So a while back I saw a app that let you set your wallpaper to the public feed of a webcam. They had a big list of webcams you could use or you could add your own feed. There was one feed that was a view of the earth from a satellite, and you could watch the shadow creep across the planet as the day went on. I thought that was pretty cool, however can't find what app that was.

Received the new update on my Nexus 7 (first generation) and seem to have an issue with wallpaper changing after powering down.....when repower up wallpaper changes.....is there a setting that needs to be reset to keep the wallpaper that I have selected and not change everytime power on and off ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the updated gallery now for my Droid and I see the new folders, but the folder which had all the pictures I took with my phone's camera is now gone. If I go into the camera, I can see the pictures that way, but there used to be a "Camera" folder in the Gallery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Incredible just got updated to the 2.1 update1 firmware. When the update was installed all of my pictures stored on the phone were deleted. Now when I take a picture, most of the time, the phone will just show the picture I took on the screen but not allow me to to do anything (take another picture, share, delete, etc.).
The only thing I can do to get the phone responsive again is to click the home screen button and then the click camera icon (repeatedly) until the camera is responsive again. I tried switching the phone to save to the Micro SD card instead of the Phone memory but am still having the same problems. I have also tried turning GEO-Tagging on and Off but that does not effect problem.
When I take a picture with my Galaxy S it looks great on the phones screen, but when I save it as wallpaper it gets blown up so big that only a small portion of it is visible on the home screen.

Having set it as wallpaper it is huge and zoomed in alot so I cant really see the picture, I found the crop setting and did so but it is still no better.Is there any way to make it smaller and not zoomed in so much?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI experimented with 2 different things. The Original file size for the wallpaper on the Camera app is 192x192. I edited a photo to be that size (the black and white one) and did the steps below. I then redid another one with a 854x480 pixel size photo and it also worked. So Anything up to 854x480 will work! Finally no more ugly grey looking wallpaper when taking pictures!

However, I can't seem to manage this at all.
Does anyonw know if this is possible or if it is an error in the HTC manual?
The reason being I would like to have a nice bright lock screen image but a normal black background for when apps and widgets are all over it.
I have old version of my app installed in the G1, and then I copy the apk file of new version to the SD card. When I install the new version from SD card, it raises a error: 07-08 22:11:05.396: DEBUG/(1748): unable to unlink '/data/data/ com.android.packageinstaller/files/myapp.apk': No such file or directory (errno=2) btw: I do not want to uninstall the app, I just want to update the app when I install the new version of app.

We can't use the same application with different camera device dynamically. For example, we can select the camera device in the VLC (Video LAN Client) on windows because there is direct show on it, but we can't do that on android by camera API without changing the framework. Guys, is there any mistake at my understand? Is there any plan to modify framework to support this situation ?
