I've got an Exchange account set up, and my personal Gmail account. I don't use the Gmail app on the phone, preferring to use the "email" program. I love the combined inbox, but when I get a mail alert and use it to open the email program it opens in the specific inbox for that account in the email program. Is there any way to have it open my combined inbox by default?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Maildroid for about 6 months with no issues. However, the past couple of days, I have one email account that says there are new emails to display, but when I click on it, nothing appears in the Inbox. However, if I go to the Combined inbox, they are there. This email was working before a few days ago! I even deleted the email account and re-created it. Still no email displaying in the Inbox. I do receive a message saying something about server messages and Inbox not available, but I've looked everywhere to find any information on this (even googled it and checked the forums with no luck).

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy accounts DO occasionally update by themselves, but it's not always spot on. Whenever I press the manual update button on the upper left hand corner, it doesn't seem to work whatsoever. (I send myself test e-mails and they don't show up when I press that button when they should).Any ideas how to fix this? Is this button not working for anyone else using IMAP? Did installing and uninstalling K9 mail maybe mess up the stock android e-mail app?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got an EVO, and I'm loving everything except this one thing. I would like my gmail app to default to "all mail," instead of simply "inbox." Why? I have some messages skip my gmail inbox (like facebook notifications or weekly coupons), so I have set labels to fix that! Keeps a clean inbox. BUT I want to still be notified of Facebook emails on my phone without having to specifically look for them. Say someone tags me in an unflattering picture, and I'm away from my laptop? I'd like to know right away! I have different needs for my phone and my laptop Does anyone else have these problems? Or...solutions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I go into Gmail (I do not have push notification on, just check it every once in a while) it will say at the top "Inbox (2)", but then says "No Conversations" in the middle of the screen where it is supposed to list all the emails in my Inbox. I know that there are two in there because they are there whenever I check Gmail on my computer.I looked for an option in the Gmail settings in case it only shows unread mail, but can't find anything.If I navigate to a different label, it will show all the emails in them, just not the Inbox.It started out OK, but I just noticed it a day or so ago doing this.My father was messing around with my phone the other day, and I'm wondering if he did something?

and my text message inbox just completely deleted everything on its own i have the text message maximum limit to 999 and i use the stock messaging app and my phone is not rooted its a bit annoying when all the messages get deleted. does this happen to anyone else?
I have checked this multiple times to make sure I am not doing something wrong, but it keeps happening. If i leave my gmail on the inbox screen and go to the home screen of the phone, when i return to the gmail app a while later after I have received a new email, it takes me directly to a prior email message--not the newest message or my inbox, but to some other older message. This keeps happening no matter what I do. I am using two different gmail accounts, and even if I leave the gmail app from my secondary account--it still snaps back to my primary account and some old email after my phone has slept for a while. Does anyone have any idea what is happening?

The catch is that they would have to stay there, not have to be reloaded (as if you were accessing the mailbox from the website on your computer) and wouldn't get pushed down the line and out of sight from your designated number of emails displayed at once in the list?

The issue I have though is I can send messages, my calendar syncs, but for some reason not my inbox. Has anyone else come across this?
I have been using the email app that came on the droid x for 2 weeks with no problem until now. i only have my yahoo email acct on it. this am, my inbox is empty. nothing has changed on my actual yahoo acct, so the emails have not been deleted. how can i get the inbox to repopulate/sync with the emails that are in my yahoo inbox? the other folders of my email are fine.

When i go to delete emails in my gmail inbox on my phone they delete off the phone, but not in my actual gmail inbox online. Because when i delete the emails off my phone the inbox counter still reads all those emails that are still there. Well when i go online to delete them it goes back to normal. How can i fix this to where i dont have to keep goin online to delete emails?

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy Droid was acting up a bit today. It was really laggy today so I did a battery pull, after which it was fine. Then tonight on the way home I got an email, read it, and the notification went away, but in my Gmail it still showed "Inbox (1)" but the email showed as read. I synced it twice, but it stayed the same way. When I got home tonight, I logged on to my email and it showed the email as unread. I just downloaded Twidroid Pro and Google Goggles, so I'm wondering which of these is the culprit.

However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat exactly does the gmail option "Labels: select wich labels are snycronised" do? Does it mean if I had a label set up and told it to go directly to that label and skip the inbox that i would still get an alert on my phone? The reason i am asking is because before i got this phone, i had a label in my gmail called "craigslist". Everything dealing with craigslist went into this and skipped the inbox. Thats worked well but i still need to be alerted when i get a new offer from craigslist. Will that snyc label option do what i want it to do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the HTC eris to the Droid and had no issues with IMAP on the eris which is running 1.5 OS. What's happening is I setup my personal domain email as imap and all works. I mark all messages in the inbox as read. When new email comes in it marks the entire inbox as new. I've deleted the account multiple times and done a hard reset. I even tested this in the store on 2 phones.
Moto doesn't have an answer and I found this thread on the VZ forums Droid IMAP emails always Unread - Verizon | Forums and Blogs - Verizon Community which the OP is using the same hosting company as I am. I've never had a problem on a WinMo, BB or iPhone setting it up the same way. Something seems off but not sure what it is. I've setup GMail via the same mail app and that's working.
