View 44 RepliesBoth the sense and multitouch keyboards lag to high hell in the google voice app. I even tried the leaked apk for the new version with widgets and its even worse.handcent, gmail, everything else is perfect. GV is my main texting app now so its a pretty big annoyance for me, especially when I'm texting while something else is running in the background.
View 7 Replies View RelatedManual 2.1, helix, 5 screens, no live WP, and only a few widgets.Seems like the phone needs 3 or 4 seconds to process everything.. whether its a text message reply, or a new calendar event or loading an app. VERY annoying. Wasn't this way when I first got it. Switching from portrait to landscape or back again takes a good 5 seconds.. scrolling through the apps is jumpy.. etc.Yes, I run Advanced Task Killer (use the widget) and i run it like its going out of style to keep everything clean. I'm very OCD in this sense.
View 49 Replies View Relatedever since I installed Froyo my phone has been so laggy it's almost unresponsive. I'm rooted so that may be a cause but it might be a bad app. Anyone else have similar problems?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems that sometimes when I turn on 4g my evo starts to lag. Opening apps, typing, receiving messages...etc. but when I turn it off its still laggy and i have to restart to make it go back to normal. This appears to be completely random as it doesn't do it all the time, only sometimes. It doesn't matter whether I have good reception or not. Does this happen to anyone else? If so is there a fix for this or am I just stuck. Posted from my evo
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe phone seems laggy. When I open up the app launcher, scrolling through them isn't smooth. Also, when I use the leap function, it lags switching between showing all 7 home screens and going to an individual one. Anyone else notice this?
View 9 Replies View Relatedi called htc. Some stupid lady told me to reset my phone once a day to improve evo speed Then i called sprint customer service. He researched for 10mins, sent some kind of profile update to my phone and now when 4g is on my phone doesnt lag.I dont know what he did but it worked! Before i called him i tried all the updates through the update menu, but nothing worked. He definitely did something that isnt available through the update menu
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo far my Hero is pretty good, and I LOVE Sprint's service (I had AT&T and regularly dropped calls. I have not had a single dropped call since I switched to Sprint) and prices. However, my biggest complaint about the phone is the lag. It's such a slow phone.I mean, for most usage it's fine. But often when I'm trying to bang out a text or email, the keyboard lags a lot. Sometimes it thinks I'm still holding down the delete key and ends up deleting everything I wrote unless I stop it. The thing takes forever to switch to landscape. And using the music player makes the phone even worse (not to mention the music player just kinda sucks... I think I'm gonna get a Zune HD). So will 2.0 address these issues? Or is this a limitation of the comparatively old hardware in the phone? I want to love this phone, but when I can get a more mature Blackberry that's not as laggy and has a hardware keyboard, it's hard to do so. Droid looks nice but VZW is expensive, AT&T sucks, and T-Mo is cheap but has very little 3G coverage.
View 37 Replies View RelatedMy sister recently got the Droid 2 mainly because of the physical keyboard. As far as the camera and the ability to use the internet goes she loves the phone. However, its really, really laggy. I have a Droid Incredible and I am amazed at the lag between switching home screens and the launching of apps on the 2. She also said that she has a problem with the phone sending texts to the wrong person. Does anyone else experience these sort of problems?
So my question is are there and Droid 2 users that got rid of their phone and found another Android Verizon phone that they like a lot?
I wanted to ask you if there are some must do's after upgrading to 2.1.Since upgrading..the phone is very laggy and sometimes the network will just drop.I won't be able to surf or use any programs that require getting on the internet. Is there something I can do now that I'm on 2.1 to restore it's speed? Should I do a reset to the phone and then upgrade to 2.1?What have you guys done to speed up the phone?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm running galaxo 1.6.2 which i installed on my phone running firmware XII5. Since the update I've noticed my phone very laggy and getting FC's all the time. From doing some reading, shouldnt the update have installed JC6 ? Is it my current firmware version the reason for my phones issues ? Do I need to Odin JC6 ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't know if its coincidence but i just bought the motorola extended battery and my phone seems to be lagging alot with google voice and just seems a little unstable overall. Been loving my x but has been letting me down since the new battery, though i love the battery life with it. Guess i need to try the old battery again and see if it improves.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI used the Droid/Google GPS over Christmas to get from Tx to Fla... smooth as butter. Satellite view of the route was amazing.Since then I've rooted with SMUpdater and installed the newest Google Maps, as well as SetCPU, running at 800,000.I used the GPS yesterday and though it worked great, it was a bit laggy, took a while to fill in with satellite view from time to time, especially if I tried to zoom in at any point. Is the rendering of the map reliant more upon the speed of the processor or upon the speed of the internet -- and could any of the updates or mods affected this/
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it just me, or is the tab you slide to unlock the phone laggy in Froyo? It was really smooth in 2.1, now it is choppy.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open the "phone interface" to make a call, everything becomes much more sluggish, i.e. when I hit dial, or speakerphone button, there's an input lag. Droid Eris on 1.5.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk updated to froyo JPK the other night and the phone is now back to being very laggy and buggy. The one click lag fix doesn't weem to work with Froyo and nothing else I have came across will work either, even the ones that are meant to.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDownloaded and installed 6.1 and although I do like it and love the battery life it seems very laggy when scrolling the screen. When I scroll down the application list or within the browers or just any application that involves scrolling the scroll is not smooth it seems very jerky.I tried the stable version 6.0.2 I think it was from Rom manager but that seemed to be worse.I wiped and cleared cache everytime I have flashed it, not sure if there is a step I am missing.Does anyone else have this issue or could anyone point me in the direction of something I might have missed?
