Aug 28, 2010I am trying K9-mail and I can�t get the inbox to open by default. I always get the Accounts (only have 1 account). I tried to check and uncheck "Integrated inbox".

Apr 21, 2012Is there a way or setting to always open the stock ICS email to the All Inboxes view regardless of which account is triggering a notification? If this isn't possible, is there a 3rd party email app that can do this?

Sep 3, 2010I just got an EVO, and I'm loving everything except this one thing. I would like my gmail app to default to "all mail," instead of simply "inbox." Why? I have some messages skip my gmail inbox (like facebook notifications or weekly coupons), so I have set labels to fix that! Keeps a clean inbox. BUT I want to still be notified of Facebook emails on my phone without having to specifically look for them. Say someone tags me in an unflattering picture, and I'm away from my laptop? I'd like to know right away! I have different needs for my phone and my laptop Does anyone else have these problems? Or...solutions?

I love the combined inbox, but when I get a mail alert and use it to open the email program it opens in the specific inbox for that account in the email program. Jul 17, 2010My accounts DO occasionally update by themselves, but it's not always spot on. Whenever I press the manual update button on the upper left hand corner, it doesn't seem to work whatsoever. (I send myself test e-mails and they don't show up when I press that button when they should).Any ideas how to fix this? Is this button not working for anyone else using IMAP? Did installing and uninstalling K9 mail maybe mess up the stock android e-mail app?

Anytime I've set up a shortcut to the URL on the screen it opens up in the stock browser - any way to make a specific shortcut to open a URL in an application of my choosing? However, the past couple of days, I have one email account that says there are new emails to display, but when I click on it, nothing appears in the Inbox. However, if I go to the Combined inbox, they are there. This email was working before a few days ago! I even deleted the email account and re-created it. Still no email displaying in the Inbox. I do receive a message saying something about server messages and Inbox not available, but I've looked everywhere to find any information on this (even googled it and checked the forums with no luck).

Oct 15, 2010Ok I have been trying to figure this out for a while. I have an application that needs to read images from a folder created by the application on the sdcard. I have no idea what the names of the files are because the user specifies the names of the files. I need to read the images from the folder and make something like the default image viewer, where you can share them delete them and things like that. Im thinking read them into a grid view first but 1) cant figure out how to dynamically read them from a folder 2) how would I implement the image options like the default viewer? If there was a way to open the default viewer on a certain folder that would help.
Anyways any input would be amazing been working on it for a while.

I wrote a database helper class that gives me back results for common queries I make for my app, and it uses an SQLiteOpenHelper implementation I wrote to open the database. I use the open helper to open the database and get a cursor to pass to my CursorAdapter.

The problem I'm having, that I didn't have before I implemented the open helper (before I just opened the database directly without a helper), is when I click on an item, which takes me to another activity, and then go back to this activity. When it initializes everything is fine, and my list is populated fine, but when I go back from the activity that follows, the list is empty and in the LogCat I see "Invalid statement in fillWindow()".
It appears from a few post I've seen that the reason is, when I requery the cursor, the database is closed. But I'm not closing it! I'm scratching my head on this one.
