My calender sync seems to have stopped. My company relies on Google Apps for our business communications, and normally everything works as expected. This morning, changes to my calender are no longer syncing from the cloud to my Droid. Interestingly enough, if I enter a new event on the Droid, it syncs to the cloud.

so I just convinced my boss that we should switch from our costly Ms exchange solution to google apps, as it can do all the same stuff we need and more. We all have Android phones and I have set up my HTC Desire (Android 2.2 sense UI) to sync with my google apps account, no problem.However my boss have the Motorola Milestone, and his android version just won�t sync with his google account. Every time I try adding a google account with his mail address (name@ourdomain.dk), I just get a �no network connection� error. But I can browse internet and youtube just fine.I have searched the forums, and it seems other people can add their google apps accounts just fine, while some have problems.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Google calender has synced with no problems. The monthly view shows each day white and the days with appointments show what looks like a green slider. However one day, this past Monday is gray. I have looked at my main Google calender and there is nothing different for this day then other days through the month. I am able to click on the gray day on both the main calender and on the Droid and it will open up. Does anyone else have something like this?

One thing will determine whether the Droid ends up being life-changing or just cool... I need to work out some calendar issues! Two calendar related questions:
1. Can anyone help me to resolve a sync problem? I'll try to explain my issue as clearly as I can... when I got my Droid, my Google calendar events magically showed up on the phone. Up until now, I only had a few personal things on my Google calendar. Since I'm now hoping to have only my work calendar on the phone, I went on my computer and deleted all events so I could start with a clean slate.
Calendar is now clear when checked on my computer and clear when checked on the browser on the Droid, but when I click on the calendar icon on the home screen of the Droid, all of the old calendar events are still there. To see if it just wasn't syncing, I tried adding an event on the Droid and on the computer, and both showed up. Just the old events won't go away. Anyone know what's up with that and how to resolve it?
2. I'm also interested to hear if Google calendar is buggy in general or has a lot of syncing issues. I'm using what my clients refer to as "the last Palm Pilot on earth" to schedule appointments and I live in fear of some horrible incident that would incapacitate both my Palm Pilot and the computer I sync it to (the girl's got issues, what can I say?). I got the Droid thinking that the solution to my problem would be using the calendar on the phone so it would back up to Google calendar and I'd have all my info safe and sound.
Now that I'm having an issue with the calendars not syncing properly, I'd worry that a scheduled or deleted event might not show up on the calendar, which would be a disaster in my line of work. Do any of you successfully use this calendar setup?
Does anyone know if the stock calendar widget can display more than 1 agenda item? Seems that displaying only 1 item on a 2*2 widjet is a waste of space.I have droid agenda and smooth calender widgets installed.
Smooth calendar suites my needs better, but does not fit with other widgets on my home screen as well as the stock widget.Droid agenda is awesome, just cluttered.I would like for the stock widget to work better for me.
I must be overlooking something.I am simply trying to get my phone to keep contacts synced with Google Contacts and I don't want "All" contacts just "My Contacts".Every time I send an email in Gmail, it automatically adds it to all contacts.It is going to bloat my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got root access the other day, and i'm running the 2.1 ROM (build number ESE81 by Pete) that I got from ROM Manager.I've started to run into an annoyance that I didn't have before (or at least didn't notice)... It doesn't sync with the google calendar correctly.(similar, but not identical, thread here.)It seems to have duplicated all events on all calendars onto the primary calendar. I tried to simply delete the calendar (which actually just removes all events, since you can't really delete it). Even after sync, though, it doesn't delete what was deleted on the webapp. Interestingly enough, it does copy events that i add to the calendar webapp.This means that android sync sees the new events, but doesn't see that all the old events were deleted. Any ideas? I suppose this may just be a GCal bug, but my gut feeling is that it's because of the rooted ROM.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently got the droid x and relinquished my blackberry curve.I love this phone but I have one major problem.I am a psychologist, and use my X to schedule all of my appointments, and keep track of my clients.Because of legal issues and client privacy laws, I need to keep my phone from syncing my Google calendar to the internet.I can't have that information out there.I use Gmail for all of my email and contacts and such, but every time I turn off Google sync on my phone it syncs again the next day.I don't want to just kill all syncing, or I won't get my email anymore. Any ideas? I am also up for finding an "offline" calendar that has the same principals of Google calendar, but has no syncing ability.

Is there a way to sync only one specific Google contact group rather than getting everyone that happens to have a phone number from the generic "All Contacts" section? If I go into the standalone Contacts app the only contacts I see on the "Contacts: Google" list are the ones I want but when I go into the contacts in the phone app everyone and their grandparents are listed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot the new Moto Droid which is spectacular. The Gmail sync with Outlook is brilliant. My old HTC Windows Mobile that held 87 appointments for the next year was synced with Windows Outlook which was then sent to my Gmail calender.The Droid automatically listed all appointments seamlessly.When I listed my HTC on eBay, I had to clear all contacts and appointments. This is very labor intensive to do on the phone one by one. I synced the HTC with Outlook and erased all info on the old HTC. I did not think much of it when a window popped up indicating that my Gmail calender would erase these items too and IIRC I clicked OK.A funny thing happened the next day when I plugged the Droid into the computer. The auto sync with the Gmail calender updated my Droid calender with the newly erased Gmail calender. It erased every appointment on the Droid as the calender auto transferred.After I changed my undershorts, I was able to restore the Droid by going to Outlook "deleted items", move them back to the calender folder in Outlook, sync with Gmail, and finally sync with the Droid again.

I just got a google apps account at work and added that email to my phone and now my battery drains fast and Google is the culprit according to battery status.Also seems like the sync wheel is on all the time at top of screen.

My company uses Google Apps for their e-mail, calendar and phone directory. I have my personal Gmail account setup as the primary account on the phone and my corporate Google Apps account as additional account. I can see my mail, calendar and contacts just fine for both accounts. In Google Apps there is a corporate directory that I can search from while using it on my desktop. Is there a way to see the Google Apps Directory contacts on my Android phone contacts or elsewhere on the phone? If someone is not already in my own contacts, I would like to be able to lookup their phone number in the contacts on my phone from the Google Apps Directory. Is this possible? My boss has a Motorola Droid X with 2.1. Can this be done in 2.1 also?

I see I can access them seperately by using an App called gtask but wondered if there is a way I can set it up so I can see my events and tasks all together on one calander. Hope this makes sense lol.
