I am not a fan of the stock Android UI, and I really like HTC's SenseUI. Just thought I'd ask if there is a port of SenseUI for the Droid. By the way, I know that there is a SenseUI theme for ShadowROM. I am running that on my phone now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSomehow I got my phone to go into a landscape mode home screen, I'm running 2.1 v2 and I've had the phone for almost 5 months and I've never seen this happen, and now I can't make it happen again. Turning it on its side does nothing to the home screen. Has anybody else seen this? The phone was just an icon and everything seemed to look fine, like it was meant to be landscaped.

But I have noticed that when using app killers sometimes (maybe 1 out of 10 times) When I kill all apps my SenseUI restarts. So I've started looking at the apps that are being killed before killing them to see if I could find out what is causing this but everything seems to be normal and I cant figure out why this is happening.

I was in the IRC room the other day, and was told by a couple of users that they had tried a few things and it wasn't possible.
Then today I was playing around the forums and Disabled SenseUI to check out the Android Home, for shits and giggles no attempt to keep it.
I set a background in Home, which spanned all 3 Home pages... when scrolling thru it actually looked like you were moving along a Image 3x the width of one screen.
When I went back to SenseUI.... that same background was there on all 6 pages no copies at all.....
Any1 kno how to make our on like this and install it on the phone? What would the resolution be on one page or multiple pages?
I'm currently using bugless beast v0.9 but i really like the transparent widget of another rom (DesireRemix). is there anyway to get the power/music widgets from that rom onto my current rom? or is the only way to switch roms and use the other one?

I figured it could be possible with root but wasn't sure. I have tried a couple of apps from the market and they seem a little sluggish to me, and I hate the 2.2 locksreen on the phone. When I sbf'd back to 2.1 the other day the locksreen was so much better and makes me want it.

I am curious to know if anyone has tried attaching a keyboard, controller or remote through the Micro USB port yet. Is there any apps yet to allow this? I think I may try and order a cheap Mini USB Game Controller with a Micro USB Adapter and see if I can use it to play games through one of my Emulators. If anyone has already tried this please let me know. Being able to use this Micro USB to output video is also a question I have. If anyone has discovered anything cool with this Micro USB port feel free to share.

I need help from Motorola Droid owners to port it to that phone.The app gets the network statistics data by reading pseudo-files /sys/ class/net/xxxx/statistics/rx_bytes and tx_bytes. "xxx" is the network interface name, which depends on the platform (or rather, the maker), e.g. for HTC phones it is "rmnet0", "pdp0" for Samsung..I'm looking for the name used by the Droid. I'm not sure if this is the problem - but it could be...sorry for the long post, but could REALLY use your help - and this is the best place to find it! Last night I hooked up my Droid to charge on this charger: Amazon.com: Lenmar ACUSB4 AC Travel Adapter for up to 4 USB Powered Devices (Black): Electronics.I went and checked on it later and it was turned off. This was after about 2 hours. The power button wouldn't work and I had to pull the battery to get it to turn on.
So I was thinking that maybe the charger wasn't good enough. Granted, it's not rated all that high but reviews have people charging an iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, and Kindle all at once with it.
It has the 5V output but a lower MA rating (I think 300ma input is what it says). I have another single port charger that only has 500ma (before people come in and say you NEED 800ma or whatever) and it works fine. Anyhow, I tried to replicate the problem by plugging it back into the charger (I wanted to see if it was the charger, or something I did, like set it down too hard...as I have the business card under the battery trick for the back case, thought maybe I dislodged it and was covering the leads or something), and after 8.5 hours, no problems. Fully charged, it was on this morning when I woke.I would REALLY prefer to have a multiple USB charger (even if it costs 50 bucks or more) because I travel a TON and have a bunch of USB devices (6+) that need charged.
It didn't happen right away after I updated but suddenly I started getting messages about rosi something and then HTC sense stopped suddenly force close. I used a rooted update OTA.

I find it amusing how many Senseless ROMS are popping up. The majority of all ROMS thus far are Senseless and I don't really get it. The main reason I sold my MotoDroid to get the HTC Incredible was for SenseUI and now everybody is wanting to ditch it. I need more Sense ROMs to play with and theres just nothing to choose from. SO I figured I would start a poll and see if I am the only one. So is it a Sense or Senseless ROM preference?
