using Beautiful Widgets for the clock/weather widget. I am using one of the skins from the available to download section of the config. Airport One or something like that. When I turned on Home++ it took that skin off, and its not even showing in my downloaded skins. Nor is it available to re-download. This is the case with a few others I downloaded as well. When I uninstalled Home++ they all magically appeared.

Does anyone know where we can buy Gel/rubber skins or some sort of cases that were actually made for the Droid?I've been looking everywhere. Usually Walmart (where i got my phone) sell the accessories for the phones they sell, but they dont for the droid.I really would like a working gel skin for it.but it says it wont ship til the 16th, and i'd rather get it much sooner.Im having such a hard time finding any accessories. AH! Nothing local has them.the official Motorola droid site seems broken. Shows gel's and stuff for the phone, but cant ever find them on the store page after you click the image.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI just ordered two new Motorola Droid's on sunday, they're due to get here on wednesday so i've been killing time looking at accessories. Just had a couple of quick questions. Keep in mind we're looking for the *gel* cases for the droid.I know that OEM skins/cases will cost more than the bargain skins/cases on ebay I'm guessing that some of the gel cases that cost more have had some more thought put into them and are probably higher quality (get what you pay for maybe?). I'm basically looking for personal recommendations for a brand or a website that sells GOOD QUALITY gel cases.I'm trying to avoid having to return something because it turns out that the gel case covers up the flash, the keys on the slide out keyboard, or wont allow the phone to be used in the car dock.. That kind of thing. Anyone have any success stories they can share?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried installing the Phantom Skinz I received yesterday and I couldn't for the life of me get the smaller pieces for the sides of the phone (only tried the sides on the top half of the phone) to stick. They would just slide right off and would not adhere to the phone. It was especially bad around the corners. I have installed many of these (multiple phones, macbook, ipods, etc...) and I have never had this much trouble installing one. Any suggestions from you guys who have installed one of these on the Droid? What should I mix the water with to get the best stick? I tried a drop of dish soap and that obviously didn't work. I did get the one on the screen fine (however there are some bubbles that still haven't went away after 24 hours !)

On the car dock the "Car Home" was default to the home key on the Droid. If I backed out of Car Home to get to an app or something, I would just touch the Home key and it would get me back to car home.

I know this is possible because there is an application : TheftAware which does block all the buttons so they have no effect at all.
And I also would like to know how to make a dialog window or any kind of window which would stay on top no matter what (this is also done in theftaware).
They are also able to block(hide) the call screen... does someone know how are they doing that ?
Does all this means that android is not that secure after all ?
When I used to have a G1 I remember having an app that automatically updated the hosts file to block ads. I can't find it anywhere, does anyone remember the app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust installed Better Keyboard on my Droid, but am not 100% satisfied with the resolution of the keyboard. The default Android keyboard is gorgeous, but the Better Keyboard seems fuzzy. Not illegible by any means, but definitely not up to the task of looking goo don the Droid's screen.
Anybody have any favorite skins they are using that look good? I'm using the Android skin because I liked the way the default keyboard looks.

Is there a way in the OS to really block a caller/sms. I already have sent to VM but what I'd really like is a big go fuck yourself to be sent back to them.
Google Voice would work if it would actually control my other number and not just theirs.

I had to .sbf last night back to 2.1, rooted with Universal Androot and then used rom manger to update to 2.2 which is 2.3.9 then when I try to restore a backup or apply any zips from sd card during clockwork Mod recovery I get the following error.

(Device or resource busy)
Can't mount /sdcard
Does anyone have any solutions to help me out? I am not sure if it was something to do with the root method I used or something else I need to do to get it going.
The first time I rooted I installed the first leak 2.2 myself and then rooted with adb, but I no longer have the leak 2.2 file so I rooted 2.1 first then installed 2.2 like I said earlier through rom manager.
I read that official 2.1 (from another Droid forum) will be blocking root access. I too thought that this is kind of odd, so I thought to ask.

After I "kill" all the apps, the same programs tend to run all over again (Alarm Clock, Corporate Calender, Settings, etc). How do I block programs that I don't use but tend to open continually?
Every where I go with the navigation on my droid it is off by a block. The street view is real obvious of that. Anyone else have that problem?

In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like switching between the stock home and Launcher Pro and ADW. Since the 2.2 update, when I use a home switcher to use one of the replacements, my phone defaults back to the stock home screen when I hit the hardware home button on the bottom of my Moto Droid. Is there a setting I am missing to change this. Even when I select the replacement as "default" using the Home Switcher, it still reverts back to the stock one when I hit that home button.

The application Home (process com.motorola.blur.home) has stopped unexpectedly.
and gives me the Force Quit button.
It usually happens when I'm texting or using the Messaging widget on the home screen and today it has been happening very often!! Starting to get annoying.
I'm starting to get junk mail sent directly to my phone through my hotmail email account. I have added both the sender and the senders domain to the list using Windows Live Mail Beta. These emails are still getting through to my Droid X. First, there are no option on the phone to block emails is there? And secondly, there is not an option to add emails to any junk folder on the phone either that I have found. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried both adding my email accounts through Corporate (for hotmail/msn) and the email option on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a non-rooted Droid 2 and the Desk/Home dock. When I first tried it out, it worked as expected-starting the home dock screen when placed in the dock. However, I now find that whenever I dock the droid, the notification bar shows that it is connected to the multimedia dock but it does not start the dock application. I used Astro to browse the /system/apps folder and found the Dock app- clicked on Open App manager and then Launch at which point I get a message saying "Activity not found com.motorola.dlauncher". I don't know if this is why nothing is happening when I dock the Droid but can anyone tell me why this suddenly stopped working and what I can do to get it working again?
