Jun 28, 2012I'm using nova launcher ans cm9. Today i installed a cm9 (Theme chooser) theme with realy nice Icons. If i edit my lockscreen icons i can select the new once under "System Icons" but if i want to change Them within Nova launcher i cant find them.
Where do i find them or how can i make them available?

Feb 27, 2012I'm using the latest version of GO Launcher Theme Factory, and I've made a theme with around 30 icons, but I can't seem to add custom icons for other apps that aren't in GO's list. For example, I want to add a Nexflix icon for my theme, but I can't because when I double click on the add custom icon button, GO wants me to open an .apk file, not an image file. How to add a new icon to the list where it's actually an image file, or .apk file that I could download to my comp that has a bunch of custom icons listed (I'll make my own actual icons).

Sep 10, 2010I'm trying to create a basic AlertDialog using an activity with a theme of Theme.Dialog.What I want is for there to be a horizontal bar between the title and the message. However, the bar is not being resized correctly. Rather than being the width of the activity, the bar is the width of the message text. This means that if the activity is being expanded by the message, then the bar will fill the whole activity, so it looks correct. However, if the message width is less than the activity width, the bar only displays above the part of the activity with the text. I've tried every single combination of "fill_parent" and "wrap_content" that I can think of, and none of those work.I've also tried using RelativeLayout and placing the bar above the message text, but that also doesn't work. If I use the RelativeLayout approach and set the bar to fill_parent, it causes the activity to expand to fill the whole screen width, which is also undesirable. Ideally, I want the text placed, the activity width computed, and the bar resized to that width (without affecting it). Is there some way to flag a view to fill the parent view but not to affect its size?

Jul 15, 2009I use themes in my apps, which generally just extend android:Theme and then set a bunch of styles. I use dialogs made from layouts, but since I set the theme for the application, they have inherited all of the regular styles and no longer carry a border, etc. My question is: How do I say, "I want everything to use this theme which extends Theme, except dialogs, which should use this other theme that extends Theme.Dialog"? It seems like that's how things work by default but when you set the theme to your own, you lose the dialog theme!

Mar 6, 2009I've extended Theme.Dialog to use a different color as per the sample in the ApiDemos project but for some reason it does not use the theme properly in my project. I created a new project and it works perfectly fine there. The main problem here is that it does not show as floating in my project. Instead, it sets the rest of the screen black except for what would be the dialog window, where it uses the correct colors, etc. Any ideas? I am beating my head against the wall here.

Jul 20, 2010I've been using LP for about a week (it's great BTW!) and this just started to happen so it could have something to do with the latest update. I've set LP at the default launcher and everything works great. However, if I ever long press the "home" button, go to an application, then press "home" again I get the popup asking me which launcher I want to use. I check the "set as default" box then select LP and everything is good again. It all works until I long press home the next time, then the remembered default is gone and I get the prompt again. I've tried rebooting, clearing defaults, etc.

Sep 16, 2009Seems to me everyone is so grateful for the Rom update that we haven't had time to be hacked off about it. I work in software and the size and number of these updates says to me that HTC knew about many of these issues before the handset shipped and were already working on fixes them. There is no way things like the camera upgrade are bug fixes found after go live. Someone (probably an accountant) decided that it was OK to ship even with the defects and that when they were fixed it was OK to have an update system that forced us all to completely rebuild our phones or partly rebuild them if we were prepared to buy a third party app to back them up.
If HTC seriously want to take on the Iphone they are going to have to be a lot slicker in future. Just having a great product is not good enough you need the whole package if you want mass market appeal. In the end they may have shot themselves in the foot. This update may have largely fixed the lag but all those early reviews are still out there and people considering this phone will still find them and be put off for months or years to come. Don't get me wrong I love it and would not change it for an Iphone or anything else I am just sad that such a great product has been so badly tainted by poor customer service and niggling faults.

This is with texting, a few phone calls, using the application store a few times, reading and updating my status. I have had the phone almost a week and I have been on a mission to get great battery life.

Jun 15, 2010So my battery life was pretty poor, i'd be lucky to get 5-8 hours with minimal use and playing around with 4G on occasion. I tried my wives Hero battery to see if it made a difference.. it didn't seem to. So after her phone charged my battery up I swapped back. Now with normal use, playing music with it in the car, browsing the web on occasion, doing speed tests 3G/4G, couple hours of phone calls, some games, messing around with the LEDs as a flash light i'm still at 30% with 1 Day 4 hours unplugged. What the heck happened with her phone charging my battery!? What an improvement! I made no other changes on the phone besides that. I'll see if after my own phone charges the battery if this lasts or if perhaps there is an issue with the phone charging the battery. Pretty odd, just thought i'd share and see if anyone has any ideas what could be happening.

Dec 24, 2009so I just tried out our music player this evening. Among many other things, I have to say this thing is AWESOME. Yes, I agree, the user interface could use some work. However, the sound is MUCH better than my ipod touch. I use my ipod for music and this monster for everything else. Well, my battery in the ipod died so I put the same earbuds in the Droid and was amazed at the sound.Must say that I am constantly amazed with this thing.

Finally my contact pics are properly synced and properly updating with facebook.But when using turn by turn navigation, before it would drop the music, give the direction and the music would turn back on.Now it pauses the player, and the music doesn't turn back on without manually pressing play again. Driving through downtown seattle with lots of turns this is pretty annoying.
