View 7 RepliesI was customizing my phone with Launcherpro, i changed the number of colums on my homescreen, and now the phone just keeps forcing close of launcherpro. I cant get past it, reset the phone and it came back right away! I hope this thing isnt bricked! Battery is sitting next to the phone for the next 15 minutes, crossing my fingers!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a droid running BB 1.1 with Bekit's 1ghz kernel and Set CPU.
The problem I am having is that when I play Robo Defense my CPU Temp goes over 50 degrees Celsius and goes to my failsafe speed of 600 MHZ. Is this normal or is my failsafe temp just too conservative? Should I just clock it down a little for gaming? That would seem kinda counter-productive, to clock down for the most demanding thing I do but I guess it might be worth it VS overheating.
Also, which should I worry about more, the CPU or battery temp? I've seen posts saying that the battery actually has a much lower safe temp range, but I'm a little worried about the keyboard soaking heat from the CPU and coming unglued. I saw a picture of that and I'm not sure if overclocking was the cause but it seems possible, my keyboard is HOT when the CPU hits 50c
Sorry if this has been asked a lot before, I did try a search but didn't come up with anything regarding overheats during games.
Worked perfect in my car every day until I installed the update, now it connects and doesn't send any audio to the car... just keeps playing through the phone speaker. Wtf happened?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've looked for an answer to this question but couldn't find one anywhere. I have the Facebook app installed on my Droid and have the settings set to send me notifications for all possible things, but the app itself seems to refuse to update on its own or send me any notifications what-so-ever. Is there anyway to get it to actually refresh on its own and notify me?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor about 2 days I haven't been getting email and text message notifications. I have reset them several times using the settings option on the menu button. Unlike he BB I have been using I haven't found a "SAVE" option after making changes. Only an OK option. Am I missing something?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid (froyo, not rooted) on Verizon, and I use it to access 5 email accounts (yes, all are necessary). Two accounts are through Gmail, and the rest are non-google accounts using IMAP.Here's the issue: I use multiple devices to check my email, but when an email has been read on another device, the Droid notification stays on the phone. Basically my Droid shows email notifications every time I turn the screen on, even if all the mail has already been read somewhere else. Is there any way to set up the Droid so that the notifications are removed once emails have been marked as Read on the server? I don't think there is any stock functionailty for this, but was wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction (maybe an app?) It may seem silly for some of you, but this prevents me from having to clear my notifications every time I'm about to get up from my desk, otherwise I never know if the notification on my phone is for new email or old email, and I'm on my phone all the time trying to figure that out so I don't miss something important.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSome custom ROMs have different ringtones. I have a "Ringtones" folder on my SD with my own, but the ROMs carry theirs internally and once you change ROMs, so do the ringtones. I haven't looked yet, but would they possibly be in the ROM zip file and could I just pull them out of the zip to my computer? I guess I will look now, but let me know if this is the right way or if something else works better. Ultimately I would like to pull off all system ringtones so I can condense to my own and ones I have selected. It's overwhelming sometimes given that I don't and won't ever use 70% of the stock tones.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know if you can set Google Voice Lite on my droid to not send so many notifications. I love the program, but when someone leaves a message, I get a text, email, and the google voice icon all in the notification bar.
I am using my old verizon cell number and just using the google voice for the messaging function.
I just would want the google voice icon to light up and then i can go right to the program.
Does anyone know how to get the stock wallpaper back once you have changed it?
I could never get it back when I was stock, is that possible now?
Is there anyway to change the settings so that notifications don't interrupt when its playing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone know why they changed the functionality of this? You used to be able to press volume down all the way from loud, to vibrate, to silent (which would not vibrate). Now it either bottoms out at vibrate with certain settings, or skips vibrate and goes to silent. This annoys me because I have to actually go into settings now to put it in silent mode (since I have it set on always vibrate). I've yet to find a combination in the new sound settings to restore the functionality to what it was previously in 2.1. Anyone else running into this "issue", or know a combination that is the same as before?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI had been using ebuddy for IMs on the Droid since I got the phone but was really having a horrible time with battery life. Well this morning I downloaded Meebo to give it a try and I must say it appears that ebuddy was the source of my battery problems. I have had Meebo on all day and my battery is at 90 percent so it appears that it uses a lot less energy than ebuddy does. Give it a try if you've been having battery issues and have been using ebuddy.

Has anyone checked the vocode setting following the update? I'm sure it would have addressed call quality, but I was wondering if signal reception has improved (if an issue for you previously) based on that change, or any others.
I am generating the random numbers and do some functionality with that .but when i change the orientation new random numbers are coming. But I want portrait random numbers. For this give me some suggestions.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am listening to the music app, or btunes, or mix zing; about one in four times I turn the screen off, the music stops playing. I've tried turning of my task killer, but to no avail. At first, I had a second issue as well: the music would play for only about 15 mins then stop, however, I managed to figure out that that was the 'Data-Off' timer I had set for the battery's 'Smart Mode' (though I'm not sure what data has to do with playing music stored locally). Nevertheless, swapping to 'Performance Mode' solved that. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out why a quarter of the time I turn the screen off, it kills the music.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to play Streaming radio stations other than apps built for specific services (like Pandora/last.fm/slacker/imeem).To clarify, I mean online radio stations, that use .pls files to play streams. Some also have plugin players, but since Flash isn't on the Droid yet I'm not too worried about them. But it seems like it ought to be possible to play streaming .pls files.I tried to download one and it said it couldn't be downloaded because the size could not be determined.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my DX on Wednesday and I was trying to put some music on. I plugged my phone into the laptop with the USB cable and dragged the music from Itunes. Achtung Baby by U2 was from a CD that I put on Itunes and The Suburbs by Arcade Fire was from a zip file that I got online. I played the music and everything was working fine.
Then I tried to add more music and the S### hit the fan. I tried to put like 15 album on, most of the songs came from Limewire which I dragged from Itunes. So the music player wasn't playing anything, saying that it cant recognize any of the files.
I don't have time to dig in right now, and will this weekend if I need to but, is there an app out that will stream the following two URLs:

I've downloaded a few videos on my computer and they are mp4 format. I pulled them from my computer onto my phone however when I go to open them up from astro as a video there is only audio. They play fine on my computer as mp4s.
