I experimented with 2 different things. The Original file size for the wallpaper on the Camera app is 192x192. I edited a photo to be that size (the black and white one) and did the steps below. I then redid another one with a 854x480 pixel size photo and it also worked. So Anything up to 854x480 will work! Finally no more ugly grey looking wallpaper when taking pictures!

Having set it as wallpaper it is huge and zoomed in alot so I cant really see the picture, I found the crop setting and did so but it is still no better.Is there any way to make it smaller and not zoomed in so much?

Every time I press it to use my camera it keeps lowering my ringer volume and when im in the camera mode(from app) it wont snap any pics, it just takes me back to my main page and lower the volume. There was one feed that was a view of the earth from a satellite, and you could watch the shadow creep across the planet as the day went on. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

Here is what I'm trying do accomplish. I want to use the newest Bugles beast Rom update.zip but i want to insert the Adamz kernal, wifi driver, and a framework-res file so it can all be installed in 1 update. reason for this is i have 3 friends that i have rooted phones for and would like to keep them updated with the most current rom but i want them to only have to install 1 file (they are not very tech savy). so anyways i tried simply dropping those files in there appropriate place and installing it but i get an error "(bad) installation aborted" so what do i need to create/edit an update.zip file. i read maybe i need to sign the update but i have no idea how to do that.

Maybe 1 random reboot per day (or it will freeze playing angry birds) How do I modify to OC 1.2 Is there a preferred method to accomplish this? I've tried searching and I only got more confused. I've seen manual methods and I've seen apps free and paid... I know I'll need to edit the set scaling.sh. I haven't done that but I'm willing to try? Which method should I use? Do you have setting that are stable at 1.2? If so please share. I really think the 1.2OC will be the sweet spot for my DX.

One thing I've found is that when I try to add a new contact it does so as a google contact where as my existing contacts that were synced over show up as Phone-only contact. There obviously is a difference when adding/editing contacts but I can't figure out how to choose between the two types.

View 5 Replies View Relatedim trying to edit txt within busybox vi, but i need help with saving/exit. im running it out of the terminal emulator, and have ctrl set up as <vol. up>, so i believe i need to do <vol up><sym><1> to enter command mode, but i cant seem to get typical vi commands to work (zz) for write/exit. ok if i get past that then i have mounted system as rw, but within the vi it says [read only]. will this be an issue?

I know you can use songs as ringtones but it uses the whole song and I just want the chorus. I think you can trim songs on the HTC to use as a ringtone but I don't see a way of doing that on the Droid. I'm sure there's an app for it.

I believe I've seen that Sense UI on the HTC devices allows Date entry/edit in Contacts, but I'm not seeing in stock Android 2.1 on my Droid. Surprised Dates can only be entered & maintained on the desktop.

When I open the emu and type su and hit enter, it brings up an "Edit Text" dialog box with the options to copy or paste and it won't let me proceed. (I have successfully done it before on another ROM). Am I doing something wrong? Can I run scripts using Root Explorer and how? Is there another emu you would recommend?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a very high res wallpaper app? I woulnd't mind dropping a little change in the developers pocket as long as it is a quality app.
I have tried and cant seem to get any picture to show up right on the droid x for a wallpaper. How are you guys doing it. I found some pics to make a wallpaper and then resized then 960x854. I then sent to my gmail account and saved then put as a wallpaper which doenst look right at all.
