I saw a link for this site on precentral.net and figured I'd stop on by, but while I was here I figured I'd ask a question
I envy the moto droid's SMS / alert notification tones, and want them on my Pre! I did a search and found the actual droid ringtones, but I'm more into getting the alert tones.
Has anyone extracted these from the phone and bundled them?

I want to change the sound I hear when receiving a SMS message. I have successfully downloaded the BB sonar sound that I want to use.
I can't find the place to set the custom tone.
I see the list that the dx provides but no custom option.
I'm sure you can do it, but man I give, I can't figure it out... how do you set different custom tones for text messages, vms, emails, etc...?

Well before that I had no problem putting custom alerts for email and text messages. Well now I have my own Incredible and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again. Was something changed when the update to froyo went through or something? Someone help me out...I can't stand the preinstalled sounds.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have read a few threads about missing contacts but have not seen this mentioned.I set ring tones for a lot of my contacts, not all, maybe I'll get around to it one day.It seems that when I set a new song as a ring tone, one or more of my contacts end up with the new song for a ring tone. I noticed that the default would change to the new song but that is easy enough to reset.The problem with an already set contact is I don't know it until I get a call from them.

Is there any way to do this on the droid or a third party program available?Also, these are very simple. Is there any way or app out there that when i plug my phone in it will make a full screen clock like it does on blackberries? (in the picture of the phone in the media dock--that I don't have it shows something similar to what I want) Next, How do I choose different ringtones for my alarms. There are not that many to choose from in the list and I don't like any of them. Under the main settings tab, the default notification tone is "silent." For some reason when I get a text message, I'm hearing "green tunnel" and "life mushroom" at the same time.

However, fire department and my wife I would like to assign seperate notification tones. In addition I would like to download ringtones other than the standard ones on the phone. AMAZING CHOICE this phone is amazing but i see people with there linpack and quadrant scores and thats alot better then mine i have mine Over Clocked and Rooted is there any way to speed it up? Also i did install froyo leak but it didnt let me use my camera and the market not working right. I just went back to my original 2.1 with the sbf Sadly the market still isent working right.

How come I never heard of this coming to our faithful Original Droids? What does this update come with that FRG22D (rooted) doesn't? Is it worth the trouble to upgrade and re-root?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the original Droid. Love it. Thinking of getting the Droid X. One question. How is the shutter compared to the original? Im satisfied with the pic quality from posted samples. But the original has a noticeable lag when taking one pic to the next making quick shots and successive shots not very practicable. Specially since it makes moving subjects blurry. Does the Droid X camera take faster pics then the original?
