Motorola Droid :: Titanium Backup - Move Apps Data To Sdcard To Save Some Space

Sep 2, 2010

I used the option in batching Titanium Backup to move apps and data to my sdcard to save some space. I've decided I want to move it back so that it's available when I press the Launcher. I know where it's stored on the sdcard and I have root explorer, but I'm just not sure which folder to move it back to in the first place. which folder houses all the apps that are currently available via the Launcher?

I installed latest version of Titanium Backup (6.0.5). But I don't know how to move apps to sd card. There is only solution for older versions of "tb" on the Internet.

Motorola Droid :: Titanium Backup - Save Contacts

Aug 16, 2010

Trying to learn all I can about the Rooted Droid. I've tried a couple of great ROMS, but each time I download and install a new one, I'm following the instructions and wiping everything. Although I thought I'd backed up appropriately with Titanium, my contacts always revert back to when I first bought the phone - they obviously didn't get backed up. Am I just missing something in Titanium, or is there a better way to save contacts and things like that? Also, are all of you literally starting from scratch each time you reboot with a new ROM - i.e. Are you literally having to start the "Welcome to the Droid", signin to Gmail, etc. screens or am I the only one?

Jelly Bean :: Titanium Backup Doesn't Have Option To Move Apps To SD?

Jan 29, 2014

Ok so I rooted my phone and installed SuperUser and Titanium Backup (paid version). My main reason was to free up some space.I clear the cache almost daily, am using just a few apps and have deleted anything that would actually make the phone any fun (like cool widgets or useful yet non-basic apps. I have no games on it. I have googled "how to move apps to SD with Titanium Backup" dozens of times in the past month and read that it's under "batch options" a thousand times. However, for the life of me I can NOT see an option under the 4th section "Move/Integrate" for anything remotely related to MOVING APPS TO SD. The only thing it shows on that category is "Integrate updates of system apps into ROM".

I have a huge external SD plugged in where ALL my pictures, screenshots, downloads, music and videos are stored. The external SD is not even half full. Yet, my 4.44GB internal memory is filled nearly to capacity with only 274MB free.

I constantly get the STORAGE SPACE RUNNING LOW message and my available space is invariably under 380MB.

WHAT CAN I DO??? I'm about to give up on Android alltogether.

I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the main apps I'm using which I think take up the most space are GMail, Whatsapp, Google Maps, Androind Weather and Camera360.

HTC EVO 4G :: Titanium Backup - Backing Up All Apps/data

Nov 30, 2010

Many people recommend a complete data wipe between flashing roms, and i assume the preferred method of backing up all the apps/data is titanium. my first question is, when restoring all backups is there a way to not have to press "install" then "done" for every app it's restoring? like a fully automated process?

Motorola Droid :: Restoring Data / Nandroid Vs Titanium Backup

Feb 23, 2010

I have a question regarding restoring data after flashing to a new ROM (Bugless Beast) via a nandroid backup. I know I have the update.zip option, but that seems to introduce issues for some that I want to avoid. Now, I know I have a few options. I can batch backup apps and data with Titanium Backup, then wipe, install the new build, and then restore via Titanium. Or, I can do a nandroid backup of my phone, wipe, install the new build, and then restore only the data partition of my first backup. My question is, are either of these methods any different from just using the update.zip version of BB? For example, when I upgraded from BB .7.8 to 1.0, I lost root and had to do a full wipe and I just manually reinstalled everything. Will doing the data partition restore or titanium backup restore result in the same issues?

Motorola Droid X :: Restoring Apps With Titanium Backup

Oct 14, 2010

So I did a batch backup with Titanium and when I went to restore on a new ROM I was trying (first time I'm trying this), when restoring all of the apps, it didn't do it automatically? Like I was reloading a bunch of apps, and it prompted me for EACH APP. Is there a way to just press restore on a batch I backed up, and it just puts everything on the phone that I selected? It took a long time sitting there and pressing ok after each app.

Will titanium backup restore the market links with the apps so that I can still receive market updates?

I want to change ROMS without having to make a list of my current apps and reinstall each one. But I still want the ability to restore and get updates for all the apps I have.

And one other question, when I backup my apps, and then do a nandroid restore I assume Titanium backup will need to be reinstalled. Once I do this will I still be able to restore the apps from the SD card?

General :: How To Move /data To SDCard Using Extended Partition

Sep 29, 2013

I have a Mocordroid with scp6820a cpu rooted

First some objections:

1- The sdcard is used in vfat filesystem, move simplely /data folder to sdcard will be cause some problems
2- Copy /data to /mnt/sdcard/data will not work completly because we got some error of permission

Code:
adb shell

Code:
cp -r /data /mnt/sdcard
cp: can't create directory '/mnt/sdcard/data/misc/bluetoothd/FA:2B:B7:4E:90:59': Invalid argument
cp: can't create symlink '/mnt/sdcard/data/data/org.mariotaku.twidere/lib': Operation not permitted
cp: can't create '/mnt/sdcard/data/data/com.estrongs.android.pop/files/comm/tool_port': Operation not permitted
cp: can't create symlink '/mnt/sdcard/data/data/com.toss.removeappwidget/lib': Operation not permitted

[Code] .....

So first thing i change size of sdcard, decreasing the partition size, and add a second partition with 3 Gbytes using ext2. To do this

Unmount the sdcard in settings>storage>unmount sdcard. I need discover where is the partitions

Code:

fdisk /dev/block/mmcblk0

[Code] ....

For secure i reboot device, and umount card again. So format the second partition

Code:
mke2fs -t ext2 -m0 -b4096 /dev/block/mmcblk0p2

And reboot again. This was hopeful action that it would recognize the card. But not ...

Code:
# mkdir /mnt/sdext
mount -t ext2 /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 /mnt/sdext
mount: No such device
mount -t ext2 /dev/block/vold/179:2 /mnt/sdext
mount: No such device

In My Epic Fail I was not successful

BEFORE that I wrote i try several tentactivies, apps but i m thinking that use adb will be the more better.

What is the best way, my internal device have less than 200 MB internal, so is too little !!! Maybe i will need change fstab or init scripts.

Motorola Droid X :: Backup Of Titanium Backup APK

Sep 30, 2010

I have the root app Titanium Backup. When I root my friends' phones, I like giving them all my root apps with a quick transfer of my SD card app backups from AppControl.

BUT, I have never been able to find the backup file for Titanium Backup. I realize they can just download it from the Market, but where I work I get no service so I can't download it for hours for them.

Does AppControl or even Titanium Backup itself actually back up Titanium Backup? It seems almost like they skip over the APK because I can never find any backed up APK files that have the words "Titanium" or "Backup" in it. I've never been able to find the file!
