Motorola Droid :: Play Mp3 From SD Card With Rhapsody?
Feb 15, 2010Can anyone that is using the Rhapsody Beta play manually transferred mp3's to the SD card on their Droid?
If so, how?
My Rhapsody Application on the Droid will only see Mp3's on the SD card that I have purchased and downloaded with the phone.
Any Mp3's that I manually transferred from the desktop pc to the Droid Music folder will not be seen by the Droid Rhapsody application (Even though I downloaded the Mp3's with Rhapsody on my desktop pc).
Android :: Playing YouTube Clips
Feb 7, 2009Most of the time when I click on a link to a YouTube clip it takes me to the YouTube web page where it tells me I need to have flash installed. I'm pretty sure once I clicked a link and it gave me the option to open it in a browser or the YouTube app, but now I'm no longer getting that option. Is there a way to make YouTube videos open in the app everytime?

Nov 29, 2010Can I get my Droid video clips off of my phone and onto my PC? I bought a SanDisk card reader usb port, put my SD card in it and plugged it into my PC. It doesn't show the video clips or "camera" pictures. I'd like to get some of this stuff off my phone and onto my PC.

Aug 1, 2010When I am listening to the music app, or btunes, or mix zing; about one in four times I turn the screen off, the music stops playing. I've tried turning of my task killer, but to no avail. At first, I had a second issue as well: the music would play for only about 15 mins then stop, however, I managed to figure out that that was the 'Data-Off' timer I had set for the battery's 'Smart Mode' (though I'm not sure what data has to do with playing music stored locally). Nevertheless, swapping to 'Performance Mode' solved that. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out why a quarter of the time I turn the screen off, it kills the music.

Dec 18, 2009Is there any way to play Streaming radio stations other than apps built for specific services (like Pandora/last.fm/slacker/imeem).To clarify, I mean online radio stations, that use .pls files to play streams. Some also have plugin players, but since Flash isn't on the Droid yet I'm not too worried about them. But it seems like it ought to be possible to play streaming .pls files.I tried to download one and it said it couldn't be downloaded because the size could not be determined.

Oct 10, 2010I got my DX on Wednesday and I was trying to put some music on. I plugged my phone into the laptop with the USB cable and dragged the music from Itunes. Achtung Baby by U2 was from a CD that I put on Itunes and The Suburbs by Arcade Fire was from a zip file that I got online. I played the music and everything was working fine.
Then I tried to add more music and the S### hit the fan. I tried to put like 15 album on, most of the songs came from Limewire which I dragged from Itunes. So the music player wasn't playing anything, saying that it cant recognize any of the files.

Jan 31, 2010I've downloaded a few videos on my computer and they are mp4 format. I pulled them from my computer onto my phone however when I go to open them up from astro as a video there is only audio. They play fine on my computer as mp4s.

May 2, 2010I have a kenwood dnx6140 headunit that has a handful of features(bluetooth, navigation, yada yada....I have a handsfree voice system aswell which i use regularly with my droid which runs on bluetooth with no problems.....Heres the good stuff...When i try to play pandora or slacker via bluetooth it works but its very bumpy or skippy so i cant clearly hear the music....I dnt know why.?

Dec 1, 2009I have a 2010 Mazda 3 w/ Bluetooth and an auxillary output--I have had no problems w/ the Bluetooth as far as receiving and making phone calls and I play my iPod thru the auxillary system all the time...I just got the Droid 2 weeks ago and downloaded Pandora this past weekend--I can't get it to play thru the Bluetooth (even though the little music symbol shows that it is paired) and I can't play it thru my Droid hooked up thru the auxillary system either.

Jul 19, 2010I put the movie Hot Tub Time Machine (.avi) onto my Droid X. Plugged the DX into my computer, selected USB on the phone, and went into DCIM -> Camera -> and dropped Hot Tub Time Machine into there. Now when I play it on my phone it freezes after like 4 secs and the sound goes off.
However, when I go into "edit video" on my phone, I can watch the entire thing with the edit panel and everything. Weird huh? But it wont let me watch it correctly by hitting "play"?

Sep 27, 2010I'm the proud owner of a month old Droid 2, but the damn thing keeps freezing or locks up completely when I play my music on it - sometimes it even restarts on its own. It doesn't matter if I'm playing my own MP3's or Pandora. While at work this happens maybe 3 to 5 times a day (docked to a desk/home charger from Verizon) and it's really frustrating. I noticed this started happening once my phone updated to 2.2.20 a few weeks ago. Just this past weekend I took it to my local Verizon dealer. They said they updated the PRL and this often corrects the problem. I got the phone home and it locked up immediately. I've restarted repeatedly, removed the SD card and battery but still no change. Any suggestions? This will be my fourth replacement if I need to take it back and have it replaced.

Aug 23, 2010first the M4A file issues: Since i have been upgraded to 2.2, I can no longer play m4a files NOR files imported into iTunes from my own cd and then put on my phone. I get an error saying, this file type is not supported. Obviously the error is self describing by why did Android stop supporting these file. What am I supposed to do now? if these files are DRM free why would Android have a problem playing them. do they want to push their own music service. If so, thats fine, but thats not even out yet. Most of my searches on this topic come up unanswered. ALSO, when I go to play a song in mSpot, it starts to download and then it says "There was an error during song playback" I can play the song on the mspot website, but not through the app. Anyone else a little peeved by this update for these reasons?
