You guys know whether one can watch YouTube videos in high quality or "HQ" format on the Droid? Is there a setting or an option that allows one to stream the HQ versions rather than the lower quality versions?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk I just tried to watch a video on HQ while having several bars of service but when I click the HQ button in the youtube app it just resets the video and never has HQ highlighted in red... anyone else having this issue? I already power cycled my Evo too. Spoke to a co-worked who has the Captivate and HQ is working for him fine.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUsing the Facebook app, some music artists post videos of concert footage etc. When I click on the video to watch it, my Incredible will ask me if I want to use Internet or YouTube to watch it. Unfortunately neither works for me.
When I choose Internet, YouTube's website pops up with the video and a play button. When I click the play button it does nothing. When I choose to open it via the YouTube app, I get an error saying that it can't play the file.
Is there a way to watch embedded YouTube videos that people post on Facebook via the app?

This made me think i was missing some sort of codec so i started converting mp4s on my computer and found that only converting to [H.264.MP4] works for my samsung.
So im wondering if theres some sort of codec i need to install on my phone like flash/divx/ k-lite codec pack to be able to watch youtube videos?
Its taking me 15 minutes to watch 5 minute videos...Doesn't matter if im on 3g 4g or wifi...And to add to that sometimes they dont even play. Just loads for minutes...Should i call Tech or is it something im just going to have to deal with?

Anyone knows if a 1000mA car if enough?? Tonight, I was watching a Youtube HD video on 4G network (2/3 bars on 4G) with the phone connected to a 1000mA USB wall charger. After 10min, the battery dropped 2%...Well, even 1000mA cannot compensate the consumption of the battery. The power consumption of this phone is ridiculous. Something must be wrong with the system/circuit design.

Got the 2.1 upgrade and thought this is going to be worth it. I was wrong.
When I try to watch a clip on YouTube it takes ages to load.9/10 times it does not play.WHY? Also I wanted to see a clip on BBC Sport page. Guess what it�s not supported. I can't even go onto my local radio station website and listen live.Whats the point in this phone.

Anyway. Is there a reason why I am having trouble doing these kind of things.Maybe internet settings are wrong.I'm using Skyfire as default browser. I thought it was basic stuff for any Smartphone to be able to watch a clip online.
Pretty pissed off by the youtube app in X10.
Sound is always late by about 0.3s.
Its a real turn off to see the mouth move first, then hear the sound.
Is there any other apps which I can watch youtube in high quality, without facing this sound problem?
Or is there another better apps out there?
When I'm at home, my WiFi speed is typically almost 3m DOWN and 700k UP. (Lame compared to my speeds at work) While my 3G is typically about HALF of those speeds. But here's where my confusion sets in. When I watch a YouTube video with the stock YouTube app, videos buffer faster and/or play MUCH better when using 3G. I'm wondering if the 3G connection is utilizing some kind of compression that allows this?
