppy video playback on the milestone, in terms of fps and audio lag in the video. no matter wat video player i use, its stil laggy. is it because of the new maintanence update by motorola last month, cos i dun seem to have such problems before. can someone pls help me? its a very irritating problem.

Mar 30, 2010I've had my Hero for a few months now and it has been wonderful. However, the other night, the phone wouldn't charge all the way, so I unplugged it, restarted it, and charged it and it charged up to 90% through the night. Last night it only charged up to about 50% give or take. This morning at work, I plugged it in and instead of charging, it got extremely hot and then it died.
This afternoon, I took it to the Sprint store and they put in a new battery and the phone worked again, but it got REALLY hot again. I took it back in and they looked at it again and said the phone has definitely got a problem and the cause of this is water. It has been raining, but I don't recall ever having any water get in the phone - just the occasional rain drop hits the screen and I wipe it off. I never keep it out in the rain. They are saying I'll have to do an insurance claim to replace it because of water damage. They say there are 4 water marks in the phone. I find this so hard to believe and don't like that they want me to spend $100 on a new phone.
