I used the option in batching Titanium Backup to move apps and data to my sdcard to save some space. I've decided I want to move it back so that it's available when I press the Launcher. I know where it's stored on the sdcard and I have root explorer, but I'm just not sure which folder to move it back to in the first place. which folder houses all the apps that are currently available via the Launcher?
View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently, I have a Thunderbolt, but I'm planning on buying a Galaxy Nexus whenever that becomes available. Thing is, I have a few games I'm playing, and while I know I can simply redownload the games from the market on my new phone, is there any way I can also transfer the save data? I don't want to have to start all the way at the beginning, with games like Angry Birds, Cut The Rope, Symphony of Eternity, etc.
For what it's worth, my phone is not rooted.
I have a Galaxy S4 (rooted) and just bought a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (Afraid to root because I don't want to loose warranty)
I restored all my apps on my tablet but all my Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies and all other game data is missing from the tablet.
First, is there a way to restore this game data to the tablet WITHOUT root?
Preferably, I would like to seamlessly sync the game data between the 2 devices. It would be great to play a level of any game on my phone and then pick up at the same spot on my tablet. Is this possible?
I have a puzzle game with a 7x7 grid of graphics, and a timer, its just about ready to go. But I am stuck on how to go about saving/continuing game. For example when someone exits I want them to be able to save and exit, then come back and click continue to pick up where they left off with all of the graphics in the right place, timer and score. I looked at onSaveInstanceState android examples, but not sure if this is what I need or how to implement it in my case.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Moto G 8GB which is running very low on storage (only about 800mb left). This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been browsing around in the app store and noticed that a lot of the apps need some personal data in order to run. It makes me feel uneasy.
For example for launcher pro, it will have access to:
my messages (read gmail, sms) personal information (read contact data) storage (my sd card) services that cost you money(directly call phone numbers)
I just activated my new X.I signed into my Google account and all contacts restored but no apps.I went to the market and only the paid apps are showing. How do I get the free apps back.I have "My backup pro" backups on my Droid SD card. Can I copy the backups to the X SD card and restore from that? Will it try to overwrite the paid apps I already installed? Will the restored apps show up in the market as downloads?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat is the difference between these two apps? I am planning on rooting eventually and DL'd My Backup Pro and made backups of my apps and data on my SD card. Am I going to regret not getting Titanium Backup, or are they basically the same? Also, is what I did sufficient backup; backing up apps and data to my SD card? Or is there something else I am missing?

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I want to upgrade my Droid from the older 2.0.1 build of Pete's Bugless Beast ROM (1.2) to the newer ESE53 based 0.8 version. What I want to know is how to keep all of my data and apps and stuff when I make the upgrade, because according to his instructions you have to use his nandroid backup to go from the older 1.2 BB to the new 0.8 BB. I tried following his instructions once before, and while I was able to successfully upgrade to the newer ROM, I lost all of my apps and data and ended up just restoring from one of my own nandroid backups back to 1.2.

I recently joined the Android community with my purchase of the Moto Droid. After a few days, I became interested in the rooting process and gave it a go... upgrading to Froyo. There have been several ROMs I've tried out, but I'm very hesitant to try more due to backups.
Will somebody provide me (in words or a link) the best way to backup all of my applications and data when testing out a new ROM? I tried Titanium Backup (and even donated), yet I never have successfully restored from a backup. Some applications and system data restore, but a ton of apps don't install, and I have to re-enter my email accounts (and appropriate sync settings) every time. This and the number of apps it doesn't restore (especially Swype) makes it not worth messing around with.
I read something about Nandroid backup, but that just looked like it was a backup in case something went terribly wrong with a ROM or something of the sort. Also, it looked like in the Simply Stunning (ChevyNo1) 4.2, there was a built in backup script... but I'd like to be able to venture between ROMs.
I want to be able to backup all of my apps and system data (gmail accounts, sms, etc), install a new ROM, and reload all of my apps and data.
Has anyone found any good games out there?
All of the games I have downloaded are crap. Its like playing Atari all over again.
I recently got an ipad and was wondering if there was a way to transfer my game save for injustice to it from my android phone so I don't have to start all over again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have downloaded a game called trainz, which requires me to download 300+ MB data. I have a samsung galaxy young s6312. I have downloaded the game with the data on this mobile. Recently I got a note 2. I want to play this game on my note 2. But i don't want to download the data all over again. Is there a solution by which I can copy the data folder from my old device to my new one?
I already tried copying the com.nv3games.trainz folder (size 318 mb) from my old device to the obb folder of my new device, which didn't work. I also tried copying it to the data folder of my new device, which also didn't work. The Game was still asking me to download the data. Both devices are rooted, so any solution which requires root will be ok.
I recently uninstalled Dungeon Keeper so I could start a new game since I messed up with my first one, but when I installed it again my old game showed up. How do I completely remove all saved game data to start fresh?
