Does anyone know if you can merge calls on the droid? For instance, I am talking to friend A and friend B calls, is there anyway I can create a 3-way merged call between the three of us without having to hang up and call friend A, then add call, then call friend B?

I like how the phone allows you to link the contacts between the different platforms (Moto lur, Google, face book, twitter, etc) I have been slowly doing that with my contacts, and it's nice having all the information and updates for one contact in one place. My question is.. where is this "linking information" stored? If I get a new phone, will they still be linked? Am I wasting my time by linking all these contacts?

All the phone gets is e-mail contacts I already have in my phone (e-mail address entered in that contact with their phone info). Some of my contacts are now two times in the phone, once tagged Google and once tagged Phone. How can I merge these contacts? Also, the contacts aren't being synced up to Google, just from Google to the phone.

While I love the power of the phone and the capabilities, the actual phone is not exciting at all and I miss the Eris if only for the actual phone. I am constantly told I am hard to hear; usually they say I am grainy, muffled, or tinny sounding. Are there any apps I can use to help make call quality better? I have purchased a very expensive blue tooth, call quality is still bad. Now, with a particular friend, they hear a very annoying beeping sound when talking to me. And only me. I don't hear it but the only time they hear this sound is when talking to me and it's been since I got the Droid (about 2 weeks ago). Any ideas of what this is and how to fix it?

But anyways, I've noticed that sometimes I'd get a phone call and almost immediately it would stop and show as a missed call. It could just be caused by the person calling but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone else had the issue. In running BB v.1 with the 1ghz kernel and the baseband update. Any thoughts?

View 48 Replies View RelatedOf all of the power being used, it seems to me that the phone calls drain far more battery life than anything else.if I have a10 minute call it will drain about 10% of the battery.today I had a total of 53 minutes of calls and it used more than 50% of my battery.does that seem right? I thought that Motorola rated this phone at 8 hours of talk time.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use the unlock pattern security feature on my droid and yesterday I noticed that when I am using the phone and I take the droid away from my ear and try to put it on speakerphone or end the call, I have the put the unlock code in. This was never the case before yesterday. I reset the phone and it worked for the rest of the day (the screen would not lock during a call), but today it started happening again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.
View 16 Replies View RelatedRecently I've noticed that I accidentally answer phone calls without realizing it while the phone is in my pocket.Callers then hear the rustling of my phone rubbing the inside of my pocket.I've read that when the Droid X's screen is off, I should have to slide to answer a phone call.However, even when my screen is off and the slide to unlock and pin number lock are active,I am still presented with two buttons when I get an incoming call.This happens regardless of whether people call my regular phone number or my Google Voice number.I have LauncherPro installed.Am I missing something?I'd like to have the slide to answer feature so I don't unknowingly answer phone calls.

I just installed LauncherPro and now when I receive incoming calls I can no longer slide and answer calls. No matter what I do, the screen will do nothing other than show incoming calls and the slider, but the slider will not slide.
Is there anyway to answer phone calls (other than auto answer) without using the slider?
their Droid X going mute when making or receiving phone calls where the person on the other line can not hear you but you can hear them? The mute button is not lit up and I can't unmute it. I have tried doing a factory reset but that did not seem to solve the problem.

I finally have a solution Hurray.simple when call arrives hit the power button Once. the screen will go black and lock. and you can move all over the screen with touching etc and the call continues when you are ending the call just hit the power button again and everything goes live again on the screen to conclude the call. I was to almost ready to go back to my old phone just to be able to talk on the PHONE.

Right now, I am using my Garmin Zumo GPS as a hands free device. The Zumo syncs BT with my Blackberry and the Zumo cradle has a mic, so I don't need a ear piece. The output is sent through my truck speakers with a tape deck adapter. Works great. My question is this - If I have the phone in the car dock, can I use it is in the same fashion as the Garmin, minus the BT sync of course? Will I be able to make speakerphone calls while in the cradle and port the sound through the tape deck adapter?

When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.

My mom called me like 25 times asking me to look up something, when I FINALLY got the call on the house phone I was able to look it up in maps but unable to call her back at all (was using wifi). My EVDO data services work fine but theres not voice AT ALL. I tried calling my number from like 5 phones nothing, I also reset it turned off the cellular radio and turned it back on nothing. Now for some reason the only time I can receive calls and make calls is when I have it set to 1xRTT only....Idk wtf going on but the one time I needed to use the PHONE on my handset it decided to not work....I had like 3 people try and call me and nothing not very convent.

I also synced with the Gmail contacts and slowly I'm merging them. how the hell do I export the contacts to a new fresh CSV as I make changes on the phone? Does Motorola want me to use Motoblur forever? They don't have an export feature anywhere on their site.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have something like 470 people in my Google Contacts under "All Contacts" and only about 60 under "My Contacts." I like it that way, because then my Droid contact list isn't full to the brim with people whose numbers I really don't need at the touch of my fingertips. That being said, however, it would be very cool if somehow the "All Contacts" section of my Google Contacts could be used to identify incoming phone calls.
For instance:
I want my Brother's phone number in My Contacts so I can call him.
I don't want my ex girlfriend's Stacey's number in My Contacts because I don't need to call her.
I still have my ex-girlfiend's contact info under "All Contacts" because there's no reason to delete it outright.
I would, however, like for my Droid's caller ID to tell me that the person calling me is "Stacey" instead of "unknown caller."
Am I asking too much? I know I could just add everyone to "My Contacts" and that would work, I just don't necessarily want 500 people in my Droid phone book. It's unnecessary. Or even apps that do this?
I'm not a very sweaty person, but its august and I use my phone out side alot. Well any time I get a little bit of sweat on it the touch screen goes haywire, ie the lock screen bar just twitches. And after it unlocks it the home screens twitch back and forth. any body suggest some thing other then a blue tooth, for this problem? oh and anyone else having this issue. I'm using the verizon anti glare screen protectors.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I installed Smoked Glass last v6. night and everything was fine. This morning everything was also fine, sent and received 20-30 texts and no issue. About 5 minutes ago I was trying to send a text and I kept getting a message not sent. So then I tried to make a phone call and I could not make a phone call ether. I can still access the internet though. I have 2-3 bars at all times.
Can this be related to me installing the ROM (nothing went wrong with instillation) I wiped all data, installed rom and then backed up with titanum. I have rebooted my phone a couple of times and nothing changed. I also just tried to make a call and it completely rebooted the phone.
Can u set the phone to only receive calls,texts,etc.. from the contact list? Can u set a signature?
