I just purchased a Droid yesterday and will have it tommorow (upgrading from a Blackberry 8330) and I carry my phone on my hip. I'd prefer a holster over a clip and was wondering what everyone else uses and how do you like your current one? Thanks in advance and add another one to the android converts!

I may be purchasing a Droid soon. One thing that worries me a little is the GPS/Dock function that "activates" when you dock it in the media or car dock. From what I understand this triggers due to magnets that the Droid senses.
I use a leather money clip that holds like 10 cards then has a clip with a magnet in it to hold bills. (See picture).
My concern is that if I keep the Dtoid in my right pocket with my wallet it's going to activate and start draining the battery like crazy. As the phone would be too big to fit in the small "change" pocket on jeans that I used to use for my LG Voyager and previous phones it has me a little worried how I'm going to tote it around. I may buy one of those glasses cleaning clothes and wrap it in that, but the magnetic portion could still be an issue.
I've done this several times with the W key on the keyboard. When I'm typing really fast and drag my fingers to type "saw" for example with just my left thumb I'll catch the bottom left of the W key while the A is pressed down and it'll lift up and make a popping noise. I'm worried eventually I'll snap the W off the keyboard.

I got a Droid 2 car dock based on the recent video and it does not work with the protective case. I have the protective case that Verizon sells with the criss-cross pattern on it. I don't see any other markings to identify it more clearly.
I need a solution where I can dock the Droid in the car (with power to the Droid) while still in the case. Does anyone know of a combination that works? I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this specific request.
Just wondering if there can ever be a protective case made for the Droid. I understand it is a slider and I've never had a slider before. Done a google search and came up with nothing.

I am three weeks out of warranty now and they refused to replace the top. I like my case, but I will never buy a Seidio again. What good is a case if the top doesn't stay on after 4 months? I hope the otterbox case i try next will be better.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFirst one broke 2 weeks ago I don't know what from but I've never dropped the phone with the case on and next thing I know I took it out of my pocket and the face plate was broken in the top right corner.This evening as I was walking home with my phone and case on it that I just got replaced about 5 days ago I dropped my phone screen down first, I thought it was done. Luckily it was safe though again the face plate is broken on my case.
I'm getting yet another replacement from Otterbox which is good..Really wish I could get a refund or voucher to use on their site for the cost of the case.
Is there really good case for the droid that's stylish but still offers protection? Also if I bought a OEM verizon case could I buy a armband case and still leave the phone in the case and put it in the armband and ride?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo far I have been quite unhappy with my Seidio Innocase for my droid. I have the Sapphire blue case, but have gone through about 5 of them through RMA's. My top half of the case always seems to progresively get looser and looser has time goes on. They have shipped me brand new cases that are supposed to fit better then the old ones. They always start off nice and tight, but slowly get looser and looser. Anyone else having trouble with this? Im tempted now to completely return it all together because RMA's are a real pain.So anyone have any suggestions for a different case that they love for their phone? I have tried the plastic hard shells from Verizon but those were terrible, other then that I am open to suggestions.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Droid not too long ago, and decided to go with the hard case/hoslter combo; the stupid thing SQUEAKS when I remove my Droid, however. Anybody figure out a simple fix to this issue, or even where it's squeaking? I'd rather not oil the case and I've tried bending it out a little to fix rubbing issues, but to no avail. That notwithstanding, does anyone have a really awesome holster that works well? Either vertical or horizontal works for me, though it needs to hook to a belt (obviously).
View 13 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I am not saying that I prefer the iPhone over the Droid X at all. HOWEVER, I am terribly jealous over their cases!! I haven't seen the iPhone 4 cases, but for iPhone 3G and 3GS, their cases are just sweet.
