Does anyone have the snap on silicone case? If so what do you think of it? I'm thinking about picking one up and just wanted to see how people that actually have one feel about it.

If not, please consider this a formal request. I understand it will take away the sliding keyboard functionality, but I still want one. Honestly, I just like the idea of a slip over silicone case, as opposed to a snap on case. Any help where I can at least find a basic black slip over silicone case for the droid?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSaw this in the store today and thought about getting it. It looks like it's made of something like aluminum or a cheap version of it. Fairly inexpensive, too. Just wondering if anyone has used this case. I like my Seidio Innocase just fine but looking for a change. My concern is how it snaps on and whether or not it would damage the case in the spots where it holds onto the phone. I am also wondering how the paint job holds up. Just curious. I'd post a pic but it's not on the verizon website and I can't find anything similar on ebay. This one doesn't have a bezel that goes all the way around the front of the phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought the one from RadioShack for my HTC EVO but when I got home and put it on, I don't like it. It recesses the camera lens, which I like because it isn't sitting right on it now, but the edges of the case don't fit well and are kind of bowed on both sides. Plus it's really bulky and I can't slide it into my pocket now.
I like the silicone cases; anyone use one that isn't really bulky and actually fits well?

View 28 Replies View RelatedSome of us have had issues with the volume and power buttons being depressed by the case just fitting a bit too tight causing unwanted changes in volume or turning the phone off by accident. Some have simply cut out the button areas completely but I have found a better answer. Simply make two slits one above the case molded buttons and one below. This allows for the phones buttons to slightly push away the case molded buttons for a perfect fit. See pictures below. The case buttons still work fine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was really hoping to save 55% off the cost of the Tmobile Gel Case but alas it was not to be. When my wife saw the case installed on the phone she said "what the heck?" That's because the case fits the Vibrant unevenly. And it doesn't wrap around the bezel fully.
Here is my review:
The Amzer "Silicone Skin Case" is completely unacceptable to me in terms of fit, feel and function. The Vibrant is a top of the line, expensive and amazing device deserving of quality accessories. This case is basically junk and not commensurate with the quality or value of the Vibrant.
First the fit: It slides onto the Vibrant easily enough (too easily in fact - it feels like it might fall off) and the cutouts are all lined up with the camera, USB, etc. However, the case barely fits around the bezel and it fits the face of the phone unevenly so you can see the bezel on one side but not the other side. The last point about the fit is that the phone feels like it could pop out of the case if you squeezed the sides; this is a very unsettling feeling. A case should make you feel more secure not less and it shouldn't detract from the quality appearance of this device.
Second, the feel: The case feels much too thin along the sides, the corners feel nice and thick as they should be to protect the phone. The sides however offer little in the way of protection. It just feels cheap and not nearly thick enough to offer much protection.
Third, the function: I bought a case to protect the phone from damage in the event it is dropped. I want protection around the bezel and the sides and back of the phone. The Amzer case only seems to protect the Vibrant on the corners where this case is thicker. I feel like if I dropped the phone and it landed on the side there would be little to prevent the phone from being damaged.
Needless to say I was disappointed when I tried the Amzer on my Vibrant this afternoon. So much so that I immediately called Amazon to arrange for its return. I have the Gel Case from Tmobile which by comparison is vastly superior although 55% more in price.
In this case you get what you pay for. And I do not want to skimp on protection a device as valuable as the Vibrant. Let's see, save $6 on a case for a $500 phone? No way, not when it's ugly when installed, feels cheap and insecure in the hand, and offers less protection. The Tmobile case fits snugly, wraps evenly around the bezel, is thicker to better protect the phone in the event of an impact.
I give this case 1 out 5 stars. The Tmobile Gel Case gets 4.5 stars.

Liking the music sound quality (out of the 3.5mm) on your Droid X. Since I use my phone as my primary music playing device, SQ is critical. (I typically listen with super high quality in-ear monitors - Shure SE530;s.) I haven't had a chance yet to A/B with my iPhone 3G (which sounded pretty damn good!) but so far, I'm reasonably impressed with the DX audio.

I had a Body Glove one for my previous phone, a Samsung Glyde, worst phone ever made BTW, and it broke within 2 months, and I had another similar one for my Droid, the first one broke in less than a month and the one the store replaced it with broke in just over 2 months. I got a Droid 2 car dock based on the recent video and it does not work with the protective case. I have the protective case that Verizon sells with the criss-cross pattern on it. I don't see any other markings to identify it more clearly.
I need a solution where I can dock the Droid in the car (with power to the Droid) while still in the case. Does anyone know of a combination that works? I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this specific request.

I am three weeks out of warranty now and they refused to replace the top. I like my case, but I will never buy a Seidio again. What good is a case if the top doesn't stay on after 4 months? I hope the otterbox case i try next will be better.
