Hey guys I remember on my iPhone I used to be able to split up video while sending a text with video attached to a friend. It would say video is too long and let you choose a portion that would be able to send. Is there an app or maybe I'm missing something because I am using Handscent for texting.

I just need to know if it is possible at all to edit video taken with our Incredible (ex. shorten, decrease size, split into separate videos, etc.). I've searched the Market and can't find any app to edit videos. Because the resolution is so large, it is difficult and in some cases impossible to send a video via SMS, MMS or email because of its size. The smallest video setting is 1MB, which at the lowest resolution, is only 9 seconds long. That's horrible. I want to be able to record a regular video and edit it. Please help if anyone knows whether or not this is possible. By the way, despite the issues everyone else may have, I luv this phone...had it since day 2 of pre-order launch and never thought twice about returning it.

Apparently, the Android system groups these together; I can assign a different tone for regular email, but not gmail, as the Android system groups them under "notifications." Is there an app out there for this?

View 45 Replies View RelatedI've had to send my phone back twice in the past month, initial issue was a weak vibrate motor and a difficult to press power button. Phone came back with a replaced mainboard but had to send the phone back right away as it wouldn't go into landscape mode (I determined it was a defective accelerometer). If I have to send it back a third time, I'm going to be absolutely livid.
I noticed (for the first time yesterday), that if the phone has <15% battery left and I use the pull down menu, the red LED with give a very quick flash that is not like the standard red LED flash when the battery is low. It will do this if you push on the top bar to activate the drop down menu and also if you completely swipe to bring the drop down menu down. However, doing any other actions such as pressing the captive buttons or scrolling will not cause the LED to flash briefly.
I have a Motorola Droid and the latest release of Android (Froyo 2.2).My question is I want to send a music video that is going to a Non-Android phone. This phone can play videos and is a standard Verizon branded phone. The video has already been converted to the standard .3gp format from my PC which uses Roxio 2010 Video converter. I have the following Apps installed to assist me:Astro File Manager (With both extensions installed and latest release)Handcent SMS (No Font Packs Installed).The video itself is almost 4 minutes long and the size of the video is only 9.40MB.
View 16 Replies View RelatedOther than being briefly listed as a feature on the upcoming Droid X, no additional information has been provided regarding the "super slo mo" that the Droid X video camera is supposed to be capable of.Is this feature still a go? I went to the Motorola website and it isn't even mentioned. Could they have pulled it?I always thought that super slow motion video required quite a jump in frames per second (fps). As far as I know, the Droid X camera can only do 24 @ 720P. Maybe it will do super slow-mo only at the lower resolutions.If anyone has tested this feature, or has confirmed that it is or is not there, please let us know.
View 17 Replies View Relatedlooked for an answer on quite a few threads and forums on this one.on my moto droid, there are a couple mobile sites that will not stream video, but work on my old omnia, and my brothers htc hero. ie break mobile, the onion, and a few random other ones. sometimes it will play one video, then every other video from that server gives a "video not eligable for streaming on this device" or similar error message. it seems odd to me that some mobile vids will work on a hero but not the droid? or is it just my phone? anyone else fed up with this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedBGR has a video comparison up. The Droid X has much better contrast both indoor and outdoor. The iphone has horrible bloom in highlights outdoors Which crushes all detail. I would even go as far to say that the iPhone video is really bad. Not surpisingly, he declares iPhone the winner because it is 30fps and not 24fps. Personally I couldn't see the difference between the two speeds.

Then went back to play them it was REALLY choppy. Not exactly sure what is causing this. I would rather not covert everything to a different codec.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI hope someone can help. All my co-workers that have the Incredible, Droid ! and EVO can stream off of iphonemoviez. I was never able to on my X and thought it was because it did not have Froyo. I just updated my software to 2.3 or what ever Verizon's version is and the first thing I did was check out the site and try to stream a movie. It still says "This video can not be streamed to this device" am I missing something? I would love for this to work. Everything else is great after 2.2/2.3.

I tried a few last night (Act 1, Meridian, mVideoPlayer, stock) and wasn't 100% sold on any of them. mVideoPlayer was probably the most impressive, but none of them saved where I was on exit.Basically, I have two wants from an app:
1) Saved where I left off
2) Turn off the button lights during playback
I'd prefer free, but wouldn't we all.As a side note, I played a movie I converted with Handbrake and it looked amazing. Had only one lip-sync loss and it was fixed by pausing and restarting.

View 49 Replies View RelatedAfter a bit of frustration, I finally found a couple different methods to encode a DVD for successful viewing on the Droid. My first successful attempt involved using CloneDVDmobile using Playstation 3 AVC/H264 settings for screen size 720x480. I was able to view the video (full screen/aspect) using Act 1, Meridian and Video Player. A preferred method uses DVD Catalyst for conversion with resultant screen size of 848x480, and video quality at 900kbps. Viewed successfully on all 3 previously mentioned video players. I recommend both CloneDVDmobile and DVD Catalyst. However, DVD Catalyst gives the user significant control regarding the quality of the finished product.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt appears that you cannot take video while the phone is placed in the navigation mount. I tried this yesterday, and when the phone goes into video mode it is ok. But the minute you try to start recording, its kicks out to the main screen. I'm wondering if this is supposed to happed, or if its a glitch that mine has? Can anyone verify this?

When played back multiple times, it jerked in the same spot each time. I don't remember if I was running Stagefright or not when I took them, maybe that is a variable.

Whether it's around the house or on the go. 9 out of 10 places I'm usually at have highspeed wifi connections so I'm not too concerned about streaming over the 3G network; although it would be nice.
Basically, I want to set my PC up as a private media/file server that I can access from my rooted Droid X 2.2.....cheaply, free if possible.
I'm actually surprised that this device doesn't have streaming capabilities over local wifi networks. I can transfer files over from my home network and then play them but that requires a lot of wait time and uses a lot of space on the phone.
How to configure ftp and http servers with DNS if that helps. http would take a long time to code and can't be updated quickly so I'm hoping it can be done with an ftp server.
