I'm sure this has been addressed, but I'm new to this forum and can't seem to find it.I'm coming from the iPhone and need to know if I can sync my calendar and contacts with my Mac. I know the Droid syncs with my Google account, but can I get it on my mac into contacts and address book too?

I want to sync a lot of my contacts that are either on gmail or facebook. The problem I have is that I only want about 10pct of the facebook list and only about 1% of the google contact list. And google has best email while facebook has picture and date of birth. Is there something that will allow me to combine these? how did you go about forming the best contact list?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy droid not receiving my emails as they were sent to me, they would show up on my phone many hours after they were sent, all at once. I did the *228 option 1, and that worked for a while, but now I've had to do it a few times a week because my email will just randomly stop being pushed to my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk so I just flashed JRummy's remix last night and since then I haven't been able to get my Facebook account to sync... I do the Settings>Accounts and sync>Add Account>Facebook and all it does is go back to the add account page... I had this problem before I used JRummy's so I don't think it is the ROM... (that time I just kept hitting facebook and it eventually worked).

I can create an account without error, but there is no folders and blank inbox. I get no errors. Any ideas? Anything special with Exchange 2010? This is the first 2010 that I have tried to sync my phone to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI created some events in my google calendar on my Mac desktop. I am not using iCal for this, I am using Google. Anyway, when I mounted my Droid to the desktop, I figured it would sync on its own with the new information I entered on the desktop calendar but nothing changed on the phone. The only change I noticed was that US Holidays popped up but several events I created did not show up on my phone. What am I doing wrong? I thought the Droid syncs with no problem with the google calendar?

I have the phone set on Wi-fi, and in Performance mode and the email still doesn't sync unless I do it manually. Should I be looking for another Email app?TBH i can't even find any options like what i had on 2.1 to where i could change the frequency of syncing options.

So far this has not happened. I have over a hundred contacts on my phone and when I go to gmail on my pc it does not have any of my contacts. Am I doing something wrong, or was I misinformed?

Checkout gSyncit.Yes, it's $15. But for that price, you get an integrated solution to Microsoft Outlook that will sync your contacts and calendar to you gmail account. So even if you don't have a gmail account for your email...setup a dummy account and set gSyncit to sync your contacts/calendar to it. Then just setup your Android device to sync with the same account. In the end, you basically end up with a free push system that will always keep your desktop and Android device wirelessly synced.There are several other free sync solutions out there...but I've found most of them to be rather abysmal in their consistency and usability. In addition, gSyncit will sync contact pictures.

It started a couple of days ago, I since installed the Froyo 2.2 update and also downloaded the Gmail update in the Marketplace. I figured this out the hard way when 2 new numbers did not show up after a clean wipe a week ago. Only the 2 new ones were missing and the starred in android doesn't show accurate contacts, missing 4 that are in my main contact section but starred in the phone by me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've read the constant threads where people say, just find the friend on facebook, hold press their icon and it will do whatever. doesnt work at all, the only thing happens is if i quick press i get the chooser to email them, or view their facebook profile. what im trying to do is manually sync a contact on my phone with a facebook contact. on my friends droid eris he can open up a phone contact, hit edit and actually has a field for him to type my facebook name in and it will sync. there anyway to do this? im tired of only having like 10 peoples profiles actually syncing with my phone contacts and another 100 not synced..
View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter I installed and evaluated the Companionlink software for syncing Outlook contacts, calendar, tasks and notes to my Droid, I noticed the gmail contacts were no longer syncing via the gmail sync. However, the gmail calendar and mail were not affected. I uninstalled all of the Companionlink stuff but the contacts still do not sync. Anyone know how I can get the contacts to sync via gmail again? Short of "reset user data on phone"?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with getting Facebook profile pics to show up with the majority of my contacts. Here is what I've done so far:
1) Synced my Gmail contacts with my Droid
2) Set Facebook settings on Droid to Sync Contacts
At this point, roughly 3 or 4 of my 70 contacts showed their FB profile picture. I am able to view people's FB profiles by clicking on their contact profile, but still no picture. After clicking on some contacts' profiles, their picture will appear, but this has only worked a few times (~3/20).
Does any one have suggestions on how to get FB profile pictures synced to all contacts that have profiles available?
I have no idea what to do here, I can manually sync my accounts but they dont refresh like they are supposed to. I even tried turning push off, battery pull etc NOTHING. I really need my email on me at all times!