View 7 Replies View RelatedHad my desire for about 8 months now and have had very few problems however since updating to 2.2 (on Orange) i have had a VERY laggy stock browser. i have downloaded Dolphin HD and that seems to fix it but i prefer the stock and it makes it easier to manage my bookmarks using the LauncherPro widgets.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for a thread and nothing came up. Forgive me if this has been addressed before.
So I recently moved to a place where I can get 4g pretty much everywhere I go, which is awesome. Unfortunately though, the Evo gets unbearably laggy when I use 4g, even after I turn it off. It can take up to 5 seconds for the screen to turn on. I tried doing a hard reset, and for a day or two the evo was back to it's glorious self...but that was short-lived.Any suggestions?
I love my SF but lately its been obnoxiously laggy! I will try to type and nothing even happens, takes for ever to switch screens, scroll. The soft buttons on the bottom aren't working as well... Whats going on?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have tried using both launcher pro and ADW launcher, who have a reputation of being light launchers, and no matter how much I mess about with the settings, I always experience the same thing:
1: They are often not fluid when swiping screens, showing a little sign of lag or sluggishness that you do not experience with the Sense UI and which drives me crazy.
2: When unlocking the phones, the first swipe is always followed by a noticeable amount of latency.
This bothers me quite a bit, because I really like these launchers and I know of no other way to get the (from my POV) main advantage behind them (the dock).Any advice? I have tried messing about with the memory settings etc to no avail.
I have a 2week old Hero which for unknown reasons has a very laggy music player, is this normal ?
I only have like 10 songs aswel, on average they are 3-4mins long aswel. Is there a better music player which doesnt lag plus i have the latest firmware.
I seem to be realizing more and more every day that android actually really sucks at multitasking. What is up with that? The pre makes me rather jealous in that respect. Sure, it's usually not that big of a deal but it just should be better. It seems like all the apps I don't want to keep running do, and the ones that I do, don't. Any game will keep running after I'm done with it(and cannot be closed without the use of a 3rd party task killer - that's just pitiful) but if I want to look something up while I'm writing an email or a text message I have to save it as a draft. That just doesn't make any sense. The least google can do is include a task manager. If I didn't have advanced task manager, my phone would be laggy as hell because about half of my apps start when I start up my phone for no apparent reason and keep running. I can use advanced task manager and that's all well and good but I shouldn't HAVE to. Personally, this seems like a fairly big flaw to me. I love android and I'm sure I'll stick with it but I'd really really like to seem something similar to the "cards" idea with the pre. I love to make fun of the iPhone for not being able to multitask but that's almost hard to do with the state android is in right now.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI was trying to use my optical pad the other day to swipe home screens instead of swiping on the screen and noticed it was extremely laggy! Anyone else having this problem?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWell iw got a bit of a problem...adw is laggy as hell, and it looks like its loading my apps that r on my home screen(s) when switchng from landscape to portrait view...i flash my x10 several times oh and btw its rooted and o26. Any solutions for that?
View 9 Replies View RelatedStock messaging app has become very laggy with over 3000 messages, some spawning threads of around 800 messages. Also, deleting them, while being an option, shouldn't be necessary. I delete all of my messages at the start of a new billing cycle and that's how it's always been with my smartphones, so none of those suggestions please For those of you who use 3rd party SMS apps, with large amounts of text messages, do you notice any of them being laggy?
