View 5 RepliesHere's another adult nature style or realistically in a sense pg13 boot animation. Plain Pic Preview included in thread. Get it Now click Here! If you missed the other one you can see it here on Android Forums:18 + Adult Boot Animation
For some of my other non-adult animation work visit:here, VERY IMPORTANT:
After downloading, for users that are not already familiar with this you will need to make sure that you rename the boot animation when ready to use to the name bootanimation.zip exactly as I have it spelled there and I do believe that it is case sensitive.
Also, if you are a newly rooted user or are not sure how to replace this I recommend using root explorer - and then follow these steps:
1.Rename file xyz.zip to bootanimation.zip
2.Copy or Move File
3.Go to System/Media
4.Select Read/Write setting
5.Paste and click OK to overwrite(possibly copy this to another directory for a bakup before overwriting or you will lose the bootanimation already in your phone)
6.Long press to generate menu and select permissions
7.Select rw-r-r or use all permissions
8.Select Read/Only setting
9.Reboot and Enjoy
Another option is to:
put the bootanimation.zip, using terminal into data/local ...
typing command:
#su
#cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
Keep the spaces it won't work without them also do not type the # symbols
# = superuser privileges
$ = no super user privileges
If anyone encounters any bugs, etc... or you just need a little more help on how to use these just post and I'll and I'm sure other users too, will be more than happy to do my/our best to correct any issues or assist in answering your questions.
I truly hope everyone enjoys and please consider donating (link at bottom) if you like my or LiQuID's hard work as we are struggling and can barely make it right now. If you can't we understand too and enjoy bringing you more enjoyment with your phones, we just ask if you can spare anything to please consider trying to help out a family in need.
does anyone know if you can set the LEDs on the droid x to indicate charging status?

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy dad (64 yo) lives out in the boonies and doesn't have access to high speed wireless internet. I have a rooted Droid Incredible and I have WiFi Tether and also have done this --> http://androidforums.com/1697630-post20.html to allow for native Wifi 3G with my phone. My question is can you do the same hack or one like it for the Droid X?If so is it possible w/o root?

View 23 Replies View RelatedStill debating on which phone to buy. With the droid x the major concern is soft volume (some phones seem softer than others); rumors of over heating and wifi issues.
Is there a known hack to fix the volume issue; or has Motorola ack the issue and have publically indicated a fix is in the works? Next weekend is no-tax weekend (in Ma) so I might try to pick a phone up then...
I'm pretty sure the wifi issue is a firmware problem (shame on moto for using an encrypted boot loader and having bugs like this one); not sure if overheating is limited to a few phones or is a design issue.
Anyways please add comments (negative and positive) relative to alternatives (samsung s and evo are major contenders). With the samsung the major negative is it pauses now and then and also have soft volume (there is a fix for the gps issue); for evo the major negative is +$10 and poor battery life (this phone is nice and loud) also the display is a bit dimmer than the droid x (an issue for outdoor usage).
How do you block Android game files from adding themselves to your media players? For example, if you're using Moboplayer to view the pics and vids you've shot with your camera, and you have a game like Dragon's Lair that has hundreds of mini 3 mB vid clips on your device to play the game, when I try to view my personal videos, I have to filter through the 800 some odd game vid clips just to look at my home videos. To add insult to injury, if you use a backup like Verizon that backs up only your newest movies and pics, it also downloads these hundreds of vid clips as well as photos of the uniforms on a game like Home Run Battle.

