I recently uninstalled Dungeon Keeper so I could start a new game since I messed up with my first one, but when I installed it again my old game showed up. How do I completely remove all saved game data to start fresh?

I have OPTIMUS 2x and if I plan to sell it, I want to remove my personal data from it. I know that external SD cards can be formatted with different (repeating format and data overwriting techniques) but my phone has internal 16gb which has some personal data in it. I can format it but the data will still be there? How can I completely remove my data without effecting the system data.

One day I installed a beta firmware for the G2/vision. The beta gave my phone a weird glitch where any apps that I installed would instantly force close afted I restarted the phone, but it would work fine if it was uninstalled and reinstalled. I installed the new firmware and now newly installed apps work. And everything I mean every rom's contents, busybox, scripts, etc. I once use one GB rom and it can run NFS Most Wanted very smooth, but after playing with scripts/tweaks too much, it turn out that the game lag more than before. So, I want to completely wipe everything and start over. Does the "Full Wipe" (Wipe data/factory reset+Wipe Cache+Wipe Dalvik cache+Format system+data+cache) do the job? So, here's the thing: I want to sell the phone to a friend of mine, but I don't want (neither does he) to reset to factory because he wants a large amount of the apps I have already installed and it is part of the price.
So, I ask you: Is there a way to completely remove-uninstall an app and ALL of its data so that there is no way for the app to have MY data displayed, and basically the app is "reseted' to factory, so that my friend can use from scratch?
recently i installed a v6supercharger on my phone.. but i think it messed up. i think i skipped some of the instructions.

Even when you remove the little back rubber/plastic cover for the USB connection plug, it still stays attached to the phone and dangles. I am thinking of completely removing it from the phone. Can I do so without damaging it? Can I re-attach it if I change my mind later?

How do you delete and completely remove the preinstalled FACEBOOK Application from a HTC Hero Android phone? I just got my Sprint HTC Hero Android phone and I noticed that it comes preloaded with FACEBOOK. While I know that most people would consider that great, I don't. Do to my job, I am prohibited from using FACEBOOK or MYSPACE and therefore, would have absolutly no use for the application. Please let me know how I can safely delete it so that I can free up memory on my HTC Hero.

Yes I've wiped in cwm installed different ROMs cleared everything restored from RUU but using the app Diskdigger I can always find files & everything that I've already deleted. If it is not present on local system then it downloads it from FTP server. Application must download file from FTP server when it executes first time after getting installed.
If we reinstall the application , android preserves the data of old application .So now application finds the file on local system and does not download it from FTP server. But it should always download the file on first execution after fresh install. Is there any way to completely wipe out the previous application data on fresh install? Is there any registry or some location where an application can store data and it gets automatically wiped out when application is uninstalled?
I turned the phone off, Removed the battery, removed the SD Card. Then I replaced the card, replaced the battery and turned the phone on. The phone gave an error saying "The SD Card has been removed. Insert a new one."
The card is now blank? What happened?
The only thing that gets on my nerves is this "game of the day"widget that appears on my home screen every other day. If I ckick it, it takes me to the App store. I have to manually remove it which bothers me. I have no idea how to stop it. is this some official Google thing, that's part of Android? I don't think it's something Acer put on the tablet, because today's app wasn't even compatible w/ my device.

I want to make sure that SIM2 never, ever connects to the Internet, though I do want to use it for calls and SMSs.
Under Settings, I can't find any setting for enabling/disabling data completely per-sim. (There is an option for enabling/disabling data *roaming* per sim). There _is_ a setting under Data Usage for putting a limit for data consumption: there you can set a warning threshold and a limit. However, while the warning can be set to 0MB, the lowest value you can set for the limit is 1MB (I know, so stupid...).
Up to now, I haven't detected any data usage on sim2, but my fear is that at any moment when the data network for sim1 may become temporarily unavailable for any reason, sim2 may be used for data. Even if I have set the 1MB limit, sim2's operator will charge me a fixed amount per week if I use non-zero data.
So how do I disable data completely for sim2 while keeping data enabled for sim1 and keeping sim2 enabled for voice and sms?
I made a beta-version of a game which at the beginning was a testing- version. I solved more and more errors and made it faster and faster. Now I am getting to the point that it isn't a beta-version anymore. I have customers who like my free game and I also have old bad comments that my game was not working. Should I remove my beta-version and upload a completely new application to enhance my rating? (All my last comments were good) Or is there a possibility to remove old ratings?
I think it would be much better if the google-market will not include ratings of old versions into the total rating, because apps and versions change over time! Why doesn't google do this and how can I give this advice to google?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm having some major issues after upgrading from my old Class 2 (Samsung) 16 GB SD card to a new 64 GB class 10. The card seems fine, holds data and can read/write just fine.
I was able to transfer over everything in the ANDROID folder, but when it comes to pictures and other odds and ends, I can transfer them all PC side, but when I plug it into the phone, the files are either all deleted, all corrupt (and then deleted by the file system) or partially corrupt. It is tested while in the PC and the files are not corrupt.
I even tried doing a direct image from the old SD card to the new. (using HDD raw copy tool). Verified all files were there to the kilobyte - Put the SD card in phone and poof! Most of the files, especially everything under DCIM, gone.
Is this a 4.4 issue? A transfer method issue? Or possibly a card issue? I am on Verizon GS5 and cannot root, but want to store as much of my data on the SD card as possible..
