Has anyone else noticed the person on the other end saying they are breaking up when using bluetooth in a car? My wife says all the time when I call her from the car I sound like I am breaking up and she has a hard time hearing me. Never had any issue with the old EnV, is this common for the Droid?

It looks like Chevy's kernal is breaking the root access for Titanium. Anyone else having the same issue? When I first installed BB .7, Titanium worked fine. Then I installed Chevy's kernal and now it doesn't have root access. Looks like a couple other people are having the same issue on AllDroid. I'm using BB .7 with Chevy's 1ghz kernal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several contacts in my phone where I have multiple phone numbers but the location does not always match up with Google choices (MOBILE, WORK, HOME etc) Or in the case of a store like Costco, a different number for each department - Main, Pizza, Pharmacy etc. On my Palm I just used to put initials next to the number to remind me which was which, but that does not work on the Droid - it would not call the number with extra letters. Other than putting the information in my notes, has anyone found a work around? Ideally, I would like to change the words, WORK, HOME, MOBILE, etc to better reflect the ownership and location of that particular number. But that seems highly unlikely since it's connected to Google Contacts. Just wondering how others handle multiple numbers besides a totally different entry, or by adding the info in notes.

As in, for examply this morning a friend texted me something that was not suppose to go to me, but they typed the message to the person that it should have went to but it did not, is this just a motorola droid problem? because i have not had this problem with my new driod incredible.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince I got the original 2.2 update for my Droid, whenever I get a new text message and slide down the notification bar and select the new message, it takes me to the main text message window rather than the actual thread to reply to the person. It is really annoying because it requires an extra step. I figured it would be fixed with the second 2.2 update but it didn't. I called Verizon and they called Motorola and nobody knew of the problem so they shipped me out a new phone and it still does it! I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this or if its normal. It doesn't do it 100% of the time but closer to 90% probably.

My problem is like in 1.5 and 1.6 devices, we can add a key to a contact with the Contacts.People.Extensions class. But now there is a problem with this content provider.. It's unknown by new devices. And it's the only provider who does not work. Does someone know why is it not working anymore ? And is there a new way to put some extensions for contacts ( with the ContactContract class maybe?
On test messages, on the left side is a silhouette of a person. I have the person's facebook picture on their people profile but it doesn't appear in the text message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have seen the new HTC Droid Eris commercial a few times and it seems to fudge the truth when using the HTC people widget. You can clearly see in the commercial someone clicking on a person from the HTC people widget. However, after they click the person it brings up the person's information, as opposed to performing the default action specified for the contact. From my tinkering with this widget, it seems that you cannot actually perform the action they show in the commercial.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm used to my contacts being under a contacts setting/button/tangible thing. I had my contacts transferred into Google Contacts, which now sync to my phone. Is there a special way to have contacts actually on your SD card? Or do i just need to keep google sync on. I tried turning it off for battery purposes, but then all my contacts went away. I've set up HTC People, but I still don't know how to like just view my contacts, or quickly add a new person. Sorry if this is very newb, I just waited a really long time to get a smart phone, and the only one I've gotten to use has been an iPhone since i deal with them at work everyday.

Now with Froyo sporting its own Bluetooth voice dialer, does anyone know if there's a way to switch to it? I am running 2.2. My biggest issue with the Motorola bluetooth voice dialer is that'll take up to 30 seconds from the time I press the dial button on my bluetooth device till it'll be ready for me to say a command. Totally unacceptable! Is my only option to go to a custom ROM?

View 21 Replies View RelatedFound a few threads about people having problems transferring their phonebook to their hands free kit in their automobile. Had the same problem myself - was able to connect and pair with the car kit. I was able to make and receive calls, but didn't have the phonebook.
Then yesterday, while setting in the car, I was going to re-pair the connection between the phone and car I noticed that in the Notification Bar that the car was asking permission to receive the phonebook from the phone. Opened the Notification and granted permission and clicked on always grant access (or something similar). Phonebook was then transfered. Haven't had a problem with it since...
Why does the phone say PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED? How do i connect it to the other phone. To be more specific the other phone is the ERIS. So is it even possible to send songs, pics, etc to other phones from the DROID? And can the ERIS even accept bluetooth file transfers?

1. Plantronics Discovery 975. I've got 2 of these actually one for my PlayStation 3 and one for my Droid. It's the main Bluetooth headset I use these days. Sound quality is excellent. It sticks in your ear with no hoop, is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It comes with a little leather case with a battery built in so that you can recharge the headset up to 3x when away from AC power. Has a little LCD panel to show you charge of both devices. (Infinitely easier than deciphering how many blinks equals what battery charge!) Best voice. You may see them on this seasons "24" as it's the headphone of choice at CTU
2. Plantronics Discovery 925. Earlier version of the 975. Great for call quality, battery life etc. Comes with same little case. Design is a little different but it gets the job done. No LCD screen on the case. Mainly used with my work Blackberry. Uses MicroSD charger, so you get an extra for your Droid!
3. Aliph Jawbone2. Much smaller than the original. Very tiny and chic. Great sound quality (it uses a little nub to detect vibration in your jaw to know when to isolate outside noise (using it's patented NoiseAssassin) so you could be on a crowded street and still be pretty clear. Only downsides are the battery life isn't amazing and the proprietary charger plus it only comes with a USB. (Becoming less of an issue these days as I'm starting to acquire a ton of AC USB chargers)
4. Plantronics Discovery 520. My original work Bluetooth headset. Does a decent job but is a little bulky. The ear hook makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods and not quick to get on. Has a proprietary weird shaped charging port. Battery life was average if that.
My 'droid will not connect to my Garmin 785T with the A2DP profile, sound for phone speaker phone works fine tho. Garmin won't do anything, I've already talked to them, are there any adjustments or setting on the droid that I can try to make this work, I'd really like to get Pandora or other audio going thru it.

Hey everyone. So a couple of weeks ago i took the plunge and rooted and haven't looked back. I wanted to get rid of my ipod for the gym seeing as i carry my phone anyway so i spent a few hours making playlist (i have over 20gb of music to go through) and used isyncr to put them on the droid. Great app by the way. Anyway so i tryed to pair my bluetooth headphones to the droid and it just scanned and never found the headphones. I tried like 20 times and yes i had the phone discoverable. So i had my Lt. at work try it on his android phone and the hooked right up. Is there something that could have happen in the root that messed up my bluetooth. Running sholes 2.0.6. Went to droid mod1 but it was killing my battery so i went back to sholes. Any help would be great.