Is there a way in the OS to really block a caller/sms. I already have sent to VM but what I'd really like is a big go fuck yourself to be sent back to them.
Google Voice would work if it would actually control my other number and not just theirs.
Any ideas/suggests?
using Beautiful Widgets for the clock/weather widget. I am using one of the skins from the available to download section of the config. Airport One or something like that. When I turned on Home++ it took that skin off, and its not even showing in my downloaded skins. Nor is it available to re-download. This is the case with a few others I downloaded as well. When I uninstalled Home++ they all magically appeared.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to .sbf last night back to 2.1, rooted with Universal Androot and then used rom manger to update to 2.2 which is 2.3.9 then when I try to restore a backup or apply any zips from sd card during clockwork Mod recovery I get the following error.
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.5
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0pt1)
(Device or resource busy)
Can't mount /sdcard
Does anyone have any solutions to help me out? I am not sure if it was something to do with the root method I used or something else I need to do to get it going.
The first time I rooted I installed the first leak 2.2 myself and then rooted with adb, but I no longer have the leak 2.2 file so I rooted 2.1 first then installed 2.2 like I said earlier through rom manager.
I read that official 2.1 (from another Droid forum) will be blocking root access. I too thought that this is kind of odd, so I thought to ask.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm using the free Advanced Task Killer app save as much battery life as possible.
After I "kill" all the apps, the same programs tend to run all over again (Alarm Clock, Corporate Calender, Settings, etc). How do I block programs that I don't use but tend to open continually?
Every where I go with the navigation on my droid it is off by a block. The street view is real obvious of that. Anyone else have that problem?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've read a few posts in other forums where 2.2 doesn't allow you to kill apps with a Task Killer, can anyone confirm or deny? Please no task killer arguments! Just curious whether it still allows you to use one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm developing an Android app which needs to perform an HTTPPost to get a token back. Then use that token for subsequent calls. When I perform the initial call to get the token, it throws an exception: org.apache.http.auth.MalformedChallengeException: Authentication challenge is empty
Here is my code:...............
I googled "Authentication challenge is empty", and one this website: http://fmpwizard-scala.posterous.com/using-apache-httpclient-authenti... he had a similar problem. He determined that his web server requires preemptive authentication. Which I believe ours does too. I tried implementing what he did, and still, no dice.
I've hard coded the token in other requests, and I am able to perform HTTPGet calls.
What is the Authentication Challenge that I'm missing?

I am using HttpURLConnection to send a GET request to a server. Upon reading the response code, the Android implementation of HttpURLConnection.doRequestInternal() throws an exception:
"java.io.IOException: Received authentication challenge is null"
I don't even get what the error is trying to tell me. I write an OAuth param string to the Authorization header, but this works fine on other occasions. There is nothing peculiar about my request apart from that.
Any idea what this means, what is causing this and how to get around it? This works fine with Sun's Java implementation, so I guess it's a problem with Apache Harmony?
I have to ask.
Where can I find a decent "Adult" site for my new and fancy smartphone?
Are there any suggestions?
Yes, I'm a gal and I'm looking for "that stuff". please no one troll, or send me pics of themselves.
I'm starting to get junk mail sent directly to my phone through my hotmail email account. I have added both the sender and the senders domain to the list using Windows Live Mail Beta. These emails are still getting through to my Droid X. First, there are no option on the phone to block emails is there? And secondly, there is not an option to add emails to any junk folder on the phone either that I have found. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried both adding my email accounts through Corporate (for hotmail/msn) and the email option on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to send a GET via Android's HttpURLConnection (which is an org.apache.harmony.luni.internal.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection), and upon receiving the response, an IOException is thrown:

What does this error mean, and what is causing this? I am writing OAuth parameters to the Authorization header, but I do this on other occasions, too, without problems.

Is it because most of the hardware is the same as X and the design is very similar to the Droid 1, that media interest is low? Seems the only people pushing this device are a few Android blogs. This is compared to previously launch devices for Droid 1, X, EVO and Inc.Even the posts in this forum are kind of low, compared to the original Droid, the Inc, the EVO and the X. Lack of media reviews and total preliminary posts here suggests the Droid 2 is being treated as as a Droid 1 refresh, hence the lack of high interest.I would consider the Droid 2, IF the sound output from the 3.5mm jack is louder and better range than the Droid 1 and X.
