I have just got the EVO and have taken a few pictures and want to make one of them my wallpaper. Having set it as wallpaper it is huge and zoomed in alot so I cant really see the picture, I found the crop setting and did so but it is still no better.Is there any way to make it smaller and not zoomed in so much?

When I take a picture with my Galaxy S it looks great on the phones screen, but when I save it as wallpaper it gets blown up so big that only a small portion of it is visible on the home screen.

There was one feed that was a view of the earth from a satellite, and you could watch the shadow creep across the planet as the day went on. I thought that was pretty cool, however can't find what app that was.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI experimented with 2 different things. The Original file size for the wallpaper on the Camera app is 192x192. I edited a photo to be that size (the black and white one) and did the steps below. I then redid another one with a 854x480 pixel size photo and it also worked. So Anything up to 854x480 will work! Finally no more ugly grey looking wallpaper when taking pictures!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been reading through the manual for the Desire and it states that you can have a different lock screen wallpaper to the wallpaper when the screen has been unlocked.
However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.
If you could only choose one of these, which would you have chosen for the Fascinate? (Obviously it would be best to have both).

Every time I press it to use my camera it keeps lowering my ringer volume and when im in the camera mode(from app) it wont snap any pics, it just takes me back to my main page and lower the volume. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe android camera API is bound to one camera device, but in some situation we have lots of camera device in a netbook or handset. We can't use the same application with different camera device dynamically. For example, we can select the camera device in the VLC (Video LAN Client) on windows because there is direct show on it, but we can't do that on android by camera API without changing the framework. Guys, is there any mistake at my understand? Is there any plan to modify framework to support this situation ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

I'm Trying to fine tune the Camera settings and was wondering if you guys changed the settings around and got better Pictures/Video and what did you change your settings to? I'm more concerned about fine tuning the video Settings even though i know both the Camera/Camcorder share the same settings.

1) I'm not a photographer
2) I used Vignette on the Evo 4G
3) I used both the Stock camera and Vignette for the Epic
4) The Epic pictures were taken while there was more sunlight out, the Evo was more in optimum lighting.
5) Neither has been retouched in any way
I also have 720p video shot with both phones, just don't know where to upload it yet.
I have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

I tried with a couple different pictures that are on my SD card and did it from Menu>wallpaper>gallery>photos>pick the photo>save. but it doesn't save??? any suggestions, ideas?

We know the phone's specs, resolution and know what to expect for the most part so why not get ready for the big launch day with some potential wallpapers to use. I'll start it off in my following post with some that I borrowed from the Incredible forum. Just a note: It seems the best resolution to use for the EVO would be 960x800. Please post that size. If you find something that would make a great wallpaper and you'd like to share it, maybe crop the selection to that size or resize it. There is a way to post the pictures as thumbs but I really don't know it. If anyone is willing to share that, I'd resize it even small. Let's try and keep it as easy for people to share as possible. Now to the selection!
