How do you get the default home launcher back?. I'm presently using the 2.1 launcher and I'm not liking it. At one point when I first restored the ROM it gave me a choice and I selected the use as default button... how do I get back to home the Launcher.

Ive had open home downloaded for over a month and i only used it for a short period of time before switching back to the default homepage setting. Now, because of the new features added to Open Home i want to switch back, and every time i open 'Open Home' it only opens until i hit the home key. Then it does not ask me what i want to use as my default as it used to. I went to settings>applications>manage applications>open home to clear all defaults but it is not highlighted for me to select it. How can i set Open Home to my default again?

View 49 Replies View RelatedOK so I have launcher pro plus as my home replacement, but I wanted to go back to the stock home launcher and I cant. I tried home switcher, also tried clear home defaults too, nothing has been working. I went into manage apps and neither 1 is set as a default, so I cant clear the default. I tried a force stop on launcher pro but that didn't work either. I don't wanna un install launcher pro bc I have it set up nicely, I just want to set up the stock home for fun and giggles.

And I uninstalled my stock version of LP so I could install the new version...only problem is I already un installed the ADW that came with RubiX...now I have no home launcher and can't access my app drawer to get into Astro to install the new LP. How do you power off and power back into reboot recovery so I can restore my last backup?

BH_Man's ROMs are great and everything, but I'm a little disturbed that choices get made for me like which Home screen app to use and there's no way to even switch back - the default home screen app is gone. How can I get the default Home app back? I just want the stock system, I thought these ROMs were supposed to be lightweight stock ROMs

My question is, what does Launcher Pro offer over the stock home screen app that comes on the X? The stock one now offers a dock at the bottom and has 7 different screens. I want to return to the standard home screen. In addition, whenever I try to make a call the phone makes the call with my speakerphone activated. It's a Galaxy SII Skyrocket.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i use Home Switcher to switch homes (htc Sense and Launcher Pro) when i go to the app and click use sense as default when i press the home key it still goes back to launcher pro..so when i use sense i need to try to not press home which is annoying! Also i have hand cent sms and i get a double notification. for some reason when i go to messages>menu>settings n go to unchecked received notifications i still for some reason get notifications from the stock. I even went to make sure its unchecked and it is!
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk one of the weirdest things happened just now. I switched back to UD 8 last night just cause. I had on BB 0.5 b4 if that matters. I didn't wipe data or cache either (Don't know if that matters or not). So for some reason both launcher pro and android system force closed. So I went to UD settings and put fix permissions. I then switched to ADW Launcher to see if that helped.
That helped for a little while but while i was in a call a few minutes later I press the home button and it doesn't even work!!! I pressed back until I hopefully went back to the homescreen. It first of all never went back to the homescreen and second of all just stayed in the browser and another note is that while I tried to go home it didn't work but when I held the home button it showed my recent apps.
So I did a battery pull and all it did was stay in the boot animation for almost ten minutes. Now I just have the battery out to let the droid cool down. The CPU was getting pretty hot. Was this just an overheat or did my droid just flip out on me. Would like to know if something similar to this has happened to anyone else for future reference. I know I'm definitely not bricked but what would be the right steps to get back to my normal droid.
edit: all of this happened after I put the sense theme, keyboard, and revolution theme onto my sdcard. While the files were on my laptop they gave my laptop the blue screen of death. I found these files in another thread on this site. Could they be killer files set out to kill any device that they are on. Perhaps. But idk what to do still.
When I first Bought My Droid X. I installed GDE which I Love and also Lockbot Pro which I also enjoy the Versatility of. During my 2nd day of use my screen went blank and no matter what I did the factory screen would not return, so I did a Hard reset back to factory settings. Now my problem is, that my original factory home Screen is no Longer Available through the home Button even if I uninstall Lockbot pro and/or GDE.
AND when I press the home Button it always asks me If I want to go to GDE or Lockbot (but as everyone knows, U never pick the lock screen). Should I just give up the Apps I like. I have the desire to got back to the factory home screen. That's why I ask, I can't without doing a Hard reset everytime. By the way, My 1st Droid (with The hard keyboard) always gives me the option of GDE, Home, or Lockbot When I press the home Button.
I really like the car dock for the Droid, but I find the "Car Home" application to be very annoying.First, there are no options to customize it, and you are stuck with the shortcuts they think I want. Second, you can't even avoid it.I would be okay if you could just hit that home button to go to the regular home screen once everytime you get in the car, but the problem is that every time you end a call and try to go back to the home screen it takes you back to that car-home screen.Has anyone figured out a way to either disable this or select a different app to open when the phone is in the car dock?My ideal situation would be to have the ability to have the QuickDial app open everytime the phone is docked in the car (any have that come up with the home button is pressed while in the car).

View 5 Replies View RelatedSweeter Home has just taken over my Droid via FC loop. This is terrible! I can't use my phone because Sweeter Home can't start. It FCed in edit mode, while editing a custom tray, and now (for the past several hours), I can't get it to stop it's FC loop. I've pulled the battery, and when I try to boot into safe mode by holding the keypad menu button down while powering up the phone, after a point the phone vibrates, and restarts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't know how I did it, but on my home screen, originally I saw this:with the phone on the left, 2nd home screen to get to all the apps, and the contacts button to the right with the 5-7 screens.somehow I got it on some "Linux" mode where when I press anywhere on the screen, it will shrink to three small windows, two of which are empty and 1 of the windows only displays the following icons: Droid Market, Browser, and Maps along with a dock at the bottom. I want to go back to the way it was beforehand. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Before I rooted my phone I was having the issue that, despite checking the "Use by default for this action" box, my phone just plain refused to save what homescreen app to go to when I tap the "Home" button.I've tried clearing the cache. I've done factory resets and data wipes (although I did restore "all apps with data" with Titanium Backup). I've tried using the Home Switcher app. Nothing works.Right now my phone is running the current version of BB, ChevyNo1's 1.0Ghz 5 slot update.zip for OC, and am using AdamZ's Smoked glass theme. I want to use the "HelixLauncher" app as my default homescreen, but it's rather obnoxious having to constantly select it when I hit the home button (it'll save my default action for a few clicks, and then I'll have to set it again).
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got my first android phone, the droid x yesterday. Loving it so far but I've got a minor issue that drives me insane (even though it really is a non issue). I've got the volume keys on the right, and then the home and back keys at the bottom front. Whenever I click home or back, they do the home and back function, but also do volume up and volume down with every click. Its painfully annoying, because it vibrates and pops up the volume window over the top of everything, every time. And obviously, the home and back keys are two of the most clicked buttons on the phone, so its constantly going up n down. I think this also adds to battery drainage as its double functioning/working twice as much. Does anyone know of a way to disable the home lkey and back key from controlling my volume as well?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.
