View 3 RepliesUnlucky for my my wifes phone crapped out this mourning. She's looking at getting the Droid 2...if she gets it she will only go with the $15 month plan with just 150 meg's a month. Can anyone tell me if they are able to do this? She's LGVX9800 which has no data. If you just use e-mail, text, maybe weather-bug, and are on wifi when you can is it pretty easy to keep the monthly data under 150? Also if one gets near the 150 mark and there are 3 days left in the month is there a way to prevent the usage of more data?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWell to start things off, I had my iPod touch 1st gen. stolen out of my car, and finding out that the cable I use to play music over my Alpine headunit will not work with my newly acquired iPod touch 2nd gen. has prompted me to look into other ways to have all my music with me in my car as well as be able to play it over my stereo.I found this lovely little A2DP receiver online very cheap:All in all, this has cost me less than an iPod cable that would work with the newer iPod I have, and makes everything much simpler, reducing the number of devices I carry. Hopefully this helps someone, I am curious to see what the audio quality for A2DP is while streaming music from the DROID,
View 48 Replies View Relatedso I just tried out our music player this evening. Among many other things, I have to say this thing is AWESOME. Yes, I agree, the user interface could use some work. However, the sound is MUCH better than my ipod touch. I use my ipod for music and this monster for everything else. Well, my battery in the ipod died so I put the same earbuds in the Droid and was amazed at the sound.Must say that I am constantly amazed with this thing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith all the "froyo isn't working" or "froyo isn't installing" or glitch issues or whatever, i thought id start a thread about how it is working and my favorite features. I'm just updating to the newest leak, but froyo is awesome. When i first installed (CW) i lost root... i did another android and it has worked fine. I love BB but this base ROM is so fast, stable and fantastic... Ive had 2 FC's in 3 days, and no issues. Ive updated to the new baseband and it helped my signal issues... I'm running team chaos theme and i LOVE the black and white combo. I'm Daniel and Froyo is working great for me.

View 29 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to set the month as your default calendar view? I don't care to see what's happening on a current day. I'd rather see the whole month instead!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI searched the forums and I even tried Google, however, I can't seem to find a fix for my calendar. Every time I view my calendar it shows up in agenda view and I can't get it to stay in month view which is the only way I would like to view it, does anyone know how to correct this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I'm just not doing something right or what. I had my calendar on the Eris that took up one of my screens with a monthly view and cannot seem to find it on my DX, Can anyone lead me in the right direction or suggest an app for that.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI updated to Froyo really early along on my DX and am pretty sure I'm using the first leak still. My phone constantly locks up/overheats and I have to battery pull to get it working again. I would like to get the most updated Froyo which hopefully doesn't lock me up anymore and also root it again.
What is the best way to do this without actually knowing which version of Froyo I am using? I don't mind losing all of my data and starting over, but the locking up is just becoming way to frequent. I have it in my head that if I flash back to 2.1 stock and do the OTA, then do the root again it would be much smoother. Am I on the right track? I really stepped away from the root scene for a while after I rooted mine so I am lost.
There is an app called Shortcovers. in the android market. It will let you both read free books an Buy Current Best Sellers Books. The site is uses a Kobo ereader and they sell them at the Borders bookstores. I am just thrilled to finally find someplace that has an easy access to purchase current books for my little Droid.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs anyone aware of an app that will show me my calendar with text in the month view? Every app I've tried only shows weather there is an appointment on that day or not, but no text. I'd like to look at my month view and see specifically what I have scheduled on that day. In landscape mode you would think that would be easy to do.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been reading about the Eris battery life issues on this and other forums. Even with all the tweaks that users have applied to it, the Eris continues to have a rep for bad battery life. Its a bit odd that the Eris gets worse battery life than the Moto Droid which has a larger screen and more processing power, don't you think? I've also read that Eris reception is not that great, that the Droid gets 3G reception when the Eris can't etc.
These issues (battery life and reception) lead me to wonder if they are related. Perhaps the Eris has a weak antenna, or bad antenna placement? This would lead it to have worse reception than other smart phones and also worse battery life because it would have to apply more juice to the antenna to reach the cell phone towers. I've attached a poll to see if there is any correlation between bad battery life and bad reception.
One of the big things I was looking forward to with 2.1 was full flash support. But, as we should have expected, thats a no go for 1st gen phones. In this article they make mention of the processor architecture being the reason, does this mean that even after root and some hacking it will never work? Or is that just Adobe's excuse? No Flash 10.1 for 1st gen Android phones

Does anyone know of any app out there that can count how many sms have been sent to a particular number each month? my contract gives me around 70 sms to Europe and I don't want to go over this limit as it gets expensive!
There is only 1 European number I text so if I can count messages sent to just this number - In theory I will know how many I have left in my balance!
I have the date of several events expressed in milliseconds*, and I want to know which events are inside the current week and the current month, but I can't figure out how to obtain the first day (day/month/year) of the running week and convert it to milliseconds, the same for the first day of the month.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been after getting a Desire on T-Mobile's 10/month contract (24 month contract, cost of phone 164), but I've just looked at the website now and the option for the 10/month contract has disappeared... Next cheapest option appears to be 15/month with the phone at 157, but the total cost over the course of the contract is 517, which is 113 more than the total cost with the 10/month contract Does anyone know if this represents an actual change in T-Mobile's pricing, or could it just be a temporary error with the website?

View 49 Replies View RelatedHere is a small video showing you how to use Youmail voice mail service, it is free, and you can customize your greeting to each caller if you want, you can also list to your messages in several ways, from the phone app, from your email from your PC or phone, which is what I prefer. and it can also send you an email when you have a message or a text message, I personally do not use the phone app, I simply listen to my voice mails from my email. You will need to register and set it up, and then forward your voice mail to the Youmail message center, simple To forward you simply dial from your Sprint Phone *289095106169 and you will hear 2 quick beeps and your messages will go directly to Youmail service, to deactivate if you ever want, simply dial *38 and you will here 2 beeps again telling your phone has been deactivated from the Youmail service http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Epuc9eyyf_Q
