My camera key is loose, English, and wiggle. Looks cheap to say the least. Especially when compared to the rest of the structurally sound phone. I don't remember my first droid being this way.

So the other day I went to the camera to take a pic (keep in my I don't really take pictures often) and the camera is all blurry. I don't really get it. Nothing like this has ever happened before and the screen over the camera is definitely clean. I'm sort of pissed off because the nearest Verizon retailer is probably 25 miles away and I don't want to drive that far for a damn camera problem. Any suggestions? I'm new to these forums so if I can figure out how to get a pic up I will do that.

I have added contact photos to my contacts using existing photos on the SD card. they are high resolution photos that look great on the phone screen even zoomed way in. When I use these same photos for a contact, and then that contact calls, the photo pops up showing they are calling, but the photo looks terrible.
I also see the terrible looking contact photos on LPP's People Widget.
Anyone know what is causing this? Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have great looking contacts photos show up when calls come in? I have a feeling this is happening when I add photos to contacts...not with photos that are coming through via contacts on facebook or google...not sure? Any ideas?
So I have my X in a cheap hard case till outterbox makes one. Has anyone dropped their phone yet? If so, how did it hold up? was there any damage?
View 49 Replies View RelatedI'm speaking as a formal HTC user, Had the HTC Eris for over 6 months, before that, the palm Pre.... and being around my mother with her HTC Hero (cdma) her phone ringing all day long it was impossible to ignore that thing, dang loud and clear.
My previous phones both had VERY loud and rich speakers on them (the speaker the ringer/music/sound affects come out of), even in some noisy environments it was impossible to miss a call when I had service, just the week that I've had the droid X, I've missed several calls either from not noticing the vibrator in looser pockets or its just too dang quiet.
Speaker placement is bad too, sitting the phone on a slighty soft surface like a chair can muffle the speaker to nearly impossible to hear 6 feet away.
I'm hoping the droid X doesnt have a hardware deficiency and that this can be fixed through software... My best buddy has the droid x also, his is just the same, very quiet vs my old Eris put side to side.
Ok, now I've had time to listen to music on the Droid X and I ain't liking it. I'm comparing it to the iphone and it's so weak in comparison. Is it just me or do others feel the same way?
View 37 Replies View RelatedI barely ever get it to work accurately. It's easier just to jump to the contact list. I would like to use it in the car, and this is through the handset not bluetooth. Otherwise it's AWESOME. I am humbled so far, especially at the app selection.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use Slacker and Pandora every day in my car on the ride to and from work, via bluetooth.Every Froyo rom I've tried (CM 6 alpha, the straight FRF57, FRF84, etc) sounds terrible.Its like the highs and lows are WAY overboosted and distorted.Because this has been common to every rom I've tried to date, and it is always fixed by reverting to my rooted 2.1, I usually do that.But I'm tired of missing out on flash and chrome-to-phone. Is there a sound fix?

I mean come on! We can't save pictures, can't batch delete, hell we can't even click most links! Maybe I'm venting a little, but It's kind of embarassing when your a company's web apps work better than their natively installed apps that come pre-installed on a phone whose OS you developed!

I didn't do an OTA update, i followed a website that was for VZW which is my carrier and said it was the same update. No custom roms or any custom software....
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst off, I read these forums like every day for 2 months (nearly drove my wife insane!) leading up to the release of the X. Stood in line and bought one in the store on the 15th. Had nothing but iPhones until now - loving my DroidX!
BUT
As of right now my battery is down to 60% after having been unplugged (when I unplugged I was at 100%) for 1hr 46m 9s!
It shows display at 93% and cell standby at 7%.
I'm running smart battery mode, auto screen brightness, not that many widgets, and I rooted it and have autokiller running on Aggressive.
Do I just have a bad battery? And if so will Verizon (or Moto) give me a new one?
No matter where I go I have terrible 3G coverage. Either a weak signal or no coverage at all. I've had a blackberry before and always had great 3G coverage in these same areas. What could be the problem?

I installed text to speech and it works, but when i go to run something that uses stt (like in handcent) it just says "rencognizer not present." So... how easy is this? Is there a recommended phone or small range of phones within my price bracket? And... are there disadvantages, and do I get automatic updates and stuff? I'm a fairly heavy medium-term Linux and Ubuntu user but this is my first adventure with Android!
I cant figure out why my camera button is tiggering the volume and not the camera. Every time I press it to use my camera it keeps lowering my ringer volume and when im in the camera mode(from app) it wont snap any pics, it just takes me back to my main page and lower the volume. Can anyone help me out?

View 49 Replies View RelatedI'm on my 3rd Eris - replaced each one for the silent bug. This one hasn't gone silent yet, but the soft keys (home, menu, back, and search) don't light up. Major PITA when using the phone at night. When I took it back to Verizon,they said the buttons aren't supposed to light up. Now I'm second guessing myself. So, can someone with an Eris check it out on your phone and see if the buttons light up? Is there a setting for this that I'm missing? BTW - This last replacement shipped with 2.1 installed and hboot 1.49.

View 28 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

What is your LEAST favorite app that you've downloaded or paid for? Why would you discourage others from downloading/buying it?
Long time lurker. I have had an eris for awhile and numerous issues. I have sent 10 tweets and 4 emails to HTC and tried calling 5 times and keep getting disconnected. Someone picks up and then gone.

I'm starting to think its just the Eris because I've had other phones with Verizon and have had very good coverage with them.
